It is definitely useful for specific applications. Perhaps as optical recognition and following technology on drones improves a better system might be developed, but from what I can see available at the moment, a robot will never be as good as a human at anticipating where to point the camera in a few seconds into the future.

Great video! What would your thoughts be on using it with something like the E-flite F-1t6 Thunderbird? I'm assuming the plane would be too fast for the tracking.
Thanks. The main problem with smaller models such as your EFlite F-16 is a place to put the tag. I think the model would carry it as it weighs 42g and is 40mm x 40mm x 21mm. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! We had issues with the camera not tracking properly. It filmed the ground, 30 yards to the right of the device, loses GPS constantly, just to name a few issues. We reached out for help and they took forever to respond. We ended up purchasing another camera system and sending this one back. Even getting the return information back from them has been a super hassle! We were finally told that Soloshot received the items and it could take up to 30 days to refund. It has now been over 60 days since they've told us they've received the product back. No refund, and no response. I caution anyone from buying this camera. There are better options in the same price range that I would go with...and did. Good luck to anyone who buys this camera. Hopefully you have better luck than us. AVOID THIS PRODUCT/COMPANY!!!
You couldn't even begin to imagine! They will only respond to/through e-mails, and once we said we were going to return the product, they now take several weeks to respond and the only response we get now is "refunds can take up to 30 days."
I had the same issues and was not able to contact anyone from solo shot. I finally attempted to get a refund and filed a claim through my credit card company. The funny part is when I did that solo shot contacted credit card company and my claim was denied. I’m out $1000. I recommend anyone who sees this to not buy their products. They’re a SCAM!! Great video though and I’m glad your camera works for you.
@@ScaleMeDown ya man sorry but I’ve had nothing but issues with it done I bought it at the original asking price and was going to return it for calibration but heard there turnaround is terrible so ya here it sets . Sorry man not trying to be a negative person trolling video but honestly as a creator myself I’m very disappointed with the product 🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻
