Model 7130-13-BT. The Home NetWerks Bluetooth Light, Fan, and Speaker. Great value at that price point. But the wiring of the Switch was confusing. I talk about that and other issues we ran into during the install. Hope this helps make you install go much better.

great video...we just had one installed with a full bathroom remodel. homewerks model 7130-18-bt. we have 2 switches, so the fan is on one switch and the LED light and speaker are on the other switch. i have one question: is the LED light/speaker able to be put on a dimmer? thank you!

Any tips on installing this fan with no attic access? My bathroom is on the 2nd floor in a vaulted ceiling. Thanks

Well if your sheet rock is up against the rafters that hold your roof not much you can do. You mentioned the ceiling was vaulted. At best the roof might have 2x6's used under the sheet rock. Which means you would only have 5& 1/2 inches of room depth wise. This style would not work.

I have a 12/3 wire going from my existing switch to the old fan/light combo. How do I wire that one up? Is it like regular fan/light combo wiring at the light? There seems to be a lot of confusion with the worong for this light, but I think my house was wired right. I haven't bought the light yet, but want to make sure I can even do it first.

As long as you have the white neutral wire to hook up to the switch your good. Sounds like they tied the neutral together behind the switches and ran them to the panel. Or they tied them together in the addict. Either way the switch just needs a neutral that goes back to the main panel no matter where it ties in. I had to pull one and connect it to neutrals in my addict. Worked fine then.

Ok, I currently have a single switch to run old fan/light. When the switch is on both fan and light are on. I installed this exact model. In the ceiling black to black, white to white and green to ground. The old switch was wired with two whites tied together in back. Blacks pass through the switch, and the ground to the ground screw on switch. I wired up the new switch with all whites tied together. The black hot coming in to the black on the switch. Red going out of the switch to black going to the new Home Networks unit in the ceiling, and green to ground. The lights were on, on the switch, but I got nothing happening in the ceiling. Reading reviews of this fan, I have seen where some have had a bad switch. Do you think this is the problem, or am I wiring something wrong?

So after further research, many reviews says it needs its own dedicated circuit. My circuit for this ceiling unit is tied into a couple more ceiling units. Would this be the problem?

So today, we picked up a new fan from Lowe’s and used the switch from it. Bam, it is working, so it was the switch, and all is good now. Contacted the company and have a new switch on the way. Gonna mount the other fan in are other bathroom.

@@macheted01 Have to wonder the amp rating. Is it because of some type of signal being passed on the wire or is it the amp rating. Like does it require it's on 15 or 20 amp circuit

My wife had issues connecting to the Bluetooth at first. She just kept trying to pair it. It finally worked. It doesn't have the best signal.

@@pompei1968 you have to look for the "Home Networks" Bluetooth signal. Do a Bluetooth search for available signals. Select the Home Network's signal. Then you can save it.

These things are junk! I had mine one month and used the speaker maybe 3 times, it quit working after that month. Every else works but the speaker. It's actually a known problem but no fix. Many people are saying the same thing. Don't waste your money, if you bought and have not installed it, take it back, trust me.

You don’t need to cut the hole bigger necessarily, you just fold the mounting fins in. If you still feel it’s needed to cut a larger hole just cut a 9 3/8” wide 1.5” long from the stud on both sides of the fan where the fins are. Push the wires “on top” of the fan before installing, the quick connections can hang up if not. Great video though, mfg. instructions are terrible.

Sorry. I didn't plan on doing the video until after we installed the light. The main reason I did the video was to warn people that you had to have a white neutral wire in your box with the switch. Most older homes don't have that. You just have a power wire going to your light/ fan.
