You are a great man. You made this accessible to my mother and I in a moment when it mattered the most. I made her laugh Oh, by watching your film. Thank you thank you thank you
I'm an old guy that's been a fan of this movie since it came out, and if you are curious about the romantic theme (part of Adolph Deutsch's score) that is sort of a motif to go along with Marilyn's romanticism, it's 'Stairway to the Stars' (if you'd like to hear it sung), Glenn Miller adapted it from the 1934 instrumental 'Park Avenue Fantasy', written by Matty Malneck and Frank Signorelli, and it also pops up in old movies now and then. It haunted me (pleasantly) for decades before I figured out what it was! Best regards to you and your mother!
1:47 The composition and staging of this chase scene is so good, silly, and humourous. 2:17, the way they open up the car ceiling to reveal hidden firearms, and how 2:41 there are platoon cops hanging off a single car like it's a clown troupe.
Tony Curtis just died at age 85 in his home in Nevada. May God bless his soul. I am watching this movie in his honor today, as I am not very familiar with his work and am keen on watching the talent of this great actor!
That's the great Paul Frees as the funeral parlor director. I was very surprised by his cameo the first time I saw this movie! (He also provides the voice of Josephine.)
Some people have no respect for the dead some people don't have respect for the living either . They made good films . In they days no computers or technology in these films .
@Jessmira23 That's correct. Paul Frees dubbed Josephine's voice. It wasn't that uncommon back then for high profile voiceover actors like Frees to come in and "clean up" dialogue readings that weren't up to the director's or studio's standards. Frees did this for a number of movies.
Lest u think speakeasy raids are a thing of the past, I went to an illegal rave in the late 90s it was SCARY. My then bf had a joint idk how but he managed to discard it right before the fuzz caught up We had to get on the floor music off. Some idiot tried to take a picture the cop snatched his camera was like "u have some nerve!"
Thank you for uploading this movie, it's a very funny movie that I really enjoyed watching. Just wished you didn't add the annoying into to every part of the movie. But thanks anyway.
imagine being Francesca and proudly advertising your name alongside something you plagiarised, better hope your very professional job doesn't find out!

Found out not too long ago St Valentine's Day 💕💓💓massacre happened in North Chicago, near Clark and Diversey (now a largely gay neighborhood and my job was in that area) same general place where I spent my childhood. Working at the health food store I walked past the site of SVDM every day that explains a lot!
