I don't know who you are, i don't know where you live but I'm gonna find you and thank you personally! My 2 months old helios 300 had exactly the same issue and your video saved me. Mentioning that i didn't actually removed the battery i have just unplugged it from the motherboard and powered on the laptop with it's power supply and it worked. I've reconnected the battery plugged in the power supply, started it again and everything looks good. Thank you good Sir for making my day better!
Being an old IT hack, I was aware of the “remove the battery” trick, and had tried that and it did not work. Seeing this video, I noted one difference….remove the battery cable, plug in power and power it up without the battery. Came right up. Shut down and plug-in battery and all was well. I would add that my laptop was unused for a couple weeks while I was out of town and likely had a low battery that charged over night while i contemplated rearing this thing open.
You are right...Yes fast remove bettery than remove all USB cable.than now open laptop with charger...open laptop this remove all USB cable...okh. .....try it 💯 working
Wow wow wow just saved me from soooo much trouble and money!!! Shut down my laptop and both lights stayed on weirdly long, So I force shut it down with the button. Came home and it would light up the blue light no no boot or noises or fans. Took your advice, removed battery, placed power chord in, booted up great. Battery back in, now all of a sudden she wants to work!! Thank you !!
100! There's obviously a charging circuit logic error and my experience tracked your instructions completely. Worked just like you explained (including the abrupt power down while still plugged in!) and I'm back up and running after only 10 minutes of removing and replacing a dozen small screws (2 on the battery.) My particular edition of the Helios 300 has a slightly different configuration, with the plug on the back and no red charging LED. But it went just like this otherwise. Oh, plus, I didn't put the battery in the cooler because your video made it clear that it was the charging circuit logic error, not a mechanical failure. But I might invest in another UPS for this particular setup that I leave turned on most of the time. Occasional power losses will mean having to do this annoying (but simple!) partial disassembly. Thank you and the Lord be with your spirit!
Thanks for the clear video. Had the same issue today with my 15 month old Helios. Disconnected battery, waited 10 mins and then put it back together. Fixed (at least for now).
Yup....worked for my Acer Predator 17 as well....disconnected all peripherals, disconnected the battery, connected power supply and switched on. Thanks man
Works for me also thx for the advice!! Same laptop I remove the battery, plug the charger, power on the laptop it's works ,power off the laptop, unplug the charger ,connect the battery ,plug the charger, power on the laptop , ~works~
He's right although I'm not sure sticking it in the battery freezer is what helped him. Mine had the same exact problem and it stopped after I unplugged and plugged the battery back in. No freezer step was needed in my case.
thank you so much, it worked perfectly , my laptop turned on... last time when my laptop wasn't turning on i tried this but it didn't work it was damaged a lot, and i spent a lot was worried i had to spend again now.... but this time it worked and saved me , really great full.
Pretty sure it's a bios power down issue.. Just disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it works.. No need to freeze it... There are no bios updates for this model as of 8-14-2023..
Friend I have the same problem, I connect the charger to the pc and the blue light stays on, but I click on the power button and it does nothing, I did as explained in the video but it did not work for me, I tried to disconnect the battery and connect the charger but the pc won't turn on, also disconnected the bios battery and left it all night to drain the motherboard
I opened the bottom of my laptop (I have the exact same laptop that you have) and I took off the metal covers to see what ssd drive I need to buy. But now my laptop won’t turn on… any idea why?
@@meljohndespacio5679 Yeah my laptop is fixed. All I did was open it back up again, unplug the battery for maybe 1-2 minutes, then had plugged it back in.
Hi, so my laptops about 6 momths old and the light is blue and the screen andkeyboard lights wont turn on to. Is the solution to put the battery in the freezer and for how long? Thankyou
i'm having the same problem right now sadly i cant open it up myself coz i do not have the tools. i havent used teh laptop in 2 days and I travelled with it on my back for like 5 hours. hopefully when i bring it up to the tech it would just be the same problem 😢
also i figured out this could also happen if you are charging any other device with your laptop , and whilst charging other device the battery of the laptop goes down, this happens.
@@WealthOverFameAndAttention yup it was super easy just open the back cover and there is a small white ic adapter connecting the battery just remove it and connect it again although this helped the first time but the second time after like a month the secreen showed me no bootable memory I think the hdd was so hot so I got a cooling pad and never ran into any issue, maybe in your case if the screen showed you "no bootable memory" and you let the laptop cool down a bit and still it didn't work then you need to replace your ssd or hdd depending on what you have
@@BreadCrispy yh i was on it too much , ive left it since only yesterday ive tried again..... disconnected the battery part , didnt work . thinking to buy a new battery bar
Welp I actually took the battery out and plugged it back in and it works perfectly played Watson e for 5 hours and I'm happy that the problem was I need a new battery which I don't really care about because I don't even take the ov anywhere bottom line is I kept this ov plugged in for 3 years and didn't know that kills the battery
Anyone tryna help me out here? I alr tried unplugging the battery and plugging it back in and trying to charge it with and without it yet it still won’t even show the blue light or charge
I was watching RU-vid for 2 minutes all of a sudden it just died the blue light blinks 5 times I have no power whatsoever never had a problem with this computer before
Actually so mad at this brand. Sent me 1 in which the monitor just stopped turning on less than 24 hours after purchase and now they sent me one that doesn’t turn on.
Help me. My laptop doesn't work as well. When I switch it on the screen doesn't respond but the led light is seen for 5 sec and then it switches off automatically. Do I fall in the same category?

Hello what can I do my Acer Predator Helios 300 PH312-52 laptop does not have a led it does not turn on the screen blinked then I removed the screen to check and it did not turn on anything else I can do please helps
Mine was in similar state before , but after pressing the power button for around 30 seconds , the charging lights have permenantly stopped coming. Any help?
pressing the power button down that long on laptops usually discharges all the residual power left in the battery and in a situation where the initial problem was extremely low battery charge to sufficiently power up the laptop, it might have made it worse. You can try plugging the AC adaptor into the computer for an hour and without turning it on follow the steps in the video. Hopefully, that helps. If that doesn't work you might need to replace the battery.
Not sure if it has same problem as mine. My laptop work fine but whenever i restart it just wont boot up. Only led on keyboard. Will it work by doing this? Wanna go to centre but i unseal the sticker to put ram n ssd 😅
It seems to be a different issue with your laptop. Probably a bios or bootable disk issue. Warranty may not take it back after the upgrade but you can try. Also, did the issue start after you changed the ssd?
Hi , my helios turned on after multiple attempt After turning it on , I noticed that my battery at 100 % got drained after using youtube in 5 mins. Do you think that this problem is battery related ?
Hi, my laptop is working fine since I bought it, but today when I using it it suddenly turn off and not able to turn back on, everything is off even the battery light. I try to drain, unplug and plug again the battery but it doesn't work, any help.
I took it by a shop and they said it was a problem on the motherboard and that seemed to be the consensus online as well. The only solution really is to send it into Acer which is great if you have the warranty but I didn’t so I had to get a new computer
I have the same problem, at the loading screen for a match in Valorant then it suddenly shutdown. No battery light, tried unplug and replugging battery still didn’t work 😭
Hiiieee sir.. I had the same problem for few times my battery charging lights was working.. but now it's not even showing charging light... I don't know what to do know
@@elishaubax yaa I checked with local repair shop n he sent me a pic where a part of my motherboard has been damaged due to short circuit so.. he is saying ur laptop is technically dead n its 99% impossible to get that part but if u wish tu give it a shothe asked me to go to authorized service centre.. n if they can't help then I m doomed 😓
@@ketultrivedi5692 sorry to hear that, problems with circuits are usually final with these types of components, it may be possible to salvage the HDD and do a transplant to a new PC or convert it to an external HDD for the new PC so you dont lose any data because of this issue
@@elishaubax yaa buddy.. I was saved that I had setup an automated back up Google drive software.. so that in case if anything happens I was able to get my important data back.. n yes I removed my HDD n nvme SSD n waiting to purchase new laptop n I will install in that.. so thanks buddy
You could try to repeat the process again and them prevent it from draining to zero but if it still doesn’t turn on then it’s time to replace the battery. Hope this helps!
Mine have the same issue. Laptop is only 8 months old. Only difference is I don't even get that orange/blue light when it's plugged. Nothing wrong with the power cord since it works with my older helios 300. Someone please help me.
i've had the same problem. At first this fix worked for me, but after a while the lap just wont boot. I have visited the service centre. They said it is an issue with the power button and asked me to replace the keyboard . i replaced keyboard my 3 months ago. till now the device is fine.
You probably need to replace the battery at this point. It isn’t holding any charge. I had a similar issue with another PC replacing the battery fixed it! Hope this helps.

what should i do with my acer predator helios 300. when i put the charger in , the charger light comes on but screen is blank and wont power up ? been told by the computer shop its the graphics card but i dont get how ..... shouldnt it be cause the battery might be burnt out so i just need a battery change
What color is the charge light? If it remains blue and doesn't power up then you might have a similar issue and the steps in this video may resolve it. If it is orange, then the battery isn't the cause.
Hi! I have a similar Helios 300 which is 2 yr old. One day it just kept on boot loop. i tried a few methods to drain CMOS battery, and do the BIOS F9 trick, but those didn't work. I also followed the video to remove the battery then charge it, but then I noticed the charge light didn't turn on without the battery. (Now it even doesn't go to the boot loop, just black screen with orange charge light.) Do you think that the CMOS battery is dead? :(
Your battery probably needs the kickstart then. Usually happens when the power is drained below what it needs to start charging. Take it out, place it in a freezer for some minutes, let it warm up and try charging it again.
@@elishaubax I have the other Predator Helios 300 model. My question is, can you extract the battery without canceling the warranty? There are a few screws that I have to take out to be able to open the laptop
@@Demowan I don’t think there is a way to do that. I had some screws hidden behind warranty tapes on my model. If you still have warranty it would be better to take it to an authorized technician without voiding the warranty.
