Netflix has had new subscribers recently but I won’t be one of them. Their content hasn’t been good in years, and they constantly up their prices. I won’t be subscribing just to see Raw, I’d rather continue seeing highlights on RU-vid

Why? You really are missing out. The ad tier is very affordable. There is a lot of great content there. Just watch, it will eventually be the home of all WWE content. I don't get why people can't change with our times. I pay like 20 bucks a month for Disney and Netflix. I don't miss cable at all. The news is all online now too so nobody is missing anything.

Netflix is gonna have to test themselves to see how they can handle live programming weekly. Max, Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video, and even Apple TV+ have shown they can handle it. Netflix with all that money they spent to acquire Raw are gonna have to step up.

It's going to have more viewers than cable eventually. I would bet my life on it. Streaming is still growing, cable is not at all. Think about the amount of people who will put it on out of curiosity, ease of access, and it will be right there everytime a person goes to Netflix. Word of mouth spreads like wildfire with some Netflix shows. They are very smart for doing this deal. It has parallels with Vince and Turner supporting cable and PPV early in. Like it or not this is the future. Actually it is current really.

I loved the WWE Network. Loved it. Hated the move to Peacock, still do, and will hate the move to Netflix even more. But if it can not be 3 hours anymore, that would be a plus. And at least I won't have to constantly hear Michael Cole crow about Raw being the longest-running cable show or whatever.

Netflix also will cross promote with wwe to bring back wwe films. And they all can be produced by netflix. This works to prob keep wrestlers from leaving to hollywood as the rock, cena & roman whon is next to leave

For Countries outside the US yes everything moves to Netflix including PLEs and RAW Smackdown & NXT. For people in the US The network library and PLEs will stay on Peacock until 2026 and only Raw is going to be on netflix

One thing I do gotta add. I don’t think cable will go away completely. No I think it’ll just switch to digital to combat these streams that are alternate to traditional cable (ie Fubo, RU-vid TV, Sling TV, Roku). They’ll just do like what’s happened with pay per view where it’s mostly online like TrillerTV (formerly FITE TV), DAZN, and ESPN+ (still can’t believe you have to pay extra with your subscription to watch UFC or boxing PPV)

The crazy part about this situation is that they’ll likely get more viewership since I typically skipped Raw on USA network and Smackdown on Fox. But know I’m enticed to have Raw pop up on Netflix and will likely tune in no matter how poor or boring the content is.

In some ways, this is kind of a gamble by WWE. That gamble is lessened by the fact that Smackdown is on USA network. If both raw and Smackdown were on Netflix; there might be too much risk associated with this gamble. The money is very good though and hard to argue against. I think we are seeing some signs from Peacock and from prime that live sports can find an audience on streaming.

I haven't subscribe to Netflix since 2013. I didn't even know Netflix now does live stream for events since Raw will be live on there. Then again I didn't know about Peacock until WWE moved their live ppv there. I won't be subscribing to Netflix to just watch Raw unless they have a friendly deal on Black Friday like Peacock does. Peacock just did a deal recently on Black Friday of 20 dollars for 1 year. If Raw had went to Peacock as well I wouldn't mind since it already has their live ppvs and other library of stuff. But subscribing to Netflix just to watch Raw that can sometimes bore me is not worth it.

I don’t think they can just “cancel” RAW, because they bought the rights to the show, they’re not producing it. They would either have to tell WWE they want out of their contract and open negotiations elsewhere, sell the rights to somewhere else with WWE’s permission (the PGA did this with FOX), or wait until their contract expires and don’t renew it.

I'm not a big fan of this. The streaming bubble will burst soon. People are starting to get ripped off the same way cable ripped them off. Rates go up. Programs get cut. More ads. Eventually people are just going to be happy with a cheap basic cable package again and not have to babysit a bunch of different streaming services every month.

Massive move by WWE here. I knew they would move Raw to streaming since 2021 honestly. I thought by 2030 and on Amazon. Netflix is the leader in the market so it makes sense and is the best place for it. It’s such a new thing that I can’t wait to see how it works If this goes well I expect WWE wanting Netflix to be the home for their content if not then NXT on a streaming service, Smackdown on another and maybe even AEW will see the value and want to go more streaming. TV isn’t dead yet but streaming I believe did take over as the more preferred way to watch programming in 2022 so this makes sense. Nick Khan is the best signing in WWE history,

For some odd reason you all think ratings/Viewership Netflix does record their Viewership. Lift last week was #1 with 33 million Viewership, equalizer 3 at 5.9 million, the proposal (movie) 4.9 million. SO YES WE WILL HAVE VIEWERSHIP. Well, I’ve been watching Raw since 1996 and this move to Netflix is not gonna stop me from continue to watch it’s a Monday night tradition. I hope they don’t move it to another night. It hast to be on Monday and he hast to be live all the luck to Wwe and thank you for all the moments throughout my entire life I’m a wrestling friend through and through. I’m a WWE guy but I do enjoy AEW WELL I did when it was good NOW IM JUST watching to see if he gets good again, but I digress this is about Monday night RAW and this wonderful move. I think it’s gonna be good for the business and ITS gonna be historic Wwe once again breaking ground and they gonna be the first to do it. I’m excited about because they’re gonna have to UP ITS production, give us better stories And I think all is going to be a great move. Thank you solo for the video.

No, I couldn't disagree more. There will be a TON of people who will put it on due to the ease of access and having it on the Netflix dashboard in your face all the time. There will be curious people who heard about the fact Vince is gone, the Rock's involvement, the crazy stock prices etc. This could potentially bring in a whole bunch of lapsed fans. And it isn't like they are pushing people away with terrible creative anymore. More people than ever will be watching. Also, who can't afford less than 10 bucks a month for the ad tier? It is a steal even if it goes up a buck or two

I think Raw moves to Fridays. That way either you watch it live or over the weekend. Smackdown probably moves to Tuesdays, NXT on Thursdays.

I mean That's already the case internationally under this new deal starting with the UK, Canada and Latin America starting from next year. I wouldn't sub to netflix for wrestling. You kidding me? Not a weekly product. I sub to New Japan for a month every year just to watch Wrestle Kingdom. I don't see value in staying subbed to streaming services for extended amounts of time in the age of binge watching what you actually want to watch and then unsubbing.

Im in Canada and I cancelled my Netflix a couple of times back in 2017 then cancelled again in 2021. I have cable and I like cable more because cable is easier to watch live sports like NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB etc. and I liked that Sportsnet 360 had all WWE Shows in Raw, SD & NXT all on the same channel. I didnt have the WWE network so I illegally streamed the PLEs. Now that Everything WWE is moving to Netflix in Canada Im going to have to illegally stream everything now the weekly shows and the PLEs. I dont plan on going back to Netflix cause my family doesnt have much use for it since we cancelled twice over the last decade. I wish WWE would have kept some kind of Cable deal in place for us to at least watch Raw, SD & NXT at least

That's true I do think it will be alright as if it even gets around 500k an episode Netflix will probably be happy. Remember 5 billion sounds like a lot but if you think about it an average Netflix movie costs them over 100 million so the ROI is very low plus not like Netflix has too produce anything they're just the distributor so it's a good deal for them long term. We pay for max, Disney and RU-vid premium they as are very close friends pay for Hulu, Netflix and Paramount we got a good thing going and have been for years

Hate to be that guy but Raw going to Netflix is a bad move for me. Netflix going the fake version of “Woke” and having the movie “Cuties” on it sealed the deal with me. They won’t get my money. Raw has been boring anyway and CM Junk ain’t gonna fix it.

I was born and raised on cable. I'm not a streaming guy and never will be. I don't get why people hate cable now. I won't get Netflix. I do, however, get Peacock free with Comcast cable.

i doubt it as WWE tends to be ran by people who are competent at their job when it comes to the tv/ppv rights where pre disney Marvel was ran by people who where very competent in the tv/movie rights department.
