I've done this. But it wasn't for fun or travel. It was because my college roomie bailed a month into the semester and I couldn't afford the apartment on my own. So I moved into my car for the rest of the semester. I had an old car, backseat big enough to stretch out and sleep. Showered at the gym, did my studying in the library, hung out in the student center to get out of the car.

I follow a lot of RU-vidr nomads with pets, but you are the one I worry about the most. Your connection with Blue is so deep and it's obvious how much you adore him. That old saying is true: Dogs give us MANY of the best days of our lives and ONE of the worst days of our lives. It's particularly difficult when our dogs (or other pets) are suffering from something serious. I'm not sure who decided that dogs don't have life spans like humans ... but it SUCKS!!! I'm sending all the best energy to you and Blue and hoping the treatment is going well and h responds so you can get on with your life together the way you want to ... XXX

Since I found out about Blue..I have been checking on any updates..hoping that he is doing well ..I know how it is..I lost my little girl Tootsie 2 years ago to cancer..she was a mix terrier and had her for 10 years. She lasted 4 months after the diagnosis. Hang in there!! Praying 🙏.

Tip for closing the Dometic- just push the latch in so it locks. Much easier than trying to push down on the lid.

Make a poltice of baking soda and water to make thick paste to draw out the place you got stung. Take a Benadryl too.

Quick relief for the bee sting is to chew and add saliva to tobacco from a cigarette, making a poultice and applying it to the sting. This gives immediate relief and is an old fashion treatment by farmers.

For insect stings (we have a LOT of yellowjackets where I live) it's good to carry a little bottle of ammonia (a pill bottle would probably be good - easily accessible and keep it in the cup holder or ashtray of your rig where you can get to it immediately) ..... RIGHT after you get stung apply some (I just stick my finger in and dot it on the sting) to the sting. When I catch it right away it never swells up, there's little or no pain and you barely remember you got stung. Oh --- and those are the most beautiful, jammy eggs I've ever seen!!!

Keep an eye out for snakes especially before your coffee. I woke up next to a rattler at my feet outside my sleeping bag on the US 395 corridor at an idyllic riparian zone at 6.000 feet. Saw a dozen more that day.
