Bro seen your vids for a long time, the attention to sound quality you give to a product is very impressive, thanks for covering such niche topic in Indian market
Tried this on Samsung M31 mobile with Poweramp app and FLAC files. There is no improvement in quality compared to built in DAC of the phone. This DAC doesn't worth Rs 2000.
The kind of tech videos we need. Nice work. Veey rarely people touch the sound items. I am planning to buy moto edge 50 pro and this product might be helpful.
Didn't work on my s23 ultra. No idea why ..checked all the debugging options still coudnt find a way to get it work. Edit: My bad It worked after reboot.( you can try changing the USB default configuration if it doesn't work I didn't change it though) Also make sure the 3.5 connection is tight.Push it in all the way.
Can you compare it with the AUDIOCULAR - D11 CS43131 from concept kart. Because both are priced under 2000 and I think while cx 31993 chip is an entry level chip CS43131 used to be a upper mid tire/premium chip. I know apart from the chip other factors also play role but I would love to see a comparison. Also audicular products with cx31993 are available form Rs.700-Rs.1100 range. If possible compare such product also.
I don't find the audiocular cx31993 to be good enough, it's okay and does the job but has emphasis on treble and makes sound brighter. Though I only have this one as of now but because of the said reason I have to buy a new one. Also the output volume is not loud enough considering I am using it with iPhone 15, also it doesn't work properly with my redmi note 10
@@zygote8888 Audiocular DC 08 has no separate amp, D07 has slightly worse DAC Chip but it has the same AMP chip as this ddHiFi, basically D07 has same dac chip and amp chip as ddHiFi but costs half the price.
@@muchvibrant i did read output power is 70mA 08 and 65mA 07 and did does have additional SA9302L Chipset but don't know what it does anyway it has good reviews for all wrong reasons it happens
Until now you have made only 1 video about your G-Shock. Could you please make more of it as I have seen you wearing quite a few different watches. -A fellow G-Shock fan!
Thanks brother for making this video. But headphone zone team told me the issue with Samsung S23 that dac may not work.. 😢. So I am thinking whether to buy moondrop chu 2 or fiio jd1 or tangzu warner sg along with ddhifi dac.. Please suggest which one I should buy and shall I buy the dac also.
DACs do make a substantial difference, something like Hexa will benefit from this. The difference isn't always immediately noticeable, but you will keep finding instances where things sound cleaner than your phone/PC directly connected. The difference won't make your Hexa sound like a higher end IEM tho, but for good IEMs, it is better to have a decent source.
In supported phones along with apl that uses the dac, the system will ask you to give the app full access of the dac... now thag doesnt work with samsung..
Any dac irrespective of the price should sound the same. Because a dac is supposed to sound transparent, while more expensive dac may provide higher bit rates and sample frequencies, anything above 48 khz and 16 bit is honestly indistinguishable for the human ear.(That included the best of human ears). Don't know about this specific dac but most chifi dacs are objectively worse than the usb c dongles provided by apple or samsung. They colour the sound and have inferior signal to noise ratio, total harmonic distortion, and op impedences.
@@TechReflex Quite the opposite really. Would've appreciated it if you had actually countered what I said instead of taking a short-cut and posting a rather snide response.
@@bablusonavne384 I have this dac, and Apple's dongle, this one is significantly better sounding. Also, you are totally wrong about the 'all DACs should sound same because they're supposed to sound transparent.' analogue signal that these DACs produce varies in quality.
@@TechReflex No, A DAC is supposed to convert the digital signal to an analogue without adding color to it and its quite necessary so it translates better across all headphones , if you really wanted to change the tuning of your headphone, just use an eq , don't even bother wasting money on a dac. The biggest reason that this DAC may be perceived as better quality is loudness, it is definitely louder than the apple dongle, and generally a louder sound is perceived as better. It could also mean that the DAC when combined with your headphones fills in for the headphone inadequacies. Or that it is a better DAC than the apple (objectively) which is highly unlikely, considering most chifi dacs including the ones from good brands like moon drop aren't up to mark. "analogue signal that these DACs produce varies in quality" Can you define quality in this context ??
@@narenraj7268 those headphones already have a DAC good enough for their drivers, built into them. There's not much benefit to get by using it in wired mode.
Thank you for making me aware of this adapter. I use Sennheiser bt 450. Will this make a significant difference in audio quality on my devices (laptop, mobile)?
No, it can only improve audio quality of wired audio gear, and the BT450 has drivers which are driven well enough by its inbuilt amps, so there's no improvement to be gained by connecting it in wired more, even to more expensive DACs.
ofc any dac will make difference compared to the stock one present in any phone but in iPhone most of the dacs (even higher priced), don't support mic passthrough on iphones so our phone microphone will be used in that case
Please reply to query it's urgent. If This DAC has Mic pass through support then if my iem cable doesn't have mic, and while listening to songs using this DAC and i get a call then can i use phones mic for calling purposes?
My pc gives me static noise when I put in my earphones in one of the headphone ports directly. Will this dongle fix that since it works on digital signal?
@@TechReflex Hi, thanks for responding. The DAC on this phone is 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res audio. Will it be any good? if I add this DAC on top of it. Will I notice any perceivable difference ?
@@vedasiva695 resolution doesn't really matter. I don't have that phone so I am not sure about the quality, but if it's advertised as a good dac by brand, it probably is, and you may gain better practical increase in performance by going with something higher end.
@@TechReflex it is not being advertised explicitly in brands ads or anything but it is mentioned in the spec sheet. I am kind of confused whether to buy this dac or not.
Compare it with venture electronics abigail pro, both has the same dac chip, Would both give the same quality, do i get anything extra by spending another thousand rupee for ddhifi x hz dac
Will it work with realme phone? Recently bought a p1 whose sound quality is disappointing for the price. I have a bl03, will this amp be a good investment?
@@mahesh-ox8rh not very comfortable with the stock one. But they've lasted me throughout the pandemic so if longevity is what you're looking for it's OK. After changing the wires, I've refrained from spending another 800-1k on tips till now, will probably have to in the next few months.
It worked on my s23 ultra.Enable debugging change usb default configuration and reboot,It should work.Don't know if it will work next time. Also push the 3.5 pin all the way in to the DAC.
Sir, I purchased ifi audio go link .. but I wanna perchase ddhifi but lightning adapter is not in this box .. ifi provide lighting adopters.. it’s my good decision or bad , we use iphone ,, plz tell me
Other Lightning to USB C adapters will also work with ddHifi DAC, if that's what you wanna ask. As for it's sound quality, I don't think this DAC should be better than iFi go link.
@@omshreegems6798 You can check out Simgot EA500LM I recently reviewed, it's an amazing VFM at its price, and even though it's around 7K, the jump in SQ will be more than worth it.
