[SOLVED] My RSIM 13 is not working. Should I buy RSIM 12 or 14? What about Activation Errors?

As of April 2nd, 2019, Rsim 13 is no longer working and Rsim 12 and 14 is all we have. For an up to date ICCID for RSim 12 and new video please go to • NEW ICCID In Descripti... .
1) Activation Error means you need to update your iOS to 12.3.
2) Rsim 13 is currently broken and you should return whatever you bought (I don't see it getting fixed any time soon).
3) Buy Rsim 14 unless you still have an RSim 12, then please go to our video • NEW ICCID In Descripti... for info on how to program it.
**NOTE** Rsim 13 is currently broken and does NOT unlock iPhones any more. This video, as of April 2nd 2019, will ONLY unlock iPhones for people using Rsim 12 and 14. Please remember to like and subscribe and stay posted for anything new with Rsim and the future of iPhone unlocking.

Update as of 3/9/19 I received my rsim 13 in the mail today I used the iccid you gave me and it worked. All I had to do was after I took the rsim out, was recycled the phone and I had to put the rsim back in , then put my SIM card in. It worked . This is no joke lol. Oh and I ordered mine from Amazon . Hope this helps.

Try turning the phone off then back on. You may also want to check your messages settings and see what is set. Normal sms texting operates through your phone line, so if you can make a call, you can text. Picture messaging or mms works through data, so if your internet works (safari), then your picture messaging should as long as the settings are correct.

Cellular Pawn its working now. The first time I powered it off it didn’t work. But I’m all good now thanks. Oh there is one thing when I send or receive a message, above the message it says “number changed to primary “ not sure what that’s about but hey it works lol.

Yes. That is the reason I switched to 13 from 12. Rsim 12 wasn't working and so we tried a 13 and it worked just right. We have since used them on everything x and higher too

It can be used over and over on just 1 rsim 13. You just have to program the new iccid into it is all.

That's one of the nice things about rsim 13. Once the iccid is blocked you have to enter it again but if you have another 3 that day, you'll only have to do it once then as well.

Only info given by Apple, since you are the only one I have seen so far with this issue, is to turn the phone off and back on. Apple states that swapping sim cards back to back tends to do it. I would also recommend you restart the phone after you successfully unlock the device with the RSIM. I do a restart after every unlock just in case of things like that with how the software sets up or doesnt for that matter. Once it is back on, just leave it there for a while and I would assume it should start up just shortly thereafter. I assume iMessages was working with your last carrier and this phone or do you not know if that is true?

im trying to switch my cricket service to a boost iphone 7...but cricket ask for imei # and says its carrier locked and its nothing they can do...it seems like rsim is pointless if carriers wont activate

You have to be smarter than the carrier. Like how did they know it was locked? You told them it was boost. Don't tell them that. Tell them it's att or tell them it's unlocked. Not to mention, cricket doesn't require an imei unless you're making a new account. If you have cricket already, just swap the sim. If you don't have cricket, tell them you want a free phone from them and then swap Sims and resell the free phone.

There is a good chance that your RSim is bad and you need to send it back to get a new one. You can also try to adjust it in the tray. There is not a lot of room to adjust so at least that is easy but try to line it up to look like it is sitting on the back of the sim card and follows the same cut lines. I have found cards that need to be adjusted like this will tend to fail and have issues soon after you get it to work so it may just be better to send it back for a refund and I would tell you to then buy RSim 14 if possible because at least that chip doesnt require programming and seems to sit a bit better behind the sim card than RSim 12 did.

@@trevorwilliams3776 yeah for sure. Once you do the chip you won't see the "sim not supported" message. You will still have to call metro and give them your imei but it will work just after that. Chip it first, then call metro to change it, then rock and roll.

Your carrier would depict that more. Phone calls and sms work through the same thing, so you can have a phone making phone calls and not sms without the carrier being the problem. But check your phones settings. Probably has sms off or imessage on something not on right.

Is it an iphone 5 or 5s? This unlock method is too new for the iPhone 5. If you have a 5s it would work.

Use the iccid in the description. Iccid are only good for a few days. If that post is older than March 18, it's too old and will not work.

Hi mate, I restored my phone, and I can't unlock it now. It stucks in Simcard is invalid screen. I only have Try Again button, and when I click home button in this screen, emergency call popup does not prompt, so I can't call *5005*.... at all. I'm using RSOM13 with iPhone 6S, before I restore it iOS14.2 was installed on it. Do you have any recommendation?

If you are using any gevey, RSim, or turbo sim, you have to be fully updated to the highest iOS out. The *5005 method has not worked in over a year now sadly and if you can not program a new code onto your RSim, you will need to find our borrow an unlocked iPhone to program the RSim and then use in your phone.

It's all the same iccid no matter what model, carrier, or ios. You should also be using rsim 13 since rsim 12 is not as stable

Seems to work for a few phone calls then it won't ring anybody.I get internet and text messaging only.Then again i have heard ios 12.1.4 drop data calls on the iphone 7 so that could be the issue.

Sounds like service or phone issues. I have yet to see an issue like this with a phone after being unlocked with rsim 13. Rsim 12 chips use to give in and out issues all the time with us, which is why I asked of course. I assume you turned the phone off and back on, right? You may even try to airplane mode reset it. Just turn airplane mode on then off again and that should refresh your network settings without wiping them all

If by use it again, you mean put it in another phone, as long as you're using rsim 13 you can use it over and over. You may have to do the code over but you can use the same rsim 13 over and over.

Yeah you only needed to turn it off then back on and am glad you got it figured out. You will not have to entire it again unless you wipe the phone. It use to have you redo it when you upgrade the ios but that seems to be a thing of the past.

I believe so but I'm not 100%. If you were unlocked before the update with rsim 13, I believe you should be grandfathered in. If there is no reason to do it, why bother? Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion.

I would hope the company would supply it to you. The company I bought from did not but when I emailed them they gave the new one. The iccid changes every 2-4 days typically. This is the longest without a change in months so we should have working ones running om here for you when yours gets in just in case.

Yes and no. If Apple patches the loophole, it could lock back up. We never saw that happen before but I rather lead you to the worse scenario than sugar coat it and then something bad happens. This is basically a hack and it should last forever but there is always a chance...

Yes sir it is the current code. I tested it myself just yesterday. It does change often and if it doesn't work let me know and I'll go find another one for the community here.

I don't believe iPads are locked. Not all iPads take sim cards. So first see if yours takes a sim card. If it does, put a random sim card or two into it and make sure it comes up with "sim not supported" screen.

If you see the screen that says "sim not supported" then you can use the rsim 13 I would bet.

Cellular Truth yours was 9966 and the eBay was 7456. I don’t know what but it worked for on my other phone but no this one.

Yes. If you reset it you can keep using the same rsim 13. Depending on when you reset it you my need another iccid but you for sure can use the same rsim on the same model over and over.
