When you were maging and you ran over to the mage hand at 1:20 did you mess something up or do you have to do that every once in a while to stay in the 3:1 cycle? Thanks.
yeah I moved 1 tick to early running back to the mage hand so by the time Olm should've attack he saw me in the middle zone instead of the melee one and turned mid without attacking
@@Spleevinton Thanks, I'm starting to get the 3:1 method now, I was doing 2:0 before this so 3:1 is a nice DPS boost. I find a good way to restart the cycle if you run a tick early like you did is to skip the attack just left of the middle and do a 2:0.
@@TomDonnan yeah that's deff safer than what I tried doing. You are able hit left of middle and then mage side to keep the cycle but I was too busy admiring my Shadow hit on mage side to click back to melee side in time. Shit game
how do you time it so that he looks at you right when you click on his mage hand? my biggest struggle is predicting it so that i run right as he turns, since seeing him turn and then going is too late
Visually Olm will turn from Mage to Mid and do a little bob up and down. How I got my brain to get it down was if you see during P1 after I attack mage on melee thumb I click each tile walking to melee hand line and as I get there I attack since Olm will turn once you reach melee hand line. If you have true tile plugin you can use that to see once your character is on melee hand line it turns in solos. You have a lot more time than it seems after you attack from thumb so clicking each tile helps slow it down to be in shadow attack cycle and limiting Olm's hits
@@Spleevinton once I hit melee line? Sometimes I get there and he continues staring mid for a few ticks. Is it because he can only head turn 4 ticks after a previous action?
@@umpalumpa421so the outer most mark tiles north south I'm referring too specifically on the melee hand either side it pop ups. If Olm seems to stare mid while you click to attack mage instead of turning as you click you are most likely getting to the tile too early. As you said every 4 ticks Olm scans sees where you are, if you are in his zone it attacks, if your not in the zone its looking at for ex. Olm is look at either side it and you are not on that side or by the melee/mage line it goes middle, if Olm sees you on the outer tiles it turns either from middle to you or from mage all the way too you. In vid from 4:00 to 4:40 you will see me rush a cycle and Olm stays mid since I ran to mage since too quick before the tick Olm decided what to do.
he was in 3 to 1 for a while, youre just toxic even the best speedrunners fuck it up a lot, all it takes is one misclick or being a tick off to fuck up the cycle and have to fix it.
why are you so toxic? This is a solid method especially for people trying to learn solo olm and understand his attack cycle and how the head moves. It's not 12-0 or 4 to 1 with a lance. And if youre talking about the mistakes, live stream yourself doing solo olm for 12 hours and Ill clip every mistake you make how about that
Yeah but Shadows’s 5 tick attack doesn’t work with normal Mage 3:0 like with Sang. This way is minimal brain power to maintain melee skip even without thralls + Shadow nukes mage hand faster than Usain Bolt
