The anime didn't show it, but the gauntlet had an effect where it can block any damage on the palm of his hand side. That's why he was able to stop the blade. Also, all his buffs is giving him around 30-45% damage reduction depending on where he is hit (auto 20% reduction from the powder from the snake boss). That's why he survived and Igris let his guard down. Even Jinwoo mention later if Igris took it seriously, he would of lost instantly. Igris didn't use his twin daggers or anything.
So they will end at that "scene" huh, nice for cour 1 also nice fcking animation they did it justice and suprass it by many times! also the camera angle (panel angle) they got the epic look, one of the best manhwa adaptation for sure also, that fight is so fcking fluid like Gon vs hisoka (but much more longer and epic) or Ninja Kamui fight scene.
*CONTEXT SPOILER* Basically Igris was there to test Jinwoo to see if he was worthy of becoming the vessel. That was the order of Igris former liege (Ashborn). So he waited in that dimension for Jinwoo with basically most of his powers sealed. Fun fact Igris originally was sitting on the throne but he thought that it would be too disrespectful to the successor. So he hid behind the pillar. Igris now repsects Jinwoo very much and see's him as a master, friend and a comrade.

This fight was Just insane and may be the best hand to hand combat fighting animation i have seen so far..itadoris fights from jjk were amazing but A1 just nailed this fight animation.. can't wait for next episode ARISE🔥👌
Igris was way too op for this Jinwoo that's why he was modified so not to insta stomp him. He was modified by the system which means he was on his original human level therefore in his human armor or something like that.
