O have a watching a friend gave me. I bought a charger and put it on and it started with the red snake and quickly went to green. It blink on and off. I left it on the charger for a few Hr but can’t get it to turn on. There is NO red snake as people say anymore. It hasn’t been on a charger in over 1 week, put it on one today and again just a green snake that blinks in and off. I’ve tried holding All the butts to turn it in and no luck. What can I do?
It happened with me too. The problem is that the charging round plate provided in box isn’t strong enough to jump start the now dead watch. All you need to do is connect the charging cable to a more powerful charging block. The default is 2amps but connect it to an ipad or the mac charger block. Even oneplus charging block will work. Once you have connected it you will see the apple logo appear after a min or two. Leave it like that for 5 odd minutes and you are good to go.
Me too! I just bought the series 6. This is crazy. I’m about to get a new one. I’m not about to play. You don’t want pay for something that clearly is already messed up
Ok so I was at the beach yesterday and it died or overheated , then I brought it home and charged it , it got a green snake thing , then I woke up the next day and I’m not getting it now all it’s doing is coming up with the Apple logo every 10 seconds
I got a old serie 1 from back in the day i left it on the charger for the night and the next day i wake up to a black screen like the watch died lol i tried alot of thibgs but look like the watch just died over night i still got the watch and every few month i try to see if a miracle would happen lol

YOU ARE “THE MAN”.I let mine sit for about a day and a half until no snakes appeared. Then put it on the charger, and Bingo, everything came back to life. Originally the watch was left on the charger for about a week. Apparently this is how the watch determines a battery overcharge. Thank you, thank you, thank you...It WORKS...
My biggest mistake was to buy Apple watch. This is the last thing i bought from Apple. How can brand new watches have same issue as they had 5 years ago.

I haven’t used my watch in over 2 years. Finally pressed it and it’s getting the red snake even when I haven’t turned it on. It’s been charging 2 hours and still green snake. Help
This happened to me yesterday with my Apple 3 42 mm watch. I had just turned on airplane mode, and switched off WiFi & Bluetooth because I saw my watch had a low battery of 12% & I wanted it to charge quickly (in the morning). So when I checked on it at night, after it had been charging ALL day it was DOWN to 3% power, I took it off the charger & then it jumped between 2% then 1% within a minute. At that point it became stuck in the low power mode & I couldn’t power off or force power off (No snake on the screen yet). So I tried putting it on the charger, and the charge symbol only changed color to green, so I decided to take it off & instead kept pushing the crown to light up the screen to drain the battery (it kept switching to standby/blank screen) & after a day of persistence, the “snake” appeared! But thanks to this video, I was prepared. I continued with what I was doing & until the battery drained out completely. Then I just waited a few minutes to confirm the battery status & then I put it back on its charger. As mentioned in the video, from a red snake it became a green snake BUT I just left it on the charger overnight & in the morning it was back to normal! (No unpairing, rebooting, or resetting was done nor required for me). Thanks a lot for making the video! My watch is Apple Watch 3 GPS only running watchOS 6.1.1 & is ready to update to 6.1.2
Omg I turned on my Apple Watch (or tried at least) after not charging or using it for a couple of weeks just for it to not turn on. I followed this step by step and it actually worked thank you so much! I cannot complain AT ALL since this actually worked but this guide did require lots of patience but it’s better than paying $300.
you pay a lot of $$ for their shit watch and battery dies and they charge you lot more $$ to replace the battery. I was a big Apple guy before this but now I am having a change of heart.

brendon is a holy bean well idk wth is going with my watch😫 it’s been dead for a year, and when I picked up it did nothing I tried to hard reset and it didn’t work! At this point I know it’s completely dead so I did like he said and put on the charger when I go to sleep but I also saw where it said try taking it off the charger for a while and then put it back on! So me being me I did that🙄 😂 so maybe I should just leave on there because if the watch is anything like the phone, if it’s been dead for a while it’s going to take a while to charge!😌
Thanks for the tips. However, I have put my watch connected to the laptop through a USB charger and the watch started taking charge within 2 minutes.... !!!
THIS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION!!!! get that watch DEAD DEAD ...I didn’t wait days I kept clicking and clicking until there was nothing on screen, didn’t wait extra time, put it right on charger and it was PERFECT! 3 damn days without a watch was SO ANNOYING! THANKS BRO!!!

Didn't work its Brand new and is just stuck on the green snake of death even if i charge it for 24 hours it won’t turn on when I take it off the charger someone help me please Never has turn on besides the green snake and has never been paired before it’s the series one
Literally tried this last night after watching this video a couple days ago and letting my watch completely die. It finally died so I put it on the charger last night woke up this morning and it was working again! Just came back to leave a like and comment and to thank you! 100% works!!

Hey I am totally new to Apple Watch, so I have to ask a stupid question: I thought the green lightning bolt is what you want to see, and that the red lightning bolt means that it’s almost dead. But since you’re calling it the green snake of the death I understand it’s the other way around?

I even had a report made by Apple and after various days the final solution with them was change battery or the whole watch. I really enjoy Apple and was the first time that I experienced malfunction with the Apple Watch, but that radical solutions is why so many customers complain about Apple so much. I lost my Apple Watch and found it in the interiors of my armchair and the green snake has appeared and it has been on charge for 3 hours and still hasn’t charged I will try your trick and I will give you a update :)
My wife just bought me a series 4. And it’s doing same thing. So thank you for this. Hope it works just trying it now. Update - I kept clicking the power button every 5 seconds till it completely died for 4 hours. Then put it on my wife’s charger and it works perfect now. Had to go replace the apple charger that came with mine.
I took mine to the apple store, they did the same thing and it started charging, I left the store at around 20% and about 20 minutes later it was dead. So I’m gonna try it again and see what happens.
Apple Watch series 1 and 2 so far just $40 battery replacement at batteries+bulb stores. Just took my watch 2nd series for just $30 installed and when you schedule online you get a $10 discount. Just in case
Wow! I think this may have worked for me too! My watch came back to life this morning after two days on the charger with the Green Snake Of Death. I had followed your steps exactly but was still worried because the green snake was still there. If I took the watch off the charger, the red snake immediately appeared, leaving me to think it just would not hold any charge and then suddenly it was ON this morning! I am restoring and hoping it holds the charge good. Thanks! Any idea why this happens?

Hey, I’ve left it off the charger for a week now!! So am I supposed to charge it when I press the buttons down and there is a black screen. Or am I supposed to automatically charge it when I left it out and the time and the snake pop up?
This happened to my watch twice. This fix worked both times! I had to wait three days for it to completely die but then I fully charged it using a regular Apple brand charger. Success! When I started re-charging I saw the snake again as well but if you let it keep charging it will go away. Thank you so much!
I dont have the snake everyone is talking about. Its so dead, just tells the time and shows me the red bolt. Im going to try waiting for it to be completely dead. (And no it wont even attempt to force reset)
