The inflatable inside the hammock is a bit out there. If its cold, run an underquilt. That thing would be sliding around and making all sorts of noise in there. But its your setup and if you are happy with it then dig out. I have a warbonnet blackbird which is designed for side sleepers. In warm weather, incredibly comfortable. In cold, I sling an underquilt and equally comfy and warm.

Hi Daniel, normally i do use an underquilt but for shits and giggles I thought I would try my insulated air mattress this time. Worked like a charm, gave a bit more rigidity to the sleeping position and was super warm. No squeaky noise as i wrap the mattress in a sleeping bag liner. Will definitely be using it again with the hammock. Thanks for watching. ATB Jason 👍

Good to see your expeditionary skills have improved (not getting lost 🙂) but not only would I nominate you as Leader I'd also put you forward as camp Kitchen commandant ....Looked like a great place to set up for the night. and great cullenary skills to boot. Hammocks are the best when you have anchor points . thanks for sharing mate. I just finished a 3 day, 3 river run over 1100klms on the KLR. Have you done Camerons corner?

I wouldn't be too sure about assigning me chefs duties haha 😁 Hi Mark, great little spot hey and perfect for hammocks in this pine plantation as all the trees are perfectly in line. I've been meaning to do Cameron's corner for a couple of years, got close the other year but ended up in Birdsville lol. Would like to go next autumn.
