this passing definitely sucked but i think something that helps me think more positively is...I remember the ESPN documentary of Scott Hall in 2011. He was so defeated and an absolute shell of the man he used to be. but he found redemption. He got into the Hall, and he was involved with helping out some of the next talent with NXT. At least in the last few years of his life, he was able to still give back to those following in his steps

I loved what he told to Kevin Nash before he passed away, "Nobody's perfect. The only perfect person was nailed to a cross." Scott Hall without a doubt will be forever known as one of the Greatest Superstars in history. He might not have held a World Title, but he has made a legacy that will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Scott Hall. Put in a good word for all of us above in Heaven. ✝️🙏

I first got into WWF when I was a kid going to my cousin's house down the block. He had cable, I didn't. I saw Razor Ramon, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Doink the Clown, Vader, the IRS Man, the Undertaker, etc. Man, the memories. And then there was a period of no wrestling and then years later, the Attitude Era.

Very good video Solomonster. A couple of things I disagree with you on but it’s just splitting hairs. As far as an in ring worker I think Scott was a better in ring worker than Hogan, Sting and Goldberg. Was he as over as they were? That’s a very interesting conversation to have and I don’t think it can be written off as most people think it would be. I know people can watch things on the network but it’s not the same thing as living through it as a fan. In 1995 in the first half of 1996 and I am a huge Sting fan btw , Sting and Hogan might’ve been over but they weren’t anywhere near as over as Scott and Kevin were when they came over. That changed everything. Now was Scott put in the position for the fans to mentally think of him as that guy? No but it wouldn’t have taken much to put him in that position. They did it with Goldberg and there was a time that HBK and Brett Hart weren’t in those positions. Scott just didn’t really care he knew he was over he didn’t need to be the world champion. For all the things the people that hate the clique said no one has ever said that Scott was continually lobbying to be a world champion. Scott had no problem doing jobs for anybody. I think if either company wanted to get behind Scott and push him as that number one guy going for the belt it would’ve been a lot easier than people think. HBK himself and said he got better because of working with Scott. Jim Cornett did a great video about Scott and actually broke it down on why he thinks Scott Hall was the best worker in the Kliq but Shawn the guy that had the best matches because in all reality other than ladder match Scott was never put in those matches like that. In the WWF he was one of the best intercontinental champions of his time and when he went to WCW he was mainly part of the most over Tag Team WCW had is 1/2 of the outsiders. The discussion about who was the best wrestler to never hold the world title between Piper and Scott is also interesting because when you talk about who was the better worker I think Scott was a hell of a lot better of a worker than Piper. I’m not saying that pipe or socks or anything like that at all but Scott had a lot more diversity. As far as their skills on the mic I know people say that papers one of the best and he’s great on the mic but Scott’s right up there. The one thing that piper had over Scott that I don’t know how hard Scott could try he could never do this as well as Piper did and that was be a heat seeking heel. Piper was very easy to diss like as a heel so no matter who the baby face was that baby face was getting over a lot because the fans would hate him. Scott was really just too cool to hate that much. I mean the N.W.O. did a lot of heel things that if any other two wrestlers on the planet not named Scott hall and Kevin Nash would have done them they would’ve been hated but so many people cheered them on as they went and did those terrible things though because they made it look cool. These are just my opinions and I am perfectly OK with anyone disagreeing with me but I would ask that hey let’s have a cool discussion about it let’s have fun with it there’s no reason to call anyone names or call anyone stupid or anything like that. And Scott’s not the only wrestler in the business that I think had the tools in the talent that if the company got behind him he could’ve been a huge star there’s probably dozens of other guys like that. Rest in peace Scott Hall, and thank you so much for all the memories and great matches and great moments you gave us.

I just did a quick search and can confirm what Solomonster says about the Razor's Edge actually getting kicked out of. The match with Crush happened on the June 6, 1993 episode of All American Wrestling and at least with the match, they protected that kickout by having Razor take his time with pinning Crush to give Crush time to recover from taking the move.

IMO, his biggest accomplishment is not his in ring work, though those were very good and can be called his greatest accomplishment by others., it's the fact that every wrestler to this very day in every or at least most promotions gets guaranteed contracts all because of him and Kevin Nash. That means every wrestler is assured a study paycheck in all promotions. With that money, they can take care of their families, put roofs over their heads, put food on the table, and put clothes on their backs. That is his greatest legacy.

Actually from my old Sting and Eric Bischoff said they both say even sting himself that Scott Hall was the one that suggested it to him. I don’t know if he actually use the words “crow” but he definitely said go darker maybe use some darker make up, told him to kind of rip off the undertaker and it sounded like a lot of what sting would do over the next few months would also be a lot of Scott’s idea. I’m just going off what both Sting and Eric Bishoff said. And actually for the record the first time Scott Hall said that what he said before was “I was never going to bring this up but sting when ahead and said it so I feel OK talking about it. I forget the interview were sting first said it it was over a decade ago it was one of his first shoot interviews though.

It's sad that we've lost one of the most charismatic guys in wrestling in the last 20 years. Despite that i didn't grew up as much with WWF and WCW back then i used to watch a few VHS, that was my introduction to Razor Ramon and what a worker he was. I'll always remember his TNA runs and his run here in Puerto Rico with I.W.A when he went one on one with Ricky Banderas "Mil Muertes", the man had tons of charisma not to mention how good he was at making his opponent look good even in defeat. My memory of Scott Hall goes back to 1986 when he was partnered with Curt Hennig losing the AwA tag team championship to Buddy Rose and Doug Summers. I wasn't watching wcw so I had no idea of the Diamond Studd, but I remember the first set of vignettes with Razor Ramon, my personal favorite is of him making a wish come true for some guy by a fountain. I do recall wondering whatever happened to Scott Hall and wondering why he hasn't shown up in the WWF yet, little did I realize he was already there and it wasn't until maybe '94 or '95 that I learned Razor is Hall. Speaking of the testing Razor as a babyface, during the time Bret Hart was feuding with Lex Lugar after Wrestlemania 9, Razor would interfere in the finishes and be accidently knocked out by Luger. Once he came to he and Lugar would have a scuffle to which the fans clearly sided with Razor. Then at a house show both heels faced off with Razor as the defacto babyface. I think the 123 Kid angle hadn't happened yet so it was only a matter of time for a Razor Ramon face turn. RIP Scott Hall

I kinda disagree with you on when to put the WWF Title on Razor Ramon. I think the best time to do it could've been WM 11. If I were to fantasy book this, The Bad Guy loses the IC Title to Jeff Jarrett like irl. Then later on he comes out at #20 & he outlasts everyone in the match. In the end, he wins by last eliminating Shawn Michaels which sets up Razor vs. Diesel for the WWF Championship at WM 11 & long story short, they put on an entertaining main event match & in the end, The Bad Guy WINS the WWF Championship to a BIG POP from the crowd & ends the PPV with confetti falling all over ringside. He then goes to have a run as strong run as WWF Champion until SummerSlam where he loses to British Bulldog.

Have Owen beat Bret at Summerslam, then have Razor beat him say...Survivor Series. Diesel's title win seemed rushed. I'm all for him and HBK feuding in 95, but it didn't have to be over the WWF title. Diesel wasn't ready.

@@lexkanyima2195 There would be solid challengers. Owen would be first, wanting a rematch. Then HBK since they had IC title history. Then Diesel likely interferes as their tension escalated. 1. Razor beats Owen to win at Survivor series. 2. Razor beats Owen again at the rematch in December. 3. Hbk challenges Razor in January. Razor retains due to Diesel. 4. In February there's a triple threat match. Razor retains again. 5. The conclusion sets up HBK vs Diesel in March at WM X. With Razor's opponent being the Royal rumble winner.

@@lexkanyima2195 Bret Hart could be who wins the rumble. So that's who faces Razor in the main event. WM10 back in NY with two over babyfaces at MSG. Boom.

@@lexkanyima2195 My bad, WM11 was in Hartford, CT, right? That's still in WWE's wheelhouse. CT from the outskirts of NY. Card still works.

You could call the strikes from Vader punches but I don't if you can call them worked punches.

Holy fuck he really is gone. Didn't sink in until Solomonster made it official in my mind. I'm no fan of the Kliq, but nobody deserves death. Rest In Peace, Mr. Hall. I'm not a tattoo guy, but I've been seriously considering his HOF quote being inked on my body permanently. You all know the one.

Scott never wanted to be world champion. For him wrestling was about making money which is why he always put over every young guy he thought deserved it. He was always the big name get over fall guy.

Why ? He had the tools to become world champion. But Solomonster made a good point of the wrestlers was on a higher level, in terms of draw, connection, and on top.

It's not impossible to feel bad for Scott Hall, but it's very hard to when you consider all the shitty things he's done over the years, including more recent things, like when he refused to sign the kid who was dying of cancer's card at a convention with the argument "Heels don't do that" even though he previously begged fans to fund some surgeries through GoFundMe. Then there was the time his son Cody was accused of stealing from a wrestling program and he was quick to throw his son under the bus before there was any evidence, saying something like "I didn't raise him to do that", or there was that rather charming interview with ESPN where he said being a pro wrestler was more important than his family or the time he groped a 57 year old woman in the late 90s or the time he cornered a stewardess on a flight and said "You and me are gonna fuck" or the times where Hall and his bullshit Klique sabotaged Shane Douglas and other wrestlers career in the WWF. Great wrestler, sure, but he was basically a sociopath in life.
