a lot of reasons actually, each weapon has it's own properties and uses for 1, for 2 when fighting end game content that is weak to a element, having dual weapons of the same time can be beneficial for that reason as well, and finally 3 some weapons are better for specific content, so again goes back to each weapon has a unique use and you may need 2 of the same element to properly push time/rank
