Lahore was the most anticipated city that I visited in Pakistan, and I'm glad I saved the best for last. Little did I know, I had arrived during Muharram, the second holiest month for Muslims after Ramadan. I felt a little bit of tension in the air, as the processions I witnessed on this day were very foreign to me. Still, I was greeted with smiles and handshakes all day as I made my way through the fascinating streets of Lahore's Old City. Lost more times than not, I ventured past Mogul architecture, ally sized bazaars that allowed thru traffic, Shi'ite Muslims dressed in all black, and friendly street vendors until I ended up at the post card Badshahi Mosque at sunset. Enjoy the chaos mixed with tranquility that is Punjab's largest city during my final stop in Pakistan! 🇵🇰
