Good video, but can you do it on versus since it gives much more money from waves and borderlands to see the towers full potential, it also gives expensive towers a bit of a good placement on the list, but for now, patrol is the best.
Should've done this all on the same map because of unfair results.. ALSO DON'T SAY PATROL IS THE BEST TOWER THEN SAY NOT TO ARGUE!!! FIRST tell me what BOSS RUSHES that patrol can COUNTER!! (spoiler alert: NOTHING!) THEN look at how bad the value is! The math says so! - Level 1 has 0.66 DPS for $400, then Level 2 has 1.56 DPS for $780.. - The low DPS is absolutely horrible! Other towers like Level 1GOlden Scout (3.6 DPS for $690) or Enforcer Level 2 (8 DPS for $730) have more DPS for cheaper price! - You can argue that it has map wide range, but having more range SUCKS when it comes to countering senders! Raw DPS is more important! - But let's say you really want range? Just use Marksman.. duh? It has $725 for 2 DPS (already more dps, cheaper price than lvl 2 patrol AND covers most of the map) - But marksman level 1 and level 2 actually suck, so just check out marksman level 3, it has HD, 7.1 DPS for $1890, even MORE RANGE and DPS and COST EFFICIENCY - And also Level 4 patrol isn't any better as well! It only has 2 ram DPS! But the turret may have 15 DPS but this is not consistent and can only shoot for short moments before dying due to being a moving tower with very little range! - and max patrol must be very trash.. while towers like max marksman dealing 50 dps we have MAX PATROL dealing a whopping 18 collision DPS.. and 23 turret/cannon dps.. if you added those two up you get 41 DPS, that is nowhere close to marks! - And don't forget how the tiny range means it won't be dealing 41 dps most of the time at all! so really the only consistent dps is the 18 collision dps. And don't forgot it doesnt even have hidden - Max Marksman ($11k) only costs 2k more than a Max Patrol ($9k), and it has HD, even MORE map wide range, 52.5 DPS (much higher than patrol) AND it is CONSISTENTLY DEALING that DPS - Patrol turret and cannon wont be able to fire 100% of the TIME so it is foolish to think its turret DPS will amount to anything MEANINGFUL!
Surprisingly mortar is actually the candidate for the best spot and heres why - this is without farms or support obviously - You need to play it right an make sure your on a map with multiple cliff spots and a long path - if you manage to max one, boom, you’re on the track to wave 39 - You can actually make it to wave 40 which is insane but you’ll die almost immediately after to the void since you are not fit for single target
you have to stack barracks so the troops of both towers spawn at the same time, barracks also work best on borderlands by far because of the long track length and abundance of curves.
if you had done the towers on borderlands, most of the starter ones (which can see hiddens) actually make it to at least wave 30 without farms or supports
Great video, but there is a flaw i just wanna mention The problem here is that you did all of them on different maps instead of the same one, which is a problem cause on the longer maps (like Borderlands or Midnight Road) You are able to survive a few waves and get a Commando placed due to the long track however on shorter maps you wouldn't get enough to afford it and die on wave 6 (you would still die if its only Railgunner, even if you can afford it which also applys to the other towers that cost more than Commando) It wouldve been more fair to the other towers if you did all of them on the same map so they actually stand a chance, other than that good video.
You failed with enforcer because you didn't get a singular one to Level 4, you instead upgraded them all procedurally which caused you to let the bosses leak.
Late comment but yeah, for a few towers I noticed that you didn’t use the optimal startegy for them. Not to mention how you played on different maps for each tower, so some towers got a disadvantage from the start.
It would be cool if you used the same map for all the towers, you may be able to afford some of the more expensive ones on borderlands (i dont know for sure)
Because I don't have GC, when I solo I use patrols early and mid game, occasionally using them end game. Not once have patrols failed me, they always hold their ground. I swear they are on some thing bc how OP they are.
patrols suck ass lvls 1 and 2. Only level 3 and 4 are semi decent and at max it starts sucking again. You could farm alot more if you use enforcer or mortar for early game in solo
Yeah I've learned how to solo triumph now and patrols only work early game but I don't use them often. Instead I go for either a plasma trooper/ mercenary + farming and that seems to help me get a zed down by wave 18-21, then by end game I have either phasers or railgunners to fill the 19 spare slots (5 zeds and 1 commander). I've been playing for a while in general, but I mostly played in co-op with my friend and I haven't really bothered with doing versus up until now.@@julktor9474
You should do this on borderlands for every tower. This was inaccurate because you could have gotten railgunner if there a longer map and all towers would perform at their highest potiental. Great video besides that!
just found out abt this channel, your channel is so underrated you need more subcribers, and tbh Tower battles is better than tds IF ANY OF YOU WILL ARGUE AND TELL ME *you didnt even played Tds*, GUESS WHAT im level 328 so keep your mouth shut, what i want to say its just that Tb updates are original, they do a great work abt the game, tds is just to repetitive, you dont even need someone to carry you at fallen, you can just make money for ranger and that it, tb was the best game back in his days i hope the game will get back and also you won a new subscriber, keep up the good work! (sorry for grammar mistakes)
next time you should do it all on the same map so for some reason, your favorite towers dont get the long maps. data is not accurate as all towers were on maps of various lengths and shapes. also some towers you decided to just upgrade them until max before placing another, which is also not a great way to do things. try placing things the same way next time.
gc is the best tower, you would've got a farm and a tower for early defense and if you got enough to place it, sell the early Defense. Work smarter, not harder.
