Niomi, I have been reading your reactions to some of the comments here and I love how graceful you are. It feels like quiet confidence: not feeling the need to argue and be right but also not being apologetic about living your life in a way that feels right to you. I feel like that is something we all need.✨️

Dear Niomi, I am neither a fan nor a hater. I have been watching you on and off for 8-9 years. You have a bubbly, sweet and positive personality and this is a very likable trait of yours. I have seen the drama and the hate you get. 60% percent of it is just plain old negativity for anything and everything you do, but there is a percentage that is actually very constructive and in my opinion you should consider it. The thing is you avoid yo talk for deep matters that you actually have experience in like heartbreak. I assume you want to monetize your knowledge on this matter and capitalize from this. However, this is not what successful content creators usually do. What i mean by that is that you have to give something of deeper value, something you are good at, without monetary attachments, and then if people want to learn from you more then monetize it. You avoid talking for important events in your life and this makes your audience suspicious and detached. Another thing is that your newsletter is very pricey (especially in this economy, which shows that you are not relatable.. a basic salary in Greece is 800€/month, most people can't survive alone, let alone buy expensive newsletters and this a worldwide phenomenon) and you don't have any certificates etc so people can invest in you or even understand the price of your content. You have been inconsistent with your endeavours and in most jobs this is unprofessional. You are smart, you are fun, you are kind, but you have some privileges others don't, so you can't connect with your audience that well. I would suggest doing an analysis on your (real) demographic, and change route according to this. I wrote all this because i dont like this negativity (it's not normal and other youtubers dont get that much)and i feel that noone really has explained thoroughly what's up

Curious to know what Niomi thinks of this? Thank you for your constructive comment. Indeed we lost her for a long long long while.... she even blocked me for being honest and constructive like you but she blocked when in the past I could exchange with her... I am not sure about so many influencers, and I decided to stick to the very few I feel close to or/and inspired by... I am bored by the beauty content, etc... Therefore so pleased Niomi is herself again.

@@alexiawagner2514 I am curious too, but at the end of the day we have so different perspectives of life, depending on the circumstances we are dealing with. She may want to have a group of people that consists mostly of middle to upper class, or hippies/new age people or she may want to have a wide spectrum of audience. But both can't happen. In marketing the most important thing is to know your target group. For years, the target group of Niomi was very vague. In a way, everyone could fit. It was chill. Nowadays there is no specific direction, but in some moments there are very specific messages coming from her. And the change is drastical from what it used to be. I remember Niomi being an elegant posh woman, with healthy lifestyle concerns and content. And suddenly she becomes claire michelle ( american RU-vid girl with hippie/new age vibe, picked around 2016-2017, moved to Hawaii did all the woowoo stuff, their photos are literally the same from bali era niomi and hawaii era claire) and expects everyone to be positive and not be like "what?" Anyway, i only entertain this matter because i hate negativity for solvable matters and i think she doesn't get those stuff. I really do hope she and here team see those. I mean she has a MARKETING TEAM, i am one brain here without expertise and i can come up with suggestions

Parisian girl here. I wouldn't say that L'Eclair de Genie is a tourist trap per se. Sure if you had went for the plain croissant that would have not been the best choice since every decent boulangerie has amazing butter croissants that are cheaper. But for the eclairs this is the best place to go if you don't want a traditional one! + if you ever want company in a Parisian wine bar : you have subscribers here ;)

This was an amazing video, thank you for sharing your solo travel experience! 🤗 I completely agree that taking a solo trip is so, so special. I travel quite a bit on my own, but had never really had a true solo trip with the purpose to treat myself. A few years back I tried it for the first time - treated myself to a solo trip to Azores, Portugal and it was most magical.✨It's still one of my favourite travels🥰✈️ P.S. There is a museum in Mark Rothko's name here in Latvia that holds a lot of his artwork. It's really worth a visit

My family and I experienced London for the first time together in the fall of last year, and we took the Eurostar to Paris and spent four days in Paris. the difference between London’s fast paced busy widespread city compared to Paris, which seems so compact and intimate, and like a small town. Just a beautiful way to experience the city..

Traveling by train is such a nice way of transportation. I've traveled with the Eurostar a few times myself, but then from Amsterdam to London! I love being in London, and I'm always happy when I spot my first Pret A Manger :) I wish train journeys were cheaper though, especially as they are much better for the environment than planes. I hope that in a few years all of Europe will be accessible by fast and cheap trains! Love the video Niomi

Forgive me if I do not see anything romantic in Paris, it’s where I come from and for me it was the city of work work work and rain rain rain. But yes, the food is excellent and you are right to be careful, Paris is not safe even for Parisians, not only for women, and the neighborhood where your hotel was is not that safe, it’s a “be careful” area, especially at night. Regarding Rothko, each person can read a different thing in it, you put on his art what you want to see and what you project of yourself. Personally, as an occasional artist myself, all what I see is : how did he do that? The colors at the front are elements among many others underneath, so many layers of colors giving a floating feeling. What was his technique? What brush? What medium? Thick? Thin? Dry? Diluted? Varnished? Not varnished? I’m passionate about painting techniques, I could spend hours observing and trying to guess what he did. Same thing with Klee. Beside that you say that not everyone can come to Paris for a night to see an exhibition organized by the Vuitton Foundation (if it hadn’t been Louis Vuitton Foundation would have you come?) because people have kids and can’t always be available. But not only for that, not all people have the means to pay for that, and chiefly most people are working and are not available just like that when they want. I was wondering what is your job exactly? After months in Bali, two days in Paris and then you go skiing. Do you ever have to work at a point? Who can live like that unless you have a super trust fund to support you? I could go to exhibitions in Paris, and alone, when I was still living in Paris, but I was going on my days off, sometimes with my kids. Today, I don’t have the time to go anywhere because I have to work, I am not complaining, I am glad to be productive and useful to the community and society. I’m just trying to understand what is your job exactly? You stopped your line of products, so what is your activity? How do you do to be on vacation all the time?
@niomismart
@niomismart 7 месяцев назад
Thank you for sharing your experience - especially about the art work, that's fascinating hearing a differing perspective from an artist. Regarding the Louis Vuitton Foundation - I only found out the Rothko's were at this location because I was researching how and where I could view them in person, so yes I would've gone to visit the Rothko's regardless of the specific gallery. That wasn't relevant to me. I'm confused why this is even a question? I completely understand and respect your point about not all people being able to afford or take the time to visit Paris as I have. I feel grateful for my experiences every day. I do believe my message is about women feeling they can and should take themselves on dates in general - that could be to their local gallery or cinema, or their favourite restaurant. In answer to your extremely personal question about my financial situation - no I do not have a trust fund, I fund myself. It's sad that in todays day and age we still question young successful women. If I were a man taking a solo trip would you have asked the same question? I have been lucky enough to be hugely successful throughout my 20s and I have made some sensible and successful investments since I started earning my wealth in my early 20s - that's a decade ago. Yes, it has allowed me to travel to Bali. It also allows me to travel with friends. It allows me to hop on the Eurostar for a trip on my own for one night in Paris. And I am hugely proud of that achievement off my own back. I used to feel embarrassed about this and shy away from speaking about it - but now I feel proud that I can do that from my own finances rather than family or a partner. Not that there is anything wrong with that either by the way if that feels right for another person! My 30s have brought me a new found confidence and acceptance of self. So, I hope that answers your question.
@YayaBolender
@YayaBolender 7 месяцев назад
@@niomismart Yes it does answer my questions, and I would have asked the same thing if you were a man. Regarding Vuitton, I was asking because I was wondering if the foundation was somehow a sponsor of your trip or not. I am interested in how people manage to do it financially because I moved here to the US alone with my younger son a while ago and I know how hard it is to make it alone. A lot of sun here, sometimes rain and it is work work work also. I am sure that how you are making it financially could interest a lot of young viewers watching your channel. There is nothing magic never, it’s always a lot of work and efforts, the young generation should know that, to be aware of what to expect if they want to succeed too.

@@YayaBolender No I have no affiliation to the LV Foundation, I paid for my ticket online. Thank you for sharing your experience of moving abroad. It is tough doing it alone and making a living at the same time. I send you love on your journey ahead and trust things will become easier for you. Maybe I have just been incredibly lucky, or a case of right place right time, or my work paid off. Thank you for your suggestion about sharing more of my financial journey, I will consider it. Also I must say lastly that I disagree with your last point. There is magic all around us. I don't mean to sound insensitive. Believing and trusting in magic provides one of the greatest gifts in life.

@@niomismart I know what you are talking about regarding the magic, manifesting works at the condition of helping it to go to the right direction. I am in a good place now, but it was not easy boum! We’re in the same club! It’s not about exclusivity, but being on the path of opening ourselves up to the positive aspects of life, while being aware of the negative. Caring for ourselves gives us energy to care and be open to others as well. Artists have the talent of expanding themselves and expressing emotion and energy. If you’re open to that, you can absorb-enjoy, or identify enough, that if it’s very dark, you need to push it away. People are so interesting! Yes, to the Bolt prices! I’m American, and I downloaded Bolt when I went to Portugal. Then, I found it was in France, and several countries in Africa. Enjoy!

What a wonderful trip Niomi! 🇫🇷 You've inspired me to do something like this! I heard someone say once, when you go away with someone else you never take everything in, as you are talking and maybe a bit distracted. But whe you are alone you are taking everything in that you see and hear, the whole experience. The hotel and the restaurants looked wonderful. Did you buy the painting? It was beautiful! x 🌸 🌻

great job talking about women's safety. yes, it is such a shame that this subject even has to be addressed but it is reality

Idk if I'm just plain stupid or if where I live is actually safe but somehow I never worry about my safety when I'm walking around alone at night. For whatever reason it just never even crosses my mind.

Where do you live ? I want to live there 😊 ....in my country we think about it by second nature , in the day, at night , when with people , when alone . We always worry about safety.

Niomi, please help a girl out. Watching your video I got really inspired, thank you for that. I will be visiting London in May, but I thought that Uber taxi’s are forbidden in London. What app should I use for a reliable en safe taxi? Keep up the vibes giving in this video! Love it!
