Sorry about the audio for that last video (and this video, I know it isn't perfect, windows downloaded realtek on me when I have been using nvidias for almost a year, so I need to change everything). One thing I need to point out again just to be safe. This is not an overall tier list, it has specific criteria, check description for full criteria. This is not where I would place things on a competitive tier list.

Very different tier list from a lot of pros and for obvious reasons, this tier list is probably the most relevant and useful for your average HotS player. Great video, great content.

I once had a Cho'Gall in QM and the Gall was like oh damn, I think my Cho is not here and after 5 minutes Cho finally arrived, but the game was kinda lost at that point; still I think it was funny to have that Gall sitting in our base being absolutely unable to do anything at all.

Amazing video, very good list, I agree with everything except of Raynor and Rexar placements (my opinion). Raynor is solid B but not any higher, and Rexar is solid S all the way to the masters. I've personally had winrate of 83% with him on my second account from silver to masters. He is just way too good and versatile against any comps and any types of players, does not matter if they are good, pro and so on and so forth. And I think Rexar has the best camp clear in the game, he does not clear it fast, but he is the only character that can clear the boss as soon as it spawns in the game.

Can you please tell us where you would put Deathwing and Qhira in this list? And why.

This is an amazing video and the most useful tier list I've seen due to the criteria. For me as a mediocre player the fact that you take easy to play into account is a big factor xD. Most tier lists assume that everyone is a pro which is far from true lol

My new year's goal in HOTS is too keep playing ARAM because its already pathetic "players" (players with lvl over 1200 and over plat3) ignoring the objectives in regular matches or playing like bots, at least in ARAM they cant get lost...., most of the time

I used mostly muradin to climb to plat and it was very easy. Q quest and rewind if you get to late game can wipe ppl. At least for me, he is A. Can duel, easy to play and hight damage, only his waveclear is mediocre.

"you miss a Q on Orphea, you struggle in the fight" how so? Her Q has a 6 second cooldown. If you mean "if you are bad at landing her Qs she struggles" I would agree with you, but I can top the chart at 70% accuracy. Hell, my only issue is if I land too many in a row I end up accidentally putting myself in danger.

The way you talked about Ragnaros makes me think he should be in S

I just play Lunara, I realized with a high skill cap, she is dummy op, even in QM hitting 80k-100k siege and 50-70k HD my finger just hurts at that rate XD out DPSn the KT which is hilarious to see. I only play QM so for like 400+ levels I just play the game for fun, I’ll try ranked someday, so many terms to learn XD it’s funny playing only what I know and pointing out what actually things are make me go “Oh so that’s why that does what it does” moments 😂

Just hit plat today after a long journey started in rock bottom bronze division... Countless tries and countless promotion games were needed but I am finally out of bronze-silver hell. I intend on keeping the good work and climb ever more ! This is all thanks to your videos @NotParadox and I want to thank you for that ! (even tho it's just plat.. and just a game :p)

I strongly disagree with abathur in D tier tbh. Out of the criteria you desribed, he's quite strong in all of them, except for the easy to play part probably, even though he doesn't seem to be that hard to play to me, but I'm nearing mastery 100, so I might be biased here. It's true that his consistency in higher ranks comes from your team correctly utilizing the hat, but his consistency in low rank comes from the enemies in low ranks underestimating the power of a hat, if you give it a good try you'll notice that it is indeed very consistent. Then ofc we have the global soaking and presence in any rank, which arguably got nerfed with the exp globe changes. I almost stopped playing him when the globes came because of this, but as picked him up again, I noticed that it mostly just requires a slight change in playstyle and some getting used to. The fact that the globes linger for a bit means that you do have time to for example cancel your hat on an ally, move out of a bush/in front of a keep/whatever to collect the globes of a whole wave, immediately hat a different lane and collect those globes, and then move your body back to safety, at every wave, and then you resume hatting people until the next waves crash against the turrets. Sounds kinda hard, but it's quite simple once you get used to it and the tl;dr is: - his pushing got slightly nerfed (locusts, because of the now genereally more defensive positioning) - his soaking remains pretty top tier, you'll despawn an exp globe or two every now and then - he is, surprisingly, easier, safer and more consistent to play now. Once you get used to the slightly different playstyle that is. I'd put him in low A or high B tier, only because you can't just pick him up and do well if you've never played him before.

We ended up playing a few games together whilst on your smurf and got to see your auriel! It was a blast! The first I was Arthas and the valla pick you wanted was stolen by this dude HOLLYWOOD. We ended up having to carry him. I remember us discussing Blaze and you mentioning to me a few things you like to do with ETC and his talent picks. Since then I've gone from low gold to plat very quickly just being mindful of the small little things you mentioned during our matches! Keep up the wonderful work and hope to see you again in future matches! Also, this tier list makes so much sense and I can completely agree with a lot of your choices from when I was doing solos!

Make an ARAM tier list

I just recently started getting back into HOTS after 3 years off it was my "Boycott to protest China" break. I would be very interested in a updated for the post Pandemic 2121 tier list. With a big breakdown on Hogger, And maybe some talk about some of the latest reworks. Like say Tassadar who is a totally different hero now.

Your opinion of vikings in this tier list is incorrect. I once had an opportunity to play on a bronze 1 account. Being vikings main, I decided to go with them, ignoring other roles and heroes. Thus, I've got to gold 2 with 100% winrate before losing my first game. Vikings are extremely powerful in low ranks cuz those players aren't really familiar with soaking exp or looking at map at least sometimes. You can take any camps you want, you can take bosses right in front of enemy team, you can split push 3 lanes without enemies interrupting you. Having 3 heroes under your control in a game which can be won without teamfights is literally cheating

Hm good List. I carried myself several times from silver/gold to Dia/master. I would put: 1. Sylvannas down to A, she is prett squishy and lot of people in low rank will flame against her. 2.Zuljin to S. He can solo Camps,Carry any fights, survives, has good dmg vs Front and Backline. 3. Ragna to B. No CC,No sustain dmg, bad teamfight frontlane. Situationly S tier but overall B. 4. Li Ming to B. She canwipe whole low rank Team without relie on Teammates. Only cons are bad lategame (lowrank games dont reach lategame) and bad in doing camps. 5.Diabo to B. Awesome dmg, can takeout solo carrys, can poke and dive. 6. Valla to A. I played only Valla to plat. You dont need any other hero. Just stutterstep. 7. Lunara to S. Selfheal, Sustain dmg,burst, can finish of heros, slow, shes fast, vision, good range and poke... swiss army knife 8. Falstad to A. Birdbox build and u can control the whole map solo. Starts getting weaker in gold/plat. But still hast gust,good dmg,map control, douple soak

@notparadox Do you still feel that Chen is lower for climbing after his buffs? I used to play as a Chen main, and coming back to the game was planning on using him to climb.

this list is awful if your rank is lower than mid dia. many supports has to go at least one tier down because of low pve. rehgar also should be b at best, being one tier higher than other supports. auriel is crazy team dependant, her pve is a little overrated. lucio at b is outragous when you consider tthis list to be a carry list. orphea is one of the best noob killers as well also with waveclear. when your rank is higher, list is still awful because ana has powerful contribution to the team, a good maiev is a crazy carry as rank increases so there is identity issues going on here. jaina has to be below liming because she is more strategic than liming assuming that there is bad coordination. hanzo is a fantastic carry hero, player is impactful in all ranks, has to be b or a tier. and no offlaner should be in c tier especially when they have cc. sonya has to be a tier for strong offlane and also impactful teamfigts.it is a CRIME to put rexxar at c. why the hell you put malthael a while rexxar and sonya low. malthael has weaker teamfight when you rotate to carry the game. that makes no sense.

Since this is about solo queue and you stated that your criteria was heroes that can waveclear, take camps, etc... what made you put Imperius A tier and Maeiev C tier when Maiev can waveclear and take camps way better?

I was playing with a buddy who was a former Grandmaster. He was 1 vs 5 with Malfurion and beating them back behind their wall. It was so funny to watch him to that.

the real problem with deckard and dehaka is the way I see you build and play them.. deckard being both and dehaka for build.. and guldan is a beast you just have to hit your corruptions properly with one skill you can 100-20 someone then use q to lower that skill cd.. you combo that with a deckards constant debuffs and you're wiping out the team 9/10 and I can legitimately 1v4 most team comps with dehaka.. yrel is a beast double soak and is practically immortal...

Information for lower ranks! To carry with ETC is pretty damn hard! in low ranks ur team wont follow up ur engagements and leave u alone dying.. I've been in situations were I mosh 4-5 enemies and my team just doesn't react or still shoots the johanna. Then u die with ETC. You're also to slow in killing the minion waves 95% of ur team members ignore. ETC is NOT a good hero to solo carry. Also Samuro is a strong hero to solo carry in low leagues - U can destroy the whole map with him, without dying and then win by exp advantage

Thank you very much for this pragmatic analysis @NotParadox. I would like to be constructive here. In your Tier S, it looks like all heroes have sustain except Greyman. For that reason I personnaly would put him more in A or B, because Greyman relies more on your healer for his survivability (and cc help to be extracted once he dived), so as this is not part of your critieria to rely on your random teamates... For a similar reason, I would remove Malthael from Tier S : he relies too much on mechanics for his survivability that can be ruined by low levels teamates, it happens to me a LOT. Malthael for me is a situational hero, mostly good vs 3 or more melees so it should go to B. I love these 2 heroes and I play them a lot but this is my feeling about them. Thrall on the contrary does not have both of these problems, as he has good sustain, and spells easy to land with short casting time that cannot be altered by bad teamates. He is good in any situation and since I dare to play him in SL I have so much success climbing the ladder.

Falsted is more awesome then you realise! , Contently Attack moving and also staking his q. He also has a global that can be activated in an instant at lvl 20.. The main problem is he can be hard countered by what i like to call cheese heroes (ilidian, butcher and varian). Once he has his second ability (shield) his able to kill most heroes. + Junkrat is S tier imo

Just want to let you know that your videos are great. I really thought I was hot shit at the game and the reason I couldn't get out of silver was because I was stuck in an idiot trap. Your videos helped me realize how important macro is. I would routinely go 20 - 0 with tracer and lose, and rage at my teammates. Then when I started the macro game, I realize that my stupid teammates can't throw when they have an experience lead.

I guess you made this tier list for lesser skilled players when you say things like dehaka "to difficult to know when to join your team" Still nice to have some of your insight. Always like watching your vids.

why is murky rated so low? he has good wave clear with puffer can clear bruisers at 13 easily with the right talents when behind he does not contribute too much feed when ahead he has great damage and stun

I can't compete with Auriel... Tried several times, but even lose against AI (veteran). I always miss the stun, and after 30min gameplay my repeated offense still uncompleted... My energy come from my own basic attacks and sweep because ppl always run away when got the Bestow Hope. I only success when play my friend, and he's slowing the enemy so I can stun them.

Hope this helps, I'm returning to HOTS after two years. I was in diamond and even got master a few times, but the MMR decay is apparently crazier than I thought. Got placed into silver with my other friend who has also been away the same amount of time. The amount of people who don't have map awareness and get to fights late or not at all is astonishing. We constantly try to pick tank and healers since everyone seems to be only into range DPS. And since most people who tank in this league don't know how to properly engage/disengage or peel for the back line. Thanks for the tier list bud, going to give this a shot.

Diablo is C tier? I am offended. He's my highest winrate hero. I guess I have the skill to get that value then...? I find myself often having healing comparable to the healer and damage comparable to damage dealers. A couple games I've topped both.

The issue with Ana is not the hero herself, is her teammates, so many times i played her and i saw how my teammates are good eating enemy skillshots all day long but when i try to heal them they are so freaking good at dodging my heals

I very very very highly recommend for everyone in gold or lower to make a *personal* tier list. Nubkeks did a good explanation on that some years ago. To put it in a nutshell: tier S should be up to 4 heroes that you *love playing* and *have a good winrate* with. I see people so often play a hero over and over with just a super bad winrate (45% or less). And I usually check their profile in draft and ask them to take another hero, which boosted my overall winrate just as much as my personal tier list gave me so much more fun and a better game experience. :) Super cool video, besides. :D

Idk man, Mephisto has almost everything except single target damage, he has camp clear, waveclear, insane AoE, poke, he even has to some extend decent single target damage and % damage as well if you take the right talents, the only thing is that he is not too easy too play but not the hardest, I would put him in A tier, min B
