Another cracking video. In terms of boots, I recently bought some Asolo Greenwood Evo Goretex. Used them in the lakes over winter (even though they’re not a full winter boot). Walking in 2ft snow and through some fast flowing rivers and streams. I highly recommend them. Feels more like wearing a slightly chunky pair of trainers. Solid but flexible soles.

Cheers Harry, glad you enjoyed the video 😁 thanks for the boot recommendation, I'll definitely have a look at them, as I'm getting older comfort is definitely a priority 🤣 thanks for watching and commenting, it's really appreciated, atb Paul 🙏 🏕 🏕🏕😁

17 year old boots?! Holy moly 😂 If you're wanting to improve your experience.......trail runners. Ignore any concerns you may have. It'll be the best transition you ever make..... especially for the fairer weather. Maybe get the big leather units for winter 😊 We all drop navigational bolloc*s tbf mate so wouldn't worry to much about that. I came down wetherlam on my backside in the snow for similar reasons 😂 Stay safe and well, Adge

I know, and they have had some hammer too 🤣 I'm definitely looking at trail runners for the summer months, and some good, sturdy leather boots for winter 👌 it's not often I drop a bollo*k but definitely did on this occasion, 100% my fault for being too complacent whilst route planning....lesson learned 😀 catch you soon matey, atb Paul 🙏🏕🏕🏕😁

Great video Paul! I need a new pair of boots too.... managed to leave one of my boots in car park in Patterdale on Saturday.....doh!! Realised when i got home but a bit too far to drive back from Liverpool. They were Grisport....very good and cheap....full leather my preference too...

Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it 😀 not good leaving something behind 😢 yeah I won't have anything other than full leather, they are absolutely bomb proof 😀 as always thanks for watching and commenting, it's really appreciated, atb Paul 🙏 🏕 🏕🏕😁

Hi Paul, another belter of a video. Stunning views and a fantastic pitch. As far as the boots go, I love my Altberg Mallerstangs, plenty of scope for fitting as they come in half sizes and 5 different width fittings. Definitely worth a visit to Richmond to the factory and get fitted up. Had mine for around 8 years and still going strong. Altberg also offer a re-soling service. Like any leather boot, they’re quite heavy. 👍

Cheers Peter, glad you enjoyed it 😀 it was a banging pitch with awesome views 😀 Altbergs are definitely on my to look at list, and I always get my boots fitted to guarantee comfort, I don't mind putting up with heavy boots if they are bombproof 😁 atb Paul 🙏 🏕 🏕🏕😁

Got to recomend Hanwag Boots from the Keswick Boot Co........Pay the extra, its like walking with fuzzy felt on your feet and they have never let a drop of water in!

Hey Paul, do you have the solid mesh interior for the scarp or do you find the all mesh to be suitable for most of the year ? Thanks
@ACumbrianladoutdoors
@ACumbrianladoutdoors 4 месяца назад
Hey Craig, that's a very good question, I don't have the solid mesh interior for the scarp, and although I use it all year round I definitely made a mistake not getting it, the solid interior makes a massive difference with the wind getting through the tent thus making it a lot warmer in winter. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, it's really appreciated, atb Paul 🙏 🏕 🏕🏕😁
