@@Jxhny.What Curry has ever done to the Lakers? Even in the 2016 record the Lakers lead by Ingram was one of the 9 teams to hand them a L So you get the idea that back in the kd era the Lakers weren't competing with the warriors and when LeBron and Ad arrived so we were competing Every time we faced them we beat them Kicked them out of the play in kicked them out of the playoffs We will get swept by Denver not you lol
KD is obviously an all time great but idk how everyone has him as high as they do. Just feels like having him within three spots of Steph, Hakeem, and Duncan, is crazy. I feel like he hasn’t separated himself from someone like KG, Dirk, West, or Oscar. Feels like the only reason you’d have him over those guys is “vibes”.
In his prime he can guard 1-5, shoot like Bird and can score like a 7ft version of Kobe. offensively you can’t ask him to be a better player . he is having lebron-like longevity. He’s more versatile than all the guys you listed. Like what do you mean ?
KD 2010 - 2015 matters. He finished 2nd in MVP voting 3 times. Beat Dirk and Kobe in the playoffs, averaged 32 in his finals against the Heat. He has been as good as anyone these last 15 years. I realized most people don't know KD before the Warriors.
I mean he did what Lebron did with the decision but instead somehow more cowardly and never won outside of GS and GS didn’t even need him KD just sold out his legacy for some rings
@@vintagemonte The guys listed have more accolades than him with lesser teams. Heck even Giannis and Jokic have surpassed him given how they won their rings and how KD won his. Bus rider for life.
@@jahmalduncan8951i mean, if we are being honest, it is going to impossible for someone to win 6 rings on the same team due to free agency in the modern era. Similarly, parity in the league is at an all time high, and objectively, there is more skill in the league than there ever has been, if we are speaking objectively, Lebron is more skilled than MJ, he just is, and in 20 years, there will be someone more skilled than Lebron, but they might not be as dominant, so all we can really do is compare eras
5:00. That was NBA 2K15. If you score over 70 in a game in MyCareer, David Robinson tweets at you in the Social Media section of the menu to give you kudos while also referencing his 71 point game.
All of the sudden everyone hates Malone. Kinda wierd without any proof. It's kinda like "believing all of whatever you hear" or " #me2" because it's safer than getting caught approving of someone who might have done something 20 years ago. And it just got brought up after the giddy thing. I mean, if he did something, he should have his accolades taken and be publicly shamed. But I think people hate before they get the facts and are scared to be associated with someone over allegations that might have happened like 30 years ago. The public shouldn't judge someone before the courts do. Then again, where's the hate for D₩@d€ everyone knows his sins to be fact?????
@@user-se4tr7cb2mI think this is becoming the new “first” in the Basketball community. Seen this exact comment in another video using the other persons view count.
MJ is simply the greatest combination of Individual accolades. Winning. Stats. Poetry in motion. That feeling calm you get every time you place a bet on him. Just sheer dominance.
the random clips you put in the videos always make me laugh, sometimes I find it hard to find the time to watch the whole video in one go but I just love this channel never stop uploading ❤❤❤
Bron has paved a way for him to be the GOAT in his own way with his longevity, statistical anomalies, and versatility. Same way that MJ paved a way to be the GOAT in his own way with his 6 years of dominance over his peers that no one else has come close to accomplishing. The argument depends on what you value more. Do you want 20 years of statistical greatness, or do you want 6 years of unheard of dominance? Me personally I value MJ’s dominance more
I largely try to stay out of the goat debate because what the goat is means different things to different people, so it's pointless trying to debate with somebody who values different aspects about the game than you. However, I like the idea of taking a large sample size of opinions and making an average list. Seems like the most fair way to take every opinion into account and balance things out with no one point of view dominating the narrative. People are always entitled to their individual opinions obviously, but as far as looking at what the collective generally things, love the idea.
as a person who was bad at basketball till my mid 20s i always loved dirk more than any other player. he is my personal goat no matter what happens forever
Michael Jordan. I think there is no debate here, he clears Lebron comprehensively. In terms of the respect he commanded, MJ was the athlete of the games in 1992 & it wasn't even close. No basketballer has done that before or after in a global multi-sport competition. In terms of NBA influence, there are entire countries that only ever got interested in basketball in the Jordan era, they weren't watching it before and haven't been watching it after. In terms of branding & endorsements, his record speaks for itself. In terms of delivering on court, his record speaks for itself. As for Lebron I struggle to find anything that was in a worse state and has improved for the better.
You want a real tough goat debate. Look no further than tennis. A sport where three of the greatest of all time played in the same era. A sport where there is only an individual against another. As a sports fan I encourage you to look into this topic. I know my goat there but even mentioning it can spark infinite debates. Thus, as a sports fan I’d leave each opinion to its own but again, encourage you to look at the rivalries between all time greats in the span of the past 15 years, it’s wild.
I’ve learned the most hated players are the best people hate seeing someone destroy there team year after year they are loved at first then it gets old seeing them shit on your team ant edwards and sga are in that being loved stage rn
@@logx-ow1uswhat a dumbass logic what about simply when they played together when Shaq was undisputedly the team captain and the main guy he won 3 fmvp in a row and when Kobe started entering his prime and tried to be the new team captain that dynasty died and he got destroyed by the pistons in one of the most inefficient finals ever by an all time great
@@logx-ow1us you just conveniently looked only at what they did separately because when they were together it's clear that Shaq was the bus driver and kobe was riding was the robin was the second in command And even in looking at the not together years you screwed and twisted it to frame it like Kobe and Shaq had the same opportunities without each other Kobe had a dynasty built around him and the goat coach and many superstars Shaq was already on his way out of his prime Kobe was in the middle of his prime or the first half of it in 2005 Kobe was supposed to be better than Shaq in that time frame because he is younger and in his late 20s Shaq was already into his 30s Not to mention Shaq lead his own team when he was younger and made it to the finals and it's the only one to kick Jordan out of the playoffs in the middle of the 90s
@@tpsam the problem with shaq is, he couldn’t play 4th quarters. Honestly, I’m fine if you put him anywhere in the top 10, but I can’t have him that high. It’s just a personal thing.
its either Lebron or Bill Russell, best player or most rings, don't settle for some gambler with 6 rings, at least pick the guy with the most rings or the best, most complete player of all time.
no debate, seriously ? he had so many multi-year breaks and his Washington years were kinda meh. Lebron never did this sh!t and he overall has a better career than MJ. Someone will say that MJ has 2 more rings but he never played against such crazy teams like fully stacked GSW. The Championship against 73-9 Warriors alone is worth more than half of MJs rings.
Ratio kid only 4 chips in 20 with super teams, 5K turn overs leader all time, 4 sweeps in 4 different decades, the biggest finals loser all time...accept it everyone STILL trying to be like GOAT Mike kid nobody want to be like queen james 😂@@SuperSikarlo
I just want for this debate to not be so toxic anymore. It's sad that it just won't go how I think everyone wants it, where people will calm the fuck down about it.
Bro really said he solved something when he just listed random players for half an hour then said Michaels the goat cuz everyone said he is 🎯 what a great video
When bro mentioned smth about the D-Rob text message, I knew he was talking about NBA 2K13 or 2K14 Last gen cuz like, every time I score 71+ points for the first time, that mf David Robinson always tweets me after the game about it 😭😭
maybe i’ll get crucified but im not sure where dirk stands on the all time PF list. KG is better, i hate KM but he is probably slightly better all time, and the greek freak if he stays on this trajectory he will finish higher all time IMO ( this one is hypothetical cause he’s still playing)
MJ is the best player we've seen, and prime kobe got close, but Lebron to me is the GREATEST. He played for longer, has way more records under his name, is a better team player and in my opinion has had a more positive impact on the sport. The fact that he played at an all star level for 20 straight years is an unseen achievement.
1. there is not a controversy...2... lebron IS NOT IN THIS DEBATE... he is outside looking in making the glass steam up with his nose squished against the glass
Just writing down my own top 23 before watching the rest of the video: 23 - Isiah Thomas 22 - David Ronbinson 21 - KG 20 - D-Wade 19 - Karl Malone 18 - KD 17 - Dirk 16 - Dr. J 15 - Big O 14 - The Logo 13 - Moses 12 - Wilt 11 - Hakeem 10 - Curry 9 - Kobe 8 - Bird 7 - Magic 6 - Shaq 5 - Duncan 4 - Russell 3 - KAJ 2 - LBJ 1 - MJ EDIT: Honestly, my man, criticizing Karl Malone and sucking off Kobe in the same video is very hypocritical. Dont get me wrong, Malone is definitely an asshole and his actions are awful, that's true about Kobe too tho.
How are the averages done? If a player has half ranked 1 and half ranked 99, is that average going to be 50 or 1? (Because the 99 won't be on the top 50 list so wouldn't be in the denominator)
@@bananalegend194 No, I was actually quite good at math, I am asking how he's handling the case where a player doesn't even appear on someone's top 50 list. Does it count in the denominator? And if so, what gets counted in the numerator?
@@Richardlizhu oh i get what you mean now, you just worded it weirdly at first, im assuming maybe he just wouldnt put that into the rank average, so just calculating the spots they are on in the rankings theyre in but idk
You are not crazy, I dropped a bunch of points for fun (like 120 or something and it was rookie) and david robinson messaged me that. Also I was playing the Xbox 360 edition so it wasn't through the phone. it was just on the side of your screen.
i've never understood why magic is constantly ranked over bird... they're basically the same player except bird had way more offensive firepower and is probably the clutchest guy in the history of the game.... people might say magic's passing... but that's because that's what he was KNOWN FOR, not because it was better than bird's... in fact, i'll state this fact... bird could make every pass magic made, magic COULD NOT make every pass bird made
Spent almost my entire life rooting for Lebron. The Mark Price Cavs of the early 90s were my first love. For a time I was DESPERATE for Lebron to get vengeance on MJ and become the GOAT. Now I’m desperate for ppl to understand how the media has used the same tricks they use in politics to get the general population to believe BS. By creating this “GOAT debate” after 2016 for ratings and ad revenue, they’ve successfully convinced us he average fan that Lebron has a lock on the “2nd greatest of all time.” The reality is, the more you dive into his career, the less impressive it actually is. Especially if you dive into the career’s and accomplishments of other all time greats. IMO, Tier 1 is MJ, Tier 2 is Magic, Larry, Kareem, Hakeem, Kobe, Bill, Wilt. And Lebron falls into the upper end of the next tier with Timmy, Dirk, Steph…absolutely no shame to be on this tier, but bc of these disingenuous media conglomerates who hit a jackpot with their stupid “debate” shows, now simply telling the truth about LeBron qualifies you as a “hater”
The most talking debate in last 15 years is about the real football and its between messi and cr7 and the gout of basketball is mj no matter what anyone said
