i think you need to calibrate the esc's then the motors will work

Yes actually! So if you have betaflight 4.0 or lower; the TARGET you must flash is on the upper line (for example STM32F411) but if you have betaflight 4.1 or higher i believe, you must flash the target that is on the 2nd line called the BOARD. Im sorry I dont have photos to explain at the moment. Ill send you a video on RU-vid I found that explains it better than me

ZSHREDPJ, I already found the solution. Spoiler alert... the instructions were in the owners manual. (Which most men never bother reading). Emax recommended downgrading the BF app to an earlier version and their website had the correct firmware version (which is slightly different to the built in firmware) and also something called a CLI dump, which pretty much put it back to where it was before I messed around with it. I’m still going to look at the video you linked me to. I’m still not comfortable with Betaflight yet. I only just finished gettin my head around APM Mission Planner

The driver is installed onto your PC. To allow PC to properly connect to FC via USB cable.

Ok I just found it on Mythic Tech's video for the eachine x220 setup. He shows moving the receiver connector to the other side of the FC and a more in depth look at everything in a short time. I feel so...dumb hahaha. hope others find this useful.

Hyperious currently have this issue. plug battery out and radio is screaming at me telemetry lost. battery back in telemetry recovered.... but nothing on the aert and I simply reset everything. you find a solution to this ?

Alp Buğra Gül yeah soldered the wrong pads. One side is ppm and the other is rx

I just solved mine...Check out Mythic Tech's video on the eachine wizard setup...I simply had the receiver connected to the wrong port. I had to move it to the other side of the FC.

same here...bought an Eachine x220 from Banggood and hooked up a x4r receiver. Installed latest cp210x drivers. Flashed recent firmware. Bind successfully but no movement in receiver tab. TRIPLE checked my wiring. Its all good but just not working...

OMG I just found out the problem...Check out Mythic Tech's video...I feel so dumb. I had to move the receiver connection from one side to the other on the FC...

Unfortunately, you probably need a new radio. The Dx6i came out in 08 I believe, and it was only capable of DSM2 protocol, which was the norm back then. Couple years later they came out with version 2, that could use DSM2 and DSMX, which is newer and still used by newer Spektrum receivers. Do you know which one you have? Printing on sides of screen is the easiest way to tell, if it says DSM with a big number 2 under it, on the left and nothing to the right, its the original. Version 2 in the same spot on the left there are 4 little graph bars, like ones that actually light up, to the right of the screen is a giant X in white, with small letters that say DSM. So if you have original, it only works with a handful of receivers in the AR6series. Version 2, although working with DSMX is still older technology, I believe it can be hooked to the newer receivers, but there's a bunch of extra hoops to jump through, Dx6i doesn't do channel mapping and/or mixing, so you have to do something in BF or re-solder a bunch of stuff. Both radios are mostly used by fixed wing and heli pilots. Both were also discontinued last year I believe, so Spektrum doesn't even support them anymore. Sorry to be bearer of bad news, do you intend to stay with the sub 100mm micro quads, or do you think you're going to get some bigger quads too, like a toothpick (around 100mm-120mm) or maybe a 3, 4 or 5inch? (mm is the measurement motor to motor diagonally, 3" or 4" quad refers to prop size.) Even though Spektrum has been in the game a long time, it's hard to go wrong with a Taranis, which are use Frsky receivers. The Qx7 and x9 are the two most popular ones. I use the Qx7 personally, and love it, been out long enough to be able to find good deals on, but will be supported for quite a while. Now if you plan on staying sub 100mm quads, I would look at the Turnigy Evolution, It's small and kind of like xbox/ps4 controller, but very solid, and well built. You set up the quad through radio itself, no need to hook to BF. It has 8 channels, supports sbus ppm, ibus and one other. It has a nice touch screen, only 2 3-way toggle switches, but does have a usb connection, so you can use it with most fpv simulators. Downside is, it's only compatible with flysky compatible receivers (Flysky=Turnigy / Frsky=Taranis, I used to get them mixed up when I got into hobby) which aren't as full featured as Frsky receivers. Also, it's not a good radio if you're a pincher(way you move sticks, opposed to a thumber) I got one just for my micro quads, anything under 110-120mm, I bind up with my Evolution. Best part, brand new, they're only $70-$80! So if you need more radio as you get into the hobby, it's not like you threw away 200-300 bucks for your starter radio. Sorry I rambled, working nights, and hopped up on coffee, hope this helps.

@@sunshynff hi, thanks for the reply. it is very helpful. i've manage to fly my micro with my dx6i after youtube videos and adjusting some settings. i'm leaning to have a taranis next season since cold is fast approaching here in edmonton. and would continue on micro since any heavier than a 250g would need a pilot license. thanks again for the help.

@@MrBungolets No problem, Taranis is a great choice. Since you said you're gonna stay with the micros, let me add one more... If you happen to like the form factor of the Evolution, there is another similar to it, made directly by Flysky, called the Flysky Nirvana. It's a tad bigger than the Evo, but similar game controller style. It's more expensive at about $180-ish, but it is full featured probably comparable to the Qx7. I don't know a lot about them, but reviews so far are pretty positive. So give that one a looksy before you buy. Happy flying!

Are you getting an error? It is likely a driver issue. What is your setup I can maybe help
