This is just ridiculous. I mean, sure, it's an attempt to tell a story, but come one. "All men are equal and none are slaves", where does it say that in the Bible? The Bible doesn't condemn slavery. This is just infusing Biblical stories with modern-day values. Slavery isn't condemned in any religious literature. It is addressed first in the Islamic scriptures, but it's never condemned by the Buddha, or in the Vedas, nor is it condemned by the Jesus of the NT, and it's certainly not condemned in the Tanakh. Slavery was part of how the old world worked. It's only addressed in the West once the industrial revolution takes place. It wasn't abolished because all of a sudden people became morally enlightened.. And why is the Queen of the kingdom of Sheba a white woman? According to many, Sheba was located in the Horn of Africa, but it's most likely a southern Arabian kingdom, in what is now known as Yemen. Some connect her to South-East Asia, which probably has to do with trade routes that were used by the merchants of Sheba, but it's pretty obvious to me that the kingdom was located in South-West Arabia and along the coasts of the Horn. And so the Queen therefor was probably dark-skinned. I have no problem with that, but this then becomes rather ironic in light of the claim that the Bible teaches that all men are equal. Why not let a black woman play the role of Sheba's Queen? Then when the monarchs are consulting with the pharaoh, it's the evil Arab looking dude who says that they will drive Israel into the sea. That's a bit on the nose, isn't it? That's clearly commenting on the conflict between the Zionists and the Arabs. Rather shameless and not very subtle. Perhaps this is in some way why these movies were made back then: entertainment and profits, but also propaganda against the Palestinian cause and an attempt to rally the good Christians of the West behind the state of Israel. And why is Sheba portrayed as a cunning deceiver? Where did they get the idea from that she consulted and conspired with other rulers to go to Jerusalem and infiltrate the King's court? Is that in the Bible? If so, then I've missed that part. Isn't it an injustice to portray her like that? Especially when the King of Jerusalem took a liking to her. After all, he is a prophet of God: peace and blessings upon Sulayman. In fact, when I compare the Biblical story to the Quranic narrative, then they're very different. The Bible really portrays this as a date between two extravagant monarchs. Most of the text deals with how much gold was given. Seriously, if you extract all the verses that describe golden items, you end up with a paragraph the same size as the one you're looking at right now. The story itself doesn't seem to have much of a message. Solomon isn't calling her to the belief in One God. They're literally just dating. Where's the call to faith? It isn't there. And yet, he's a prophet of God. Compared to the Qur'an, it's a very different story. Here, they make it about theological differences, but that's just inserted by the writers of the movie. As I said, this film doesn't really seem very accurate at all.
Guys, let’s not argue over races, and allow political and ethnic beliefs to cloud our true understanding. There is only one race, and that’s the human race. One nation under God.
@@blueorangeade712 The are we now call Yemen most assuredly existed, and there is considerable evidence that this was where the Queen of Sheba was actually from.
Well, perhaps it would be better to bing it up with the people in Hollywood who made the movie. Movies are a business and they had to consider the market.Stars bring in the money.
Queen of sheba is from Ethiopia.... Yemen was once under the colony of Axum (Ethiopian). No matter how it hurts you.... Truth is thruth. She is black african.
@@mikidias you should read more about Ethiopian history. The souther part of arbian were under the colony of the axumite.... There is still cultural influence on the southern part. There are a lot of facts both scientific and religious which tells the relationship between Ethiopia and Israel. This really makes me laugh 😂 🤣 In fact, by the opposite... They ruled over and controlled many parts of that region instead due to its specific nature (natural resources) and special strategic geographical location in which is (always been, always have been for thousands of years) an important trade route, especially or especifically between Africa and East Asia (that is and was one of the main reasons for its power and wealth) 2, Al - Malikah Balqis 👸 👑 herself was Arab ‼️ She was an Arab woman, NOT African, as you guys claim all the time... Arab people are genetically Semitic people, NOT African Black!!! 😒 So, Plz, stop lying ❗⛔ 🛑 I hate liers 🤥 3, and last..... Their son Menelik was not the first king of anything or anyone, because the previous kingship before Malikah Balqis was precisely made by her belated father, the previous King!!
