I went for a lift motor room visit there a few weeks ago, the orange car park lifts that have been modernised last year (2022) uses TVC Ethos Two controllers with Ziehl Abegg ZA rec 4 frequency inverter, Alberto Sassi G500 T1 gearless machines. They used to go up to 1.6 m/s when they were original but they have now been reduced to 1 m/s because of the current code when they needed to have certain head rooms in the lift shaft and certain pit depths which they haven’t got. And why the vega voice announces every floor which can be annoying is because they are complying to the equality act e.g. it helps with visually impaired people can hear where they are and where they are going to go. They will also be removing the panachrome door sensors on the lift on the left hand side as that system is misfiring on anything it seen that also causes to keep the doors open for too long, so they will now be replaced with 2d systems which is used on the right hand side lifts. The green car park lifts are going to be modernised in June or July time next year (2024) and the glass hydraulic lift will be modernised last after the escalators at around (2027 or 2028).
