What is that device you lit your gas stove with? Is it a fuel lighter or does it just make a spark?

I have a 3 cup Moka pot and it's stainless so no nasty Aluminium. I can use it on any cooker inc. induction. It's the home Espresso shot maker.

A bit of practice and testing in the back yard during inclement weather would sure open up a world of great adventures for people. Learn your skills, and gear, and there's such a feeling of satisfaction and self confidence of being in a shelter you put up, enjoying the sights and sounds of the weather, while being dry and comfortable. Looks like a great trip, and it really is hard to beat bush cooked meals. Cheers!

I just got my first coffee I hope you and yours had a happy and safe new year coffee pen and paper notebook I take notes and the only thing missing are the beautiful locations you go to. We talked about adding protein to soup without using refrigeration and I suggested using jerky meats. Good to see you fix dinner that way and enjoy it so much. You pack your pack like I do. I stuff my hammock and sleeping bag (I don't use over/under quilts) into the bottom of my pack, BUT I use a plastic bag in the bottom to make sure that my sleeping gear is kept dry on the trail. To minimize volume, I squeeze the air out of the plastic bag and twist the top, tucking it between the bag and interior of the pack. I think that compression sacks can damage gear, so I use oversized storage bags for my other things and press down hard on the contents of the pack before securing the roll-down closure. I do long multi-day hikes and pack as light as I can, so I use a frameless pack lined with a closed cell foam pad for situations where I might choose to sleep on the ground. Thanks again!

We are under winter storm warning it was bad early morning had Dr appt but they had 2 hour delay with a skeleton crew if you got there early you filled out paperwork and waited to be called tonight temp going down to 27 what they saying

I'm sub'd now! This is my kind of content, hammock camping and good eating! 😁 Beef jerky definitly takes ramen a level up! It's basically dehydrated beef, just add water 👍 Awesome!

Great video again👍👍 especially with that nasty weather, all rainy, damp and moist. A couple more of those and I finally might get my lazy bumm out there... 😂 For extra soup flavor you might want to fry the mushrooms first, then add the onions and garlic and once fried up (to your liking) proceed with adding water and all the rest and boil the soup from there. Same ingredients, much more flavor 😋👍🤘

Amen on that soup! Nothing beats the cold like hot soup and your veggies are a perfect selection. I am addicted to shrimp (and other seafoods) so I add them to my stews, soups, ramen with a sprinkle of red hot peppers. Talk about sweating! The broth is super delicious, too. I love to experiment with different cuisines on my overland camping trips and then devise a recipe on a smaller scale for backpacking. Food, coffee and adult beverages outdoors takes on a whole new experience as your taste buds seem to "open up"...going on a long hike today and can't wait to make my dinner of steak, shrimp with grilled asparagus. Love your adventures especially during this bulls##t we're going through.

Very Cool Yesterday I was outside for a short time. Making firewood we have thick snow and that is again 10% heavier. Wet and cold but that is part of it, but it is also difficult to light a fire, mine kept going out. Do you have a tip to light a fire in snow?
