Some Advice to the Muslim Women Lecture by Khalid Yasin 

I'm not even Muslim and this is my first time watching a lecture. I must say this is a beautiful message.

I came from Instagram to listen to the full lecture. Alhamdulillah I found so much barakah in this message. I'm not sure why some are finding it "disgusting" or whatever other negative comments they've used. If we all listen to the message with an open heart we will see the value and the beauty in it. May Allah subhana wa ta'ala reward brother Khalid Yasin as well as those who posted this video, ameen.

I reverted to Islam one month ago and I could not be happier, alhamdulilla for everything. I am 15 years and I am a thankful muslimah. I love my hijab and it makes my day to make dawah every chance I can and to tell everyone about the beauty and truth of Islam insha Allah. Alhamdulillah for the chance to do so. :)

Im Muslim woman and honestly let me tell you im sooooooooooo proud to a Muslim, when i wake up in the morning i say thank you God you guided me to be a Muslim, let me tell you Prophet Muhammed said peace be upon him, best of you is the one who is good to his wife, May Allah guide to Islam.

This lecture gives me the courage and happiness to want to become a Muslim woman 🫶🏾🙌🏾

Im an american man, im listening and this is a very good talk. Both for I and the Women.

Perfume for women in public is not allowed as advised by Prophet Muhammad (saws) however at home for their husband and family it is OK inshallah. You can speak to your local Sheikh about this issue and reason.

As a revert in America, I have to say that as a 23 year old I would have never believed that one day I would say that Sheikh Kalid Yaseen knows how to make a marriage successful. Now - I say Mashallah, this man knows and speaks the truth. Allah swt has given us the perfect formula for a happy successful marriage. No brain washing was necessary to believe this either. I only wish my muslim husband would love Islam the way I do.

Thank you. I converted a month ago..I believe that in any religion, there are radicals. I have taken some heat from family bc they are not knowledgeable of the Quran..Ive told them to read, then make judgement..All religions have ppl who dont go by the book they chose to follow, ppl do what they chose to do, then attach themselves to a Holy Book, then the world pick and chose and make judgement for the actions of some..Ive been looking for answers as to the behavior of the Muslim Women, and I appreciate your teachings.

Màashaa Allah if we westerners especially the women should heed to his advice, the world will definitely be a better place. Marriage is no joke we should learn to adapt to its circumstances. No one can change a person overnight but with prayer, sweet talk, and patience, Allah will always make it better for us.

Personally i don't have a problem with polygamy for as long as the 2nd wife is a level headed woman not dramatic, and mentally / emotionally matured, I do agree with Sheikh Khalid that polygamy can actually benefited us sisters if only we have enough emotional maturity to accept it... Allah knows best.. JazakAllah khair for sharing.

I converted to Islam almost two years ago. I listen to other imams and ustadhs. They are energetic and charismatic and educated. But i feel sometimes their deliverence is for the crowd to find appealing. For a stubborn person like me, you, brother, have taught me many lesson in just this one lecture. Jazakallah khair. I hold myself to a higher standard as of now. As an ummah we need the truth, not a celebrity sheikh that tells us the thinga we want to hear.

"Be the best wife to him and wont need to do those thing"... What does her being a good wife have anything to do with her husband doing those disgusting actions. It has nothing to do with her being a good or bad wife, its the fact that her husband has a horrible habit. He isnt watching those things because she isn't a good wife its because he want to! That comment seriously pissed me off!!!

Sheikh I agree with most of what you say, but you should leave a disclaimer. Barring a woman from speaking about the ills of her husband may doom her to staying silent in an unhealthy situations, maybe he physically and emotionally abuses her and she is seeking guidance. Let us not train girls to keep their mouths shut without context.

Look to the life of Prophet Muhammad and how he treated his women. He was the best of husbands.

... I for polygamy, but knowing myself I run through the back door and wish the best for my sister and her future co wives.

Ok I'm using my husband account right now. However, I don't understand way are women upset with the messenger? If what the brother is saying is coming from Quran and Sunnah (prophet Muhammad) then what's the problem? If his advice is unislamic then complain. Sisters need to check themselves and their own behavior and issues. I don't care if the message is coming from a child, a cat or a dog...if its correct and good and in accordance with Islam, I'm accepting it.

And if it was Prophet Muhammad (saw) giving this lecture would these women be so bold with their comments? He is giving dawah.... Do his role as a muslim leader/speaker. There are female speakers and I can tell you first hand they are more straight forward, blunt and in your face than this man. He is softer in his speech h compared to some muslim female speakers.

you can't change a bad man the end. Change comes from within. There is only so much you can influence a man.

I'm betrothed to a wonderful brother. I told him he could take another wife after we're married (there's a possibility that I couldn't bare children) but let me choose her for him. He refused 😣

Let me tell you something no matter how good a woman can be to her husband if he wants to cheat and do all that he’s going to do it my husband did that to me I changed my life completely to be a good Muslim woman but he let me down all for lust and wanting more . Islam is a perfect religion for both men and woman but it’s our nuffs that control the weak . But Allah is the best of planners don’t give up keep your faith because from my experience Allah will never leave you alone just keep the faith strong without Allah I don’t think I could of made it though that situation . I have a lot of respect for this lecture may Allah reward you for your beautiful lecture and keep reminding us of our duty .

yes, I liked lectures a long time ago by other people as well. Dawood Adeeb used to have some nice lectures, I don't know if they are available anymore. There are many good speakers. This is just one of many lectures out there about women, and as he says at the start, he chose this topic bcos of time constraints. So we should keep that in mind, too. Some comments believe that it is up to women to be the patient and obedient wives.But it is very true relationships require a lot of cooperation.

shiek khalid said the displeasure of the husband is next to the displeasure of allah and that wives should always try to treat their husbands well mashallah i was just wondering does it work both ways? so is the displeasure of the wife next to the displeasure of alla? i also had the same question when shiek khalid said if your husband goes to bed angry with you the angels will curse you all night is it also vice versa? thnx and mashallah i rlly loved this lecture thanks for putting it up!!!!

Tough for me. As I am taking my Shahadah this Saturday, but my husband of 13 years is not religious, though he lets me do whatever I choose. How to resolve without Islamic authority if he does not see it as authority?

no it doesnt contradict. He loved wearing perfume himself and loved for his women to wear perfume for him in their homes.

The Golden advice and really informative,we know our value very well ineeded and know that our commitment to Allah truely ,is what makes us agreat blissing in every good Allah fearful and i am so greatful that Allah granted me the love of islam & refusing to settle than less than what please ALLAH, and above i am so proud that Allah gives special blessing previlage only a good muslim woman can provide to her family : Allah bless a man who married to good muslims woman and removes his worries in life, gives him everything he needs in life and with bless his life because of her & in other life he grant him paradise and praise him infront of people of paradise and she become way more beautiful than( hoor al ain the women of paradise) and one hoorain woman is more beautiful than whole earth women together that if she spited on occasions she would turn them to honey and when see a good muslim woman beauty they ask Allah and say you gave us the greater share of beauty to please paradise men how they are more beautiful than us and Allah replies: i created them on earth testested them with hardships and ordered him to pray , fast and worship me and they did it helped them selfs to my road and paired its harships for my sake and today they shall be favorites with my rewards. (its rightous Hadeeth Gotssy ), what a previlage indeed . P.s: jealousy is part of nature but the problem that the kind of women men deal with isnt good muslims women most of them the damnd satan serving type /using sorcery type and will bring Allah rage and cause troubles that eventually break home and above all Allah will rage upon me if i accepted him or remain with him after knowing he deals with these type does that makes me jealous 😂 no Sir this self protection and Allah is the first one who will agree and bless my life for rejecting the satan troops and who bring and impose them in my life this aint jeoulsy and if a husband considered and kept dealing with such type that makes him damned and seducted to hell simply & leaving him is a grace in this case but if they picks good comitted muslim woman whos polite and know their boundaries i would jealous ofcourse but i will control it and accept because that please Allah this the healthy case beside that is men Allah recall a beleiver knows that it must be accepted despite of self feeling and this is the core of true believing. I dont want a non good to Allah man even if he can give me the world & more hansdome than saint joseph and i will fight this type off my life this type even if i have to shoot him dead to keep him away from me & untill Allah stop me or show me that they valid to allow them in. its funny - do you sorta see that Allah (swt) is replacing those born Muslim who dont want Islam with reverts who found Islam the hard way, but are 100000 times more sincere that those born into it? I agree with everything the shaykh says but I don't believe polygamy is for everyone. Some women can't handle it and I don't believe that they have to accept it.

also what doesit mean exactly that the displeasure of the husband is next to allah? just want to make sure i understandand if the wife disrespects her husband and he goes to bed angry with her, what if the situation was reversed and the husband disrespects his wife and she goes to bed angry with him wouldn't allah be equally displeased at both situations, i don't understand why it matters if women are overemotional if the husband does something wrong isn't allah displeased with him just as much?

He is a respectable scholar but I'm sorry how are you saying that if a woman has her own job and wants to divide the Labour between her and her husband, then she wouldn't be able to help her family? Plus, in this day and age both parents need to work to ensure they have a good amount of money to live on. A woman could work AND raise her children up with the support of her husband. I don't think it's frankly fair to add generalised statements about how women would react to having a job. If you back it up with hadith and verses then fine but if it's simply your own opinion then that says a lot. Also, I do believe that raising children is important as a woman but who does it really help if the father isn't active in raising them up as well. Maybe not with very young children as someone has to generate an income but when the kids are at school age surely she can pursue work and still be prominent in her kids life. Btw I wouldn't equate my self as a feminist before anyone DEEMS me so.

May the sisters listen and obey Allah swt ala commands and not the culture which is on an epidemical destructional course of Islam in so many aspects.

True very true none could have said that any wiser. Its sad because the media see this and think this is islam. When its culture and even its culture that the Quran says to avoid at all costs.
