I have 2 systems running Solus..one Budgie, one KDE...both are stable easy to use. I'm glad that this Distro survived its "near death experience"

AMEN!! I actually Like Solus. Runs well on an older laptop. Hope they keep it going!

I like Solus as well on older hardware, and hope they keep it going, I'm just going to be cautious of the new changes, and stick with Manjaro Gnome on my main machines.

I had the budgie version and the kde version- and was testing them both on my dual boot system. Then I tried a couple othes-- and when I decided I wanted to use Solus Budgie-- it won't install. won't even boot any more- gives errors (different each attempt)-- so I did a FRESH download and confirmed it and it STILL won't load at all. (shame too- I had decided to keep it.. now I can't)

I like Solus, and Budgie DE, but with the upcoming changes I'm cautious, and I think I'm gonna stick with Manjaro Gnome on my main computers for the foreseeable future.

I hate Flatpak too, but it’s better than snapd.

IM NOT a fan of WAYLAND at all.. just don't like it-- til they get it all fixed. BUT- I do want to use KDE- so now have no choice since it DEFAULTS to WAYLAND and soon they're gettnig rid of XORG in their stff completely.
