Here's my very first camping trip with my NEWLY built Drawer System + New Tri Fold Mattress in my GX470 SUV! I spent a night in Alabama Hills (Lone Pine, CA) after the huge SoCal Blizzard hit. Alabama Hills is by far one of the best spots for dispersed camping! This is probably one of the craziest winters we seen in California. To add a little twist my car keys SNAPPED OFF white I was SUV camping with ZERO cell reception. This one is definitely going in the books of one of my favorite winter camping experiences.

The classic Lexus keyfob snap. Happened to me and my daughter leaving a restaurant. Was freaking out until I realized I had to put the sensor up to it to start. Got another from Amazon

Yea I think you will be okay. The snow on the trails (2/3 of the main trail) should be melted by now. I'm not sure about the last 1/3 of the trail. If you're trying to finish the trail you can just drive up n if there's too much snow just turn around. All the nice camp spots are on the first 1/3 of the trail.
