😁You are a lucky guy to have a helper like Sara. She is always eager to help her Dad out with all the work. Now I am not there to see or hear her complaining but she always seems to be in good mood. She also looks better without the welding helmet on. We can see her smile more often and that's nice to see. God bless that little angle.

I can see it now, Sara is running planter this year, and then she will be on the chopper. That way the senior members can take it a little bit easier.

I'm going to me I'd love to see how every inch of it works how it goes together how it comes apart but I understand it you do a lot of you know teaching and instructional videos but I know that's not the primary use of your Channel but I do learn a lot but little bit you do show when you do show it I learn a lot so appreciate all that great Channel love it keep up the good work God bless

Some window washing definitely is in order for manure crew. Could tell that was gonna definitely happen from your tone. I’d have to say I’m guessing Sarah probably doesn’t spend much time sitting around and will enjoy pulling these vids up 10 to 20 years from now and showing her kids. Sounds like she’s ready to turn some dirt and get back to her office with a view. Keep up the good work Andy.

Andy, you do an awesome job showing everyone, all the work, time, energy and money, that goes into the family farm. Most people don't have a clue. They believe, especially those living in a city, their food magically is on their store's shelf. From out of the stores back room. I grew up on the farm. Using John Deere Tractors and equipment. For me, it was a B, a 50 and a 60. Working 2 rows at a time. We have another part in common. I was a volunteer firefighter/EMT too. Then I took a different path. I was a career firefighter/paramedic for more than 25 years. You have an awesome family. Keep up the great work. Thank you for sharing your family farm life with us. I found this very interesting, seemed like when you throw in labor the new heads looks really good. Hopefully they even give you a warranty! I have no idea what I will do with this newly acquired knowledge of the mid-life upgrade of a piece of ag equipment, but now I have it. I can tell you that the differences in sophistication between ag equipment and aircraft worth the same price are getting smaller and smaller.

You do an excellent job explaining things. There's nothing wrong with repetition lol. That corn planter project actually looks like it could be a fun and interesting project hooking up the new wiring harnesses and what not. I think I see a new case of Kroil sitting there. I was wondering if you liked that stuff enough to get more. It doesn't look like you can buy it off the website anymore so I've been getting it from McMaster

If the want to run with back window open have them run an open station. It's fun if you get to run them occasionally, but when you have to run them cab a/c and heat is real nice a lot better than taking a clump of mud or something off beaters to back of head

Glad you were able to get your upgrade kit. Hope all the parts are there. Don’t think Deere has the ability to lift the row. We usually install upforce spring kits to lighten the row. The row cleaners will be able to go up and down. Hope you were able to get a Gen4 display to run this planter.

It's seems expensive but has be done, Planting season just right around the corner. It definitely shows you maintain your equipment. Sarah isn't afraid of work she gets right in ther. You got a good helper. Where's Andrew been hiding? Haven't seen him in a while. Great explanation on the Planter. Enjoy your shop videos. I'll look you up at the next one. Stay safe!!

I know that this is a big undertaking on the planter but you will really like it. I did a 16 row last year and it was a picket fence stand. So smooth operating.

Andy, check into Hyland Machine, Madison, SD to refurbish those planter parallel arms, etc !! Major $ savings over new. Madison is my hometown.

Andy that’s a lot of work but those Deere electric units are amazing. It’s so easy to adjust population with a touch of the screen I had the idea for DC powered units in 1975. I went to a friend that is an electrical engineer. He said no one should pay the price for that precision. Alas another fortune lost!!

That’s correct, each row can be populated at any rate o the fly

You and Sara are working on the planter like pro’s. You and Sara will have to run the planter in two shifts.

I think you as the boss should have a team meeting and suggest that as your boss I would think you guys would take more pride in the nice equipment you drive especially if you're driving and get in a accident you just might get a ticket not being able to see out the windows with the window covered in liquid manure and you want to see windows cleaned after checking the oil the new change !

I have to say Sarah is a good hard worker.
