I enjoy the videos so much I got a bucket of North Atlantic salt water by the computer and I splash it on my face all the way through . Keep smiling my friend , you give a lot of people much joy!!!!!
Senhor Pedro, you use frequently words like lovely, delightful, "but I love it", glad... and that enriches your videos so much! Sure your images are spectacular and the sounds from the wind and the waves rushing past do add grandeur to them but your words and your constant smile are pivotal in making me and I'm sure, most of your followers, always anxious for the next one. I feel and believe that we all feel lucky and blessed with the opportunity and allowance to witness your travels and your adventure. Muito Obrigado "Pedro Sem Lei". Um abraco.
Peter, you have moved to the top of my list of favorite solo sailors to watch. I sail mainly in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington and British Colombia) onboard my Swan 371. Your fun commentary and positive outlook should be the benchmark for all sailors.
You're a classic skipper living his dream and it's a part of The Divine Plan we can share in this experience. Doing something this special is an opportunity for your authenticity to reap our admiration. Loving life is a good example for humanity. Highest Blessings
Thank you Peter for another part of the adventure. Beautiful scenery. Beautiful colors and grateful for the different camera angles. I really enjoy the bow angle showing Waxwing cutting through the water and her deck looking like it would be fun going forward and aft while undeway. I pray you hook up and stay aboard. I like the cutup spam to top that delicious pasta dish. My Sweetpie was wondering if that was your breakfast? I thought not and then decided it'd be just fine for my breakfast. 😀👍 I enjoy your video's so much that i am already jonesin for the next one. Please stay safe and keep living the dream. 🍻 I would enjoy a visit if you ever sail into Puget Sound. Think about securing a lanyard on the fresh water tank cap. 🍻
I hope I don’t run out of innovative ways to express the joy your videos give me Peter. I’m not even at the end of this video (you are 60 miles from Porto Santo), but I am about to drive to my own Dehler in Bangor Marina! Haven’t been able to sail for a while myself as I am waiting to have the gas strut in my vang replaced! Lots of sun in these videos Peter and some fabulous sailing. Your story telling is just the same as if you were on land at Kilrush. But your enjoyment and happiness is infectious. Couldn’t help being amused by your losing the lid of your water tank and your efforts to retrieve it. Priceless! As I plan for the day when I set sail on longer voyages, your videos fill the void and bring such pleasure. I am so grateful. ⛵️
Lovely sail Peter. I particularly love the sailing footage. It allows me to vicariously join you there. I'm very envious. Go well laddie . see you next time. Keep a hold.
Amazing…!thank you for sharing! With everything else going on in the world, this is a much welcome and enthralling addition! Stay safe and stay smiling!
lucky you had the clingfilm, Peter. Sorry I haven't been following for a week or so as I've been busy trying to complete the rejigging of my songbook, To the Light. Also preparing for a gig in Donegal on Saturday. Great to see you're enjoying the voyage. Love is a boat.
Beautiful sailing Peter, I especially liked the calm water with big swell as you approached Porto Santo. I really felt like I was on the boat with you. Thanks for the video.
One of my favourite captain's on RU-vid. So calming and inspirational not many are able to do. It needs a special person to send a spirit of love and passion to others. The comments say it all..... Fair winds and always safe travels Captain.
Hello Peter, lovely to see the video and our Irish Flag flying in the wind on the ocean s of the world. Up up Ireland and Up up Peter. Best wishes on your journey, sandra.
Lovely videos Peter! I'm on a bus in a big city heading in to work the night shift ,I turn on my phone and I'm on your deck sailing in to Porto Santo, beautiful job with the videos ,thank you 🙏🙏
Great video again. I agree with you in putting comfort and looking after the boat before speed. Why making the pleasure shorter? Drinking coffee in a cup without lid while sailing is an art. My cups all have a lid. Cheers and keep safe.
@@bosstrading928 I grew up sailing and was sailing on my own at 4 years old in a optimist , but I meet people that are sailing across oceans that are very new to sailing. If you can get out sailing with a friend that has a boat or get out dinghy sailing it’s a great way to get the feel of it 😊
@@peterlawlesssolosailing7189 thanks Peter, aye that's what I've been doing so far, out with a friend in loch swilly. The sense of freedom out there is really wonderful! Thanks again Peter, I'll be staying tuned in 💚
We all look forward to your next video, as we are along for the ride with you, even thought we only get a condensed version of your journey, we still love it!
Wow....30c temp? Thats t-shirts and shorts outdoor weather. And i'm sitting here with jumper and jacket on as our energy prices have gone through the roof and i'm too afraid to use my central heating. I think i'd best move to Porto Santos or Madeira! 😄👍 Another great video Peter. Hey the 'organised chaos' is how it should be!! Loved the filming of your cooking and the navigation desk surrounded by radio comms and nav equipment. That shows it's a working boat! Loved the on deck filming too.....the crystal clear blue sea water with white crests as Waxwing cruises smoothly along her way.
I really enjoy Waxwing in a breeze- so stable, so reassuring, such a steady mover! And, good time you made on this passage, she's a safe place and feels quite homey to boot! Now, your culinary tastes concern me (Spam, red sauce & pasta- what are you thinking?) but, other than I'd make passage with you. (Heck, I even smoke- so we are OK there!) Thanks again for bringing us with you- truly appreciate it & even look forward to the updates.
I must confess to a Smile regarding the water tank saga.but even bigger one regarding the retrieval.it must have heard the claw hammer coming out??? regards!!
As a fellow Rival 41 owner, I watch totally focused on every aspect of Waxwing, sails, sheets, movement.... it's great! Question: when you say the speed, do you mean SOG or boat speed? Stay safe and God's speed.
Will definitely be staying with your journey, as Waxwing is just about my favourite boat to watch cutting through water on a reach, or beating. I know that you'll be downwind across atlantic, but looking forward to see how she handles that as well. Great boat, Great adventure.
OMG waxwing was really moving under sail there. Propper sailing there Peter. Great boat and a great channel. Looking foward to coming along with you around the world. Fair winds
Thoroughly enjoying following your incredible adventure Peter. Just wondering about the staysail on your inner forestay. How have you managed to get away without running backstays? Fair winds and following seas!!
Great question, I have lower fore and aft shrouds that hold the staysail, when I replaced all the rigging I thought of fitting running back stays and asked a lot of riggers advice and they all agreed that my rig was ok without them . I’ll try video it next week to show my rig 😊
@@peterlawlesssolosailing7189 Thanks Peter, that would be great, but only if you have time. Our baby stay and lower aft shrouds are pretty close to our inner forestay too so we might be able to give the running back stays a miss next season. Less rope in the cockpit can only be a good thing. Fair winds and following seas!! Ian
