That's exactly why I did not get a Sprinter or Promaster. I saw more uniqueness in the cargo/passenger vans than the larger hightop vans.

not only that cargo vans are usually more stealth than those high top vans which literally draws a lot of attention. with cargos you can basically park it anywhere without anyone noticing that your living/staying on it

Starsky, RU-vid is very selective in who they represent regarding certain subjects. I've watched tons of van, bus, greyhound, city buses, step vans, tiny homes, double bus and shuttle conversions and the 1st time I saw a black person I nearly fell off my seat. So its now about race its about who youtube gives its viewership to. Search either one of the afore mentioned conversions and you'll see what I mean Its so bad that a RU-vid channel called BLACK VAN LIFE was invented..

Love her van. Love her dog. I would need to wash up. Being 60, there are some comforts that I couldn't give up, a nice bed, water and a toilet of some sort. Myah is doing just fine and she loves her lifestyle. Nice video again Forrest, I do enjoy them a lot!

My top 3 are minimalism, stealth, and low-cost. Fancy conversions are fun to watch, but "modest means" tours are the most helpful and inspirational to those of us without tens of thousands laying around for the buy & build. Feels actually attainable and makes the idea of pulling the trigger less overwhelming. I'm all about incremental improvements over time as income allows.

When I see someone living in a cargo van that is not a hightop, I get excited because it sort of brings out the tact and tenacity of van life.

@chikin naget I love your name by the way. For me my van would be my home and office. I couldn't imagine sitting at a desk all day and then while at home having to stoop down too. Posture is super important to me. I couldn't do that but if that's what you like enjoy it! To each his own.

I’m a Santa Cruz local too. I miss home . The rents are nuts there tho....I feel you girl . Stay safe over there....it’s the new normal everywhere. The world is not for the people anymore. We are forced to be creative with shelter and ways of life . Love from Florida 💕 ✌🏻

Wow so many beautiful girls doing Van life lately this is awesome because it's usually men or couples but this is becoming bigger and bigger so great Van build and stay safe because I would worry about safety for myself so it's gotta be a bigger deal for women

I've sat in my car at midnight in walmarts parking lot trying to imagine what it'd be like sleeping there. I always come away thinking it'd be awful. I guess it takes getting used to, a whole new mindset When I travel, I always look forward to getting to my destination or getting home, once again I think it would take some real getting used to.

Hey, it's good that you are experimenting before you go deep into a lifestyle change, I would just like to mention that I have met lots of van dwellers that have never stayed a night at a Walmart. They stick to Beach's and mountains as nature is a main reason for their van life

It's just a place to sleep and get supplies in the morning before moving on. If you have a comfortable van, you just park, lock the doors, crawl into bed and sleep. Nothing to it. The nice thing about a Walmart is they are easy to find, and you can depend on sleeping without being hassled.

Well ive been a vanner nomad for over 5 years. Only 3 times did i ever stay in a parking lot. Twice in a Safeway lot in lake tahoe and once in Canada in a parking lot by a Canadian tire. It's no different then looking for a spot to park like regular folk. You just stick to nicer neighborhoods, or industrial areas or by businesses. It depends on your van setup. I actually sleep better in the van then i do in houses. I actually feel safer in the van too. Well having 3 dogs helps lol. You just get used to it. It's like moving into a new apartment or house. Except your neighborhood just changes.

Really liked what she did with her van. Wishing her many good times out on the road with her adorable dog. I wish she had been asked what she does to keep herself safe and where, generally she tends to park (since coastal CA is so hard on vehicle dwellers) .

So simple..so efficient...so effective... That van is completely stealth..unpretentious and very unassuming to its reality.. I just acquired a 22' toyota rv with bath/shower/kitchen but its absolutely commendable on this cuties build...

Nice van you have and cute little dog. I saw a RV show on tv that had a guy use PVC pipes along the outside roof top to heat water all day and then had showerhead and hose hook up to use hot water.

I was born and raised in Santa Cruz too. And she's right it's CRAZY to pay rent here. We lived in our Van for about a year and a half. The only other issue I'd bring up in our area is that the cops WILL BOTHER YOU. It's illegal to sleep in your vehicle here which is STUPID, but happens. U can park and sleep up the coast though if you can afford gas driving into town daily🤙🤘🙏

Am from SC too and I pay 2k for a studio. Not including what the complex charges in utilities ( trash, water etc) and decided to convert a van to live in in order to save $ for a house ( not in SC obviously lol) and to travel : )

I have been doing a version of van life since 1990. Wow, I didn't know that it had become a thing. I have never regretted it. especially as I now see this system tank. Living van life allows you to live you are a lot more free and wealthy than most of your peers.

I did massive searches for 'non electric cookers'😧, just because I saw no response to the what is the name of the cooker questions. IAm thinking it's a pressure cooker.¯\_(ツ)_/¯... but those usually need some sort of power source. IAm sure I will see this video again. Maybe by then the mystery cooker will have been identified. Am I the only one who thinks wanting or need to shower daily and wash your face after a day of outdoors is totally normal? She kinda scoffed as if it was the most ridiculous amenity. You do not want to be around me if I haven't showered. I'm doing everyone a favor 😂

@@shavaunaronan3188 but I'm pro van life and like to shower and wash my face. They're not mutually exclusive. You can tailor van life to your needs. (some) No need to act like people who enjoy showers after outdoor activity are just sooooo needy. Maybe it was more of a nervous laugh. That's just the vibe I got. She likely didn't mean anything by it.
