Thank you so much, Sir. I'm an educator & have been facing this issue for several months. Your tutorial helps solve my problem. I can now install Google extensions for my classes. Bless you & thank you so much.
For windows 10, you select "System32", find "Drivers", click "etc", remove all the clients under google, just like mentioned in the video. Worked for me in 2024, excellent, thank you :)
bro i thought those comments are bought but it worked! It also solve my 'the server encountered an error google drive' problem! good work from 5 years ago dude!
Thank you so much. After months of tryng to fix this I finally was able to download the chrome extension I wanted. Before it would not let me edit the host with Notepad, when I went to save, it would tell me I needed authorization to edit it. Doing what you did copying host from etc to desktop, editing that host then pasting back again in etc, solved the problem. Thank you.
@@sageofmugen1724 i solve this problem, i delete the chrome_proxy.exe in the Chrome folder, then i delete the second file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc Imhosts.sam (i delete hosts too), then in file "network" i delete the stroke loopback 127, and the last thing i did it that i delete the folder DriverData
