My third comment, I just want to thank you, Alfred! We greatly appreciate what you do. You were out here for Ian and you are out here again, sparing your time and kindness. You are a good samaritan for sure!!!! Thanks for all you do!
We all appreciate you showing us the perspective of a true Floridian. Just like Fishman Joe said, don’t trust the media. Be safe out there and God bless the people affected with the hurricane. And yes, I will be contributing to some relief efforts as all subscribers should.
Please explain to your friend the entire world is watching florida. And we are sending contributions, and prayers because of the media. Just like Hawaii fires and other catastrophies.
Alfred, when you went through the mobile home park, on Canada Street I actually rented a mobile home there for about 6 months. Years later I ended up living up the street just off the bay with the canal running through my backyard. It's called Bayshore gardens.
Thank you for your video! In the beginning, you were talking to your friend on the phone & came to a 4 way intersection of a main road where the stop lights were out & you didn't stop. Please, please, please for your safety & other's make sure you & anyone watching this, stop at 4 ways when power is out & stop lights not working! You never know when someone from the other direction is doing the same thing & it could end up bad! I had a friend who was a passenger that was killed in the same situation as the driver thought it was so early & after a storm. You never know! Please be safe & thank you for your videos!
Thank you so much for your help! Many prayers for all those affected & especially all the first responders!! Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS (My mom & I were EMTs), and 911 Dispatchers (my daughter was one for 19+ yrs). They are a special breed who stay in harms way for others.
Thank you so much Alfred for letting me see this kind of damage this is stuff that we don't normally see on the news it's so heartbreaking that couple has worked hard all their life and to have a home away from home be damaged . We deal with tornadoes here in Wisconsin in fact we had a bad one hit about a mile from my house in June
Alfred have friends on Okeechobee lake community that got hit by all the tornadoes from Milton. They are safe but unable to go check on their Home. TY Brother St. Augustine.
Alfred I'm new to your Channel. I saw a lot of RU-vid channels covering what's going on down there in Florida I even did a video on it myself but, I joined your channel because I can see the sincerity, I can see that you're honestly and jingly concerned about the people and when you went into that woman house and when she allowed you to come in her house that was so endearing. I'm praying for you my brother God bless you for all the things that you do I will be honored to stay on your Channel, Good Bless Keep up the good work.❤❤❤❤
The lady in the mobile home had a great idea of putting her china in the dishwasher. I love that idea! I will start doing that. Thank her for the idea if you can!
You should have written down your information for her. I doubt she will remember because they look like they were in shock and despair about the damages caused. She was so trusting too to allow you in her home. I hope no one takes advantage of these people in these trying times. I am praying for everyone affected 🤲
I am from Pakistan and I greatly appreciate you bringing the latest information about the hurricane Milton's destruction. It's a very painful situation in Florida.
I feel so bad for these people, my heart goes out to them. Alfred those heavy cables below the thin power lines are phone cable. You stay safe. Thanks for these views, hard to fathom here in northern CA.
My friend, it's not just Floridians that are concerned about these storms. I'm in Chicagoland; and i have dozens of friends, and 3 generations of family living in Florida. They're in the north, south and both east/west coasts.
Thank you for getting out there and show us ...Thank for saving the turtle ..who was there when you said : dude this where it was ??? Who was there ? Dude
wow you are in my former hometown, now im homesick :( prayers for these people down there. its awful. BTW, at 8:54 that is Weather Channel Jim Chartone lol
Most fortunately, it was not as bad as Ian. WIth the exception of the satan spawned tornadoes, most things are in tact. The winds were not as bad and it seems noone got the kind of storm surge that Ian brought. Thank LORD JESUS!!!! THere were LOTS of prayers for Florida. God hears us🙏🙌🙌
If I were going to live in Florida in would be in a cement house with 10 foot thick walls that was completely round and 30 feet off the ground, and had windows that were cannon proof. You have to build a home that lasts through a storm, a hurricane, a tornado. Concrete pylons, concrete footings that are 20 feet wide and 50 feet deep. It can be done, it must be done.
A Victorian engineered sea swept lighthouse is basically what you are describing. Some of them are going on 200 years of being battered by wind and waves.
I am so happy that that person that you’re talking to on the phone said that stuff about everything about the news he is absolutely correct but people still there and watch it. I feel bad for them. I really do I feel bad for the people watching TV news. Thank you for saying that they are toxic. Good job buddy you’re a patriot.
Moved from Sarasota 4 years back. Watching my ol bicycle routes along the Marina Jacks/O'Leary's destroyed is painful. We rode out Irma and soon moved. 8 years of hurricane roulette was enough. Shout out to Sixer , My fishing associates all along Lido , Van weisel , 10th st.boat launch , Lemon bay , casperson park , and all along the ringling bridge. God bless and good luck y'all from the lake of the ozarks Missouri!
In Florida you have people living like a king and the next day after a storm/hurricane/, you are homeless with nothing but the cloth on your back. I just will never understand how people can live like that 24/7--365.
Years ago, a "small tornado" came through my community; on the ground maybe 10 minutes. I went out with my chainsaw to see if i could rescue anyome or cut trees off of cars/homes...I found lots of people around a garage that had a tree blocking the door and on the roof. I said i can help if the owner approved. A man said:"this is my house; but the garage flew in from somewhere; broke the tree landing there.
Alfred, where you're at at Sarasota bayfront is north of siesta key. Do you have to go to southbound 41 to gulfgate and turn right what to go over the bridge to the north side of siesta.
My daughter and son in law got stuck there in sarasota with my two grandaughters. They had a flat tire so couldnt leave. What a vacation in the family home eh
Well Alfred either you weren’t around with Andrew or you don’t remember that there were no leaves left on any trees with a left especially in Cutler Ridge. Franco & Caribbean Blvd the concrete signal poles were completely gone. I feel for these people but very lucky it wasn’t much more devastating!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏
And Alfred you know what Ron DeSantos said You are responsible for your own debris I couldn't believe that I'm so sorry for all that has happened because of Milton
Hey Alfred, Thank you for the Video! I'm looking for a stay free mini pad for all my You-Tube Pals and you, about a $10million Nice place with about 10,000 sqrft without too much sand inside, 10 acres and a enough dock for two 50 foot Boats a boat lift would be really good, indoor pool, Natural Gas & A/C, 6+ Bedroom but, I am not married to it & I'll go for less for the right space; $10,000? See what you can find for me will ya?!!!
If you live in a moble home this is what's going to happen people so expect it sometime.its only matter of when.I myself WOULDNT EVER live in an area where this could happen. 😢
With all due respect; the worst hit areas of the state will most likely be where the tornadoes hit. I helped with post tornado reclamation; whole homes for a mile gone to the foundations.
That’s not a turtle that is a endangered gopher tortoise that lives on dry ground digging burrows in sandy areas, the tortoise is seeking dry land. They cannot swim very well and die, drown if it cannot get back on dry ground. Sadly you made a bad mistake by accident. Hopefully it can get back to the road or something above the water.
lets pretend i donated to hurricane relief in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and then helene and now milton. lets pretend that i live in an area that has a lot less chance of natural disasters. im totally aware that this isnt a "nice" comment, but at what point should i be thinking that maybe people shouldnt be living in places where hurricanes slam them 2 times in 1 week? i love FL, but you cant just live there and expect everyone else to donate to you, especially when you dont want to expand medicaid. especially when you believe in personal responsibility. especially when youre a fishman joe, and just want relief for yourself, but hate the weakest among our society. even if we didnt consider any of the last parts, at what point should people be either leaving or accepting the risks on their own?
You’re a piece of shit. What about people living where earthquakes are common? What about places where wildfires (often man made) run rampant? Tornado alley? Maybe we should all just live off the continent. Some of us were born here. Some of us can’t afford to move. You can either pay to relocate everyone or shut the fuck up. You can vote blue or shut the fuck up bc it’s the republicans withholding aid. I genuinely hope you lose everything. Your car, your job, your home and NO ONE helps you ever. Have the fucking awful life you deserve.
Exactly, why are folks living close to the beach or in a low lying area prone to flooding. The biggest question should be why does the government allow people to rebuild in these areas. Why are people living in tin foil homes in Florida? Is the Insurance Company going to compensate them? I wonder how many people could afford flood or wind damage insurance for a mobile home. So many questions and no answers. Now that Desatan is criminalizing the homeless what’s going to happen with all these homeless people now 🤔
I mean I’m a Floridian and even I agree there a certain parts of my beautiful home state that is not meant to be inhabited by people. It belongs to Mother Nature. She’s kindly reminded you time and time again. The amounts of people who have moved here in the last 7 years also is crazy. They keep building homes in areas to accommodate these new comers thst have been wet lands for thousands of years.
My insurance company canceled my policy after 40+ years of never having a claim, due to the high fire danger in the area that I live in. That's what will happen. The insurers will stop insuring, and the lenders will stop lending.
The amount of destruction your showing doesn't even compare to what I've seen. First 20 min no damage I switched to the previous video where it was total destruction of the keys and land had actually been washed away and changed coast line
