I think it’s cool how Punk returned in the same building where he had that classic match against John Cena at Money in the Bank 2011. Nice full circle moment there.
Sad things is always part timers give more opportunities then young talent la Knight and Cody not going get good push and don't forget Budget cut is also going happen 2024 cause of part timers people not seen that too people 2024 is going messy
Can't blame anyone and Orton is my goat. Even if it was Rock that returned, Punk's return would still overshadow Rocks due to the circumstances of the situation
I think thats the issue. They use him for laughs. He'll never be used for more than that. He could be put in a mid card tag team or something meaningful but no.@@rayroc480
Yeah, Randy Orton looked great. Yes, CM Punk came back. However, where is the talk about the biggest return at Survivor Series? The best spokesperson for Ruffles himself: R-TRUTH!
Damian told Drew: "Follow my plan." And they lost, it's a work because another fan video caught a cameraman telling Drew where to go during that "anger" while he left the ring.
Yeah the moment the Elite resigned with AEW, that's when Punk went for the kill. That clearly showed Punk doesn't be in AEW anymore. Even though TK gave him the keys to the kingdom, Punk still wanted out of AEW. He gave up trying to help the younger talents because they don't want to listen to his advice. He doesn't like the structure. It's mismanaged. He couldn't take it anymore. Punk knew TK won't let him go. So what did Punk do? He went to an extreme length to intentionally get himself fired by having another fight with Jack Perry at All In.
punk proudly demanded for decades, "I DON'T NEED ANYBODY TELLING ME HOW TO CONSTRUCT MY MATCH!!! YOU SO-CALLED VETERANS ARE JUST TRYING TO HOLD ME BACK!!!"... i wonder why nobody wanted to sit under HIS learning tree.
CM Punk and Randy Orton both returning on the same night was legendary. You don't get 2 huge returns like that on the same show very often. The next few months until Wrestlemania are gonna be fun.
@@nunyafuckinbizniz Truth is awesome! Can't hate on a guy with over 60 championship victories. Nothing you say will change the fact he has more title wins than your beloved CM Karen.

@@Mortallica03 I don't think Punk ever gave a flying you-know-what about AEW and helping grow it. A'lot of people forget about how he publicly blasted Cody and the Young Bucks simply because they texted him about the prospect of potentially talking business one day. This clown felt he deserved a phone call. That should have been red flag #1 for everyone.
I know Rollins has had heat with Punk in the past, but I think Rollins cussing out Punk at the end of the PPV is part of a potential angle for the two of them to have a feud. I think the rest of the guys in WWE who don't like Punk will be professional enough to work with him if told to, question is will Punk be able to do the same. People are claiming that he's changed but I question how much somebody can change in the short time of Punk leaving AEW for WWE.
I think Punk will do fine. He doesn't have to answer to Vince and he isn't the "authority" figure he was in AEW. He just has to show up, do his job and cash his checks. Triple H now being retired only has to focus on the talent's stories, not his own. I think it'll work out fine.
@@Lord_BibulousI think Punk suffered from main event paranoia in AEW. He acted out because there was way too much pressure on him. We can't know for sure but it has been something other wrestlers have felt in the past
Considering WWE is actually ran by professional adults who won't let conflicts escalate or let people try and sabotage each other, I don't think Punk will have a problem.
Seth and punk both have done everything except mania event mania (even though Seth technically has) so it’s very fitting they would both check that off together
No it isn't, plus that's Hogan who had already headlined a gazillion before that lmaooo. Main events Night 1 Seth vs Punk Night 2 Roman vs Cody Poster has all 4 men equally
@@NoHiro-qc4dv Don't get me wrong punk has some fault in him getting fired by AEW however he is not the sole reason the so-called "EVPs" and their friends who are a bunch of immature children and their behavior towards Punk also have a part to his firing. There are two sides to every story. Also Tony has some blame for letting it get as far as it did. I'm glad he finally grew a pair and fired him but it shouldn't have taken as long as it did.
You cannot be picking fist fights with people every time they say something you don’t work. Especially when you take shots at others CONSTANTLY!! Imo acted like a whiny child.
You know he’s gonna absolutely roast Tony, “Jungle Jack”, “The Buckaroos”, “Twinkle Toes”, and “Hangnail” lol I don’t even hate AEW but that podcast will be legendary
@@NATENIGHT23y'all really wanna see Cody lose again don't ya? As of Wrestlemania it will only be around 4 months before Roman passes Hogan, he isn't losing until WM41 search your feelings you know it's true
@@Shadowjester1985Personally, I don't think so. But, since he's there and he seemed pretty happy, haitch probably promised him that or something along those lines..
I haven't cared for Punk since he attempted and failed miserably to be an MMA fighter but if he moves the needle, he moves the needle and that's a GOOD thing. I just want him to realize that he's 45 years old, not 25. This means he needs to act like the industry leader that his age and experience dictates. So if Punk does anything even remotely resembling what he did in AEW, he needs to be blacklisted immediately.
I wonder how hes going to stack up in the ring. I mean Rollins just so ahead of him as far as in ring ability. Most just are.Age catches up with people. The matches with Samoa Joe.Joe had to really hold back and lower his stuff to go with Phil. On the mic,ya Punk is an attention getter. You really think he can go toe to toe with Drew or Roman? I just don't see it.
It was nice to see the return of The Best in the World. The Voice of the Voiceless. The Apex Predator. The Viper..... *R-TRUTH* NOW, DO THE RUFFLE SHUFFLE!
Solo is the best imo. He’s rational, fair, calls nonsense when he sees it, praises when it’s earned, is a long time fan but not jaded. He’s one of the few to call out Tony Kahn, the Elite and Punk for their hand in the backstage drama. People like Cornette only blame the elite and Tony. Other people only blame punk. Solo is consistent and has integrity.
@@bb-gc2tx I literally don't watch aew. I watched the first six episodes and never turned back after I stopped watching... nor do I watch aew content on wrestling podcasts.
There is also a clip of Randy Orton sitting in a chair in the ring doing the watch to the ear that Punk does. Then Punk waves and does Randy's pose. LMAO
@@146zigzag3 you smarks know him personally i guess 🤣 aew is imploding they had 225 k watch rampage last week they are a glorified indie promotion at this point run by a man child money mark 🤣
Been watchin his return on replay all day... the surprise, the energy, the fact that i always said he would come back at that night, everyone went against us believers... the fact that no one believed he would ever come back because of his reputation wit WWE, how he had talked all this sh!t about WWE and how he said he would never step foot there again, the fact that all media outlets confirmed that he hadnt signed a contract or came to an agreement, how all the haters said he would never come back to WWE, how everyone said he wouldnt fit in, how they said there would be no way they would overlap a Punk return on top of the randy orton return, how they ended in bad terms 10 years ago, how not even any leak sources knew, how the WWE said they would never hire him again, how the show almost ended in dissapointing all of us that he wouldnt show up, until the last second before going off the air after the trademark on the screen.. A perfect spot in Hometown Chicago. The disruptor of peace, the wrench that we all needed to switch things up, is here‼️ this is why this is a big deal... his appearance stole the whole show without doing or saying anything... that is the power of stardom and absence after being away for 10 years. Its surreal. Show up, Fk sh!t up wit a look and leave. Live rent free in the minds of all of us, and nobody at WWE even knew. How one man can break the internet, have the whole world buzzing and make a whole arena go crazy! How he can turn non believers into devoted fans. Brilliant. The whole thing is wild
I think the guy could get let go for a reason thats his own fault.Another incident could happen and they will still chant his name. Its just how it is.
Just proved Punk was always full of shit. He just said what fans wanted to hear. Will be interesting how they book him considering you can’t really book him is an anti authority for the people character when he literally has dirty knees and brown all over his nose and most likely a very sore jaw.
@@Shadowjester1985 not to mention spending 7 years just shitting on WWE and the entire wrestling business. Everyone is really quick to forget that he spent a good chunk of his exile complaining about WWE, burying the entire industry, and shitting on the fanbase.
@@michaeltisei775 oh, Punk has always been a complete hypocrite suffering from his own strain of Ultimate Warrior syndrome. I appreciate him as a performer and as a wrestler. But, my god, he's really been exposing himself a'lot the last few years. That podcast with Colt Cabana has not aged well at all and really brings into question a'lot of Punk's accusations against WWE.
Triple H: He changed! 4 months ago; Getting in backstage fights, attacking his boss, booking/hiring his friends and removing wrestlers and EVP´s from his show on Saturdays LOL
I think the Seth stuff is a bit of a work and a shoot, I’m sure he knew and had time to cook up a reaction, but also I wouldn’t be shocked if that was some real emotion in there😂😂 I think it’s obviously a work and leading to a program between them, but I also think that’s how Seth really felt in a way😂😂
@@Bossbabydaddyexactly, they are clearly gonna work a program together, and besides even if this is somewhat how Seth really feels about Punk, that’ll just make me people wanna see them work together more
the fans wanted punk . triple h has made the best decision but i dont think he didnt tell anyone . seth rollins teased his return himself . seths reaction is a work obviously
Tony had to create Collision and have Punk run it because he refuses to keep his EVP’s/the Elite in check and wants to be friends with everyone. It’s embarrassing and any assertion that Punk was the problem during his run in AEW is laughable
If you're a Punk fan, good for you. I'm happy you got him back. Personally I feel like he has no integrity and stands for nothing. I'm glad he isn't in AEW anymore but this is the same person that was still whining about WWE a year ago and tried to get back in with them while still working for another company. I wouldn't be surprised if he deliberately tried to get fired just to get there sooner. For all the words he says it seems like they actually hold very little. If he shows up on Raw talking about how he couldn't wait to come back and he always loved it here, I'll laugh.
CM Punk isn't CM Punk anymore. He's old and injury prone and once this honeymoon period is over he will be exposed as someone who can't pull his weight in the ring.
I feel why some wrestlers dislike Punk for no reason other than he naturally takes the spotlight... a lot of people dont like me for no reason even if they dont know me... i feel you punk... theres no reason for Seth and others to dislike him... that hate is crazy
Dude you never seen two people who don't get along? We don't hang out with these wrestlers 24/7, god knows what happens and I'm sure there are A LOT of wrestlers who don't get along, it's not for "no reason", people don't get along all the time it's not that complicated.
I hear Solomonster about how the locker room might react to throwing Punk into a WrestleMania main event, but they’ve done it before with big names who weren’t around for years, with the Rock being the most obvious one. It’s been almost 10 years since he’s been in WWE, but he has at least been in the wrestling circle for the last few. I’m also not sure it can be avoided given the timing, how big a name Punk is, and how he’s made it very well known to all its a goal of his.
I can’t believe that many people in WWE have their panties in a bunch over Punk being back. Like going as far as saying Triple H could lose their trust is just ridiculous. Punk hasn’t even done anything & he’s already being blamed for things
I'm taking a wait and see approach with Punk. I was so burned out from Punk after last year. Made me lose a lot of respect for him. If he lasts longer than his AEW run or at least has a better send-off, then that's more props to Triple H than Punk himself. And if shit hits the fan again and things turn sour, I don't wanna hear ANY excuses for why things went south. REALLY hoping things turn out for the better this time.
So Punk literally CANNOT win with you then? Because that’s what this sounds like. Also, by admitting you won’t give Punk any credit regardless of how it goes, you are NOT taking a “wait and see” approach. It’s more of a “fuck this guy regardless of how things turn out” approach. If that’s how you feel, I think you’re being more than a little silly, but that’s your right. But just say that, don’t pretend you’re unbiased in any way whatsoever.
@jerodgraham6623 you just made up an entire narrative about a comment you clearly didn't read. Punk is narcissistic prick who absolutely made everything about himself in AEW. The main dude who commented said he hopes it turns out better. If it doesn't which I doubt Punk doesn't showcase once again he's a narcissistic prick than people shouldn't make excuses for him like his psychotic fan base did and does when he went psycho mode in AEW which got him fired. Next time hop off the Punk stick and read the comment before you reply.
I think that, too. It's leading to Something with Priest, as McIntyre starring a hole into Priest, who tells him to follow the plan, only to loose again. Could lead into a Priest face turn
Cm Punk and Randy Orton looked great. 1. I hope Jack Perry isn't the Devil 2. I know AEW fumbled the bag with Cm Punk 3. Tony Khnan needs to make better decisions and he might be cryng somewhere after survivor series
Jack Perry is definitely going to be the Devil now. Tony is absolutely that reactionary and thin-skinned to make that happen. And the amount of go away/channel changing heat that is going to generate will be hysterical.
I never thought I'd see the day of HHH and Punk being able to coexist in the same picture together and HHH dropping whatever pride he had to do the unthinkable. That being said, how long will this last I ask you before contriversay comes knocking again? Punk has more burnt bridges in WWE that are already starting to burn again which makes what you elaborated on it being his last chance giving people something to think about because I'm betting Tony Khan is secretly hoping he gets the last laugh even though he was the one who set all this into motion.
My issue is this seemingly will interfere with Gunther going forward. Prior to Punk I think Gunther was the favorite to win the rumble and challenge Rollins.
I'm happy he got a huge pay day and WWE should do even better business with him back. For me personally and all the shit he pulled the last year or so...I don't really care he's back lol.
I know Stone Cold came back for one match only last year, but now with Punk back, I would love to see Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. CM Punk at Wrestlemania, they would tear the whole house down, it was a dream match a lot of people wanted to see, but I doubt Austin would come back for one more.
It would be hilarious if all these years later, someone pulls a Punk and walks out because theyre fed up and had their Wrestlemania spot taken by some old part timer coming back... ;)
Ain't CM Punk the same guy who told MJF that if he went to WWE and would be "Headlining Night 4 of the Buy 1 Get 1 Extravaganza". Now, it looks like he is Headlining the Buy 1 Get 1 Extravaganza! How ironic!
There are so many takes I’ve heard on Punk’s return that are founded on shock and bewilderment. To quote Jim Cornette when Dave Meltzer broke that talks bt Punk and WWE started for Survivor Series, “What did anybody else think was going to happen?”
A survivor Series Traditional Tag Team Elimination match would be awesome to see again at Survivor Series and if they're going to keep running a War Games Match at SS keep at 1 just hope it doesn't get watered down like Elimination Chamber and Hell In A Cell did.
Surprised a bit, but not shocked. Bruno, Warrior. So many others have come back. I've always liked Punk. Obviously when you speak your truth, some people may get sideways. Too bad. I really do hope this works. Hopefully everyone will be adult, professionals 🤞
I think that all depends on HHH beeing able to mending fences with all of them. Bruno, HHH reached out. Warrior, HHH reached out. Now Punk. Paul Levesque is a f'n genius, making returns happen that you won't believe to happen in the first place. They did a beautiful job with Bruno after his return, honoring him here and there sometimes. That was great.
This is what's happening at Mania, either Orton Vs Lesnar or Lesnar Vs McIntyre and Orton Vs Priest Vs Balor In a Triple threat match for the Money in the bank with Orton winning and cashing in on Cody Rhodes after he wins the WWE title to win it at Mania starting their feud for a year. Or you replace Orton with McIntyre in the money in the bank match and he cashes in on Rollins after he beats Punk for the World title on Night One either way, they are saving that Money in the bank cash in for Mania
Never thought this would happen. I still doubt HHH likes Punk one bit but let's see... The thing is once new Drama comes up, i doubt HHH would be like TK doing everything to keep Punk happy. Punk clearly is the same he has always been, he proved that enough in AEW.
I’m not sure why people aren’t mentioning the contract talks for why Drew McIntyre stormed out. Most likely he was pissed off because they just signed Punk, who had a lot of back stage issues at AEW, while they haven’t been able to come to terms on a new deal with Drew, while he’s been a company guy.
With McIntyre feuding with Rollins for the title, and recently turning heel. I wonder if McIntyre was originally scheduled to defeat Rollins for the title at Mania (or anytime before), but with CM Punk returning, maybe now McIntyre has lost his stop and title reign. Which would explain why McIntyre is frustrated, even if he doesn't havr any issues with Punk. Pure speculation on my part.
Maybe this shows people to stop listening to dirt sheets. But it's priceless watching everyone convinced he wasn't coming having to admit being wrong or claiming they knew it was happening
It also looks like Seth and Sami were talking to each other through the cage as Punk walked out in one of the iPhone videos, and it made me think that they were talking about if Seth should drop his Babyface act for a moment to try and get a little heat for not just himself but for a future confrontation between himself and Punk.
I don't blame TK for firing him, and I don't blame Punk for wanting out of AEW. AEW company is mismanaged. TK is to blame for its lack of structure and leadership. I believed Punk did tried his best to help the company, but he's being disrespected by the younger guys who won't listen to him. I do believed he intentionally trying to get himself fired from AEW. Even though TK given Punk the keys to the kingdom, he still don't want to be there. He had enough. He doesn't like TK divided Punk's camps, and the Elite's camps for 2 different shows to avoid dramas. He doesn't like being told to leave early after finishing his match at the ppvs. Punk knew it's not going work out because the Young Bucks aren't willing to do business with him, and it's going to lead to more problems, and Punk don't want that. The Elite are doing what's best for them, not for the company. Now I understand what Punk meant when talked about there's no union in pro wrestling.
As far as I am concerned CM Punk deserves no benefit of the doubt of any kind. I hope he falls flat on his face. The complete refusal to take any accountability whatsoever. His behavior all year which points to a real mental issue that is lurking within him. Being erratic and irrational. Wanting to fight anyone over the smallest things. You think that WWE doesnt have guys like Kevin Owens who are very close with the Young Bucks and saw that whole thing happen and isnt casting a Judgement. Punk is already divisive minute 1. I hope he fails in spectacular fashion.
I find it hilarious how everyone below is acting like everything was punks fault. Imagine asking not to work with a co worker in the real world and be separated in different buildings. You’d be told to get over it and kick rocks.
Maybe in 5 years when their AEW deal expires.....and thatS if Punk didnt retire by then since he will be 50 because as you have seen the only way wrestlers leave AEW is if either their deals end like Jade Cargill or they do something that got them fired like Cm Punk LOL
@@Speedyreedy1218 It was the one where he said "Go ahead leave, main event night 1 of the buy 1 get 1 free extravaganza and get released faster than you lasted in the sack." And now punk is probably gonna main event night 1 of wrestlemania against rollins lol.
I think Punk comes out tomorrow, shits on Roman and says he wants a worker’s title, wants the big gold belt, Seth comes out and shoots, says he hates him and will never work with him. Punk wins the Rumble and forces a match with Seth at Mania. Everybody makes a bajillion dollars.
