With the top countries we're receiving legal immigrants from being China, India, Mexico and the Philippines I wonder how well they're really assimilating and if they really share our values. I used to work for Indians and they didn't seem interested in assimilating at all. Very suspicious, and controlling of their employees. They spent most of their time spying on them and no one was allowed to have "personal conversations ". They also didn't follow the laws very well and were racist towards non Indians. I think they need to go back to their own county. I live in sweden, which has taken in so many muslim refugees that the number is approaching 20% of the population. They are not assimilating either. Many of them are actually growing more distant from swedish society in the next generation. This is happening in a country which has historically had almost no immigration for over a thousand years. Demographics matter in a democratic country. In the span of just a few generations, if nothing changes, sweden will become a muslim-majority country, and i think you can guess what the muslims will do with that power. No more sweden.

When the Ethiopians first came they did try to assimilate and learn the language. The ones I met (I was an English tutor) were very polite and willing to learn. When the Somalis came... well, you can see what happened. I miss my home state of Minnesota very much. I'd love to go back but I'd rather remember what it was like before it became New Somalia.
