This video explains how to diagnose a transmission fault on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The car was stuck in the 4th gear and the rev does not exceed 3,000 rpm. Instead of exceeding 3,000 rpm the car will shut down and next a hard start problem. The error codes P0722 & P0758 where responsible for the transmission fault, while the hard start was caused by P0016 & P0017 in the engine module. This diagnosis was done on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, but same procedure applies to model year 2009 - 2013.
