This is the solution to the backdoor lock on the Toyota Alphard not working. You may think it is a mechanical problem but I believe it is an electronic brains issue. Whatever reason you believe your rear Toyota door is not opening, this is the solution.

Wow! Just replaced the tailgate on my Alphard to repair some accident damage and had the problem after putting all back together. Had checked all the fuses, thought I may have damaged the wiring somewhere and was about to start testing them. So glad I found this! Thanks so much for posting.

Surprisingly no. It wasn't off long enough. The reset for the windows is on this channel too.

Great tip . Can you please advise on the bulb sizes. I have the face-lifted version 2005. Id like to buy Led bulbs for the entire front off Amazon in the US. My Alphard is in Africa. Please help

im facing this issue plus cabin light none of it functioning and also i cant lock my car using the remote

I would check all the fuses too. In remember a bizarre scenario where my lights were all off and the sunroof would not open. It was an fuse in the end under the driver steering wheel.
