Some Colleges Cancel Commencement Ceremonies Amid Protests 

I lost my high school graduation to covid. I'm now losing my college graduation.

Can we stop calling this protesting?

The professor of economics was interfering with an arrest, was asked to step away several times, never did and in the end was arrested.

"Protesting" is not a synonym for "riot." Some people need to understand this.

Protesting academic institutions over a war between neighboring countries on the opposite side of the globe is irrational.

This is unfair to those students, the school should not give in to those protestors, they need to give them an ultimatum that they have to stop the protests for graduation or they will be expelled or arrested if they don’t clear out by graduation

How about going on with the ceremonies and expelling any student that disrupts it,press charges on anyone not affiliated with the university,and banning all of them from campus with a court order.Have the riot police and national guard on hand to enforce it.Its not fair to anyone else to let this clown show disrupt any of their activities.

Protesting is really pointless. Let people continue their studies in peace. Protest somewhere else that's more meaningful, like the White House.

I am SO glad I never went to an Ivy League school. I also applied to Northwestern and didn't get in at the time. Not getting in to those schools was a blessing in disguise. If I were those kids, I would leave now.

What’s next losing promotions in work or marriages in relationships because of another chaotic madness. The difference between America Jews and Israelis Jews is that American Jews won't stand and fight together, and Israelis Jews will stand up together to stand and fight. The Jewish federation has failed, Chabbad's and the JCC have failed. I'm a jew who has been attacked out of pure hatred both physically and mentally in need of help. I have fought back protecting myself and has put my life on the line to protect fellow Jewish brothers and sisters while all the Jewish organizations and other Jewish people have refused to help me. In the Torah, it states that no fellow Jewish person shall turn their back on another Jew yet it keeps happening. My sister lives in Israel, and the community actually came together to help me out with what they could, yet the Jewish community in America, as I've been struggling, have turned their backs on me!

So parents paid an outrageous premium so their children could get a worthless piece of paper. The universities won't even have a picture taking moment? It's time to cancel universities and go back to teaching kids a trade.
