The way the guy lied about the reason he couldn’t change the oil is definitely proof it wasn’t a good or real reason not to. If there was a legitimate reason there would be no reason to lie.

Jiffy Lube guy could have physically changed your oil without putting you "in the system" on their computer. SMH! Stay warm you two! Blue is looking healthy, so good to see him happy and active. I'm way too chicken to be in Alaska in the cold with 4 hrs of sunlight. I'm watching from Georgia while sipping my hot coffee.

Was visiting Alaska North Pole last July. Santa and Mrs. Claus sent a lovely message to my boys at home. It was super sweet and nice of them!

Love the rug and blanket for blue. Maybe it would be good to get Blue some booties for his feet to protect against the cold and sharp objects. Anyway's I dig the car decor also. Safe travels!

FYI. The motor in that truck was originally designed to be a marine diesel motor. So that means they were built to run non stop for hours and sometimes days. If you get in a situation where it is very very cold and you need heat. You can fire up the truck and let it run all night with the heat on. Just make sure you idle it up slightly like 100 rpm.

I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. It is a tradition. Before my parents passed away me and all our siblings there wife's and grandchildren all crammed into a small house, but we had so much fun bring up old memories. My mom was an amazing woman who loved our family. She had dementia and couldn't decorate by herself, so all the woman pitched in. I am going to cry. I miss them so much.😢. Hoping you and Blue have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hi. A 12 volt electric blanket uses far less power than a standard electric blanket does and solar generators are all rated for use in cold conditions. Some will stop working in cold conditions and there are other generators that will work in colder conditions than that jackery. Your paying for the name. There are better and more reliable generators than can work in colder conditions. Always check the working temps when purchasing a generator. Some are only rated to work down to freezing temperatures while some will work below freezing. Hope this help ya! Good luck.

Hi there, in cold climates you should be running 0-40 or at least a 5-40 synthetic oil. It will help with cold starting, and there will be less initial engine wear on cold start ups. FYI. Gary from AB Canada.

Ria.. if allowed, a suggestion or three. See if you can get in contact with Luke who runs the @OutdoorBoys channel. He lives in Alaska and does many winter camping videos. Who knows, he could have ideas for keeping Poe warmer... or maybe he can get you to camp in a snow cave!!! 😂 From watching his content, he has these down camping booties to sleep in that keep his feet happy!!! I think they come from Western Mountaineering. Wiggys is also another company that makes camp sleeping booties. Both companies also make sub-zero sleeping bags and other clothing. I'd suggest like others have mentioned in adding some additional insulation to the sides of the popup, like the foil-lined bubble wrap insulation you can get for hot water heaters. It will keep more heat in and the additional layer will help with the freezing condensation on the inside. Besides a engine block heater.... see if you can find an electrical, magnetic contact heater. When I had a diesel fueled vehicle in -20F winter temps, it would help keep the tank warm in the middle of the night giving additional protection against the fuel gelling.

Question about the rtt...would it be warmer to sleep with the tent down and sleep on the bench? Do you lose a lot of heat through the sides of the tent since its not hard sided? And do you think Blue needs little boots for his feet since theres more ice and it being so cold? He looks like he is doing good with the treatment ❤ give him big kisses and take care of yourself as well!

Sounded like they may have been too busy or he’s gotta leave to do something and didn’t have time, but he’s socially awkward and didn’t know how to say that he’s sorry he can’t and instead tried to tell a white lie that he couldn’t then when you showed him the oil filter he panicked 😂

I used to live in North Pole Alaska for 5 years. It would get to -30 and worst case scenario -60. We were advised to always fill up our tanks when it got down to half way for safe measure. I had to winterize my vehicle because of the extreme cold of Alaska. Block heater with a plug to connect it to an outet because I did not have a garage. Also, incase you didn't know this, when it gets cold you always have to touch metal prior to filling your gas tank because there is alot of static electricity in the air that can ignite when gasing your truck. Hope you safe travels and I always enjoy when you upload a new video. I want to make sure you are prepared for this harsh weather.

Funny how I have thought for years there is no one around just like me. Well, I thought wrong after watching this video when it comes to the Holidays, I literally drive my family bunkers with some of the out laddish ideas I come up with when it comes to decorating to show my Christmas Spirit etc. It's great to see blue almost back to himself and getting a second chance on life... I decorated all my 4x4's every year and have gone as far as decorated a tree in the woods for the animals to enjoys. Call it weird but it seemed fine, and the tree looked awesome at night powered by a small solar cell. All thanks to you, Blue & poe for another great video.
