I love so much that people have their own opinions! I listening and loving mel 8 years and i never hate on her! Im pretty sure that people called it a meet and greet because of the interactive portals photo experience label. They probably just assumed it mean’t “meet and greet with Melanie” like most people who don’t read things before buying something.
They not “rude” they has anxiety, they are actually letting people know that they feel uncomfortable and says something about it. They are honest and they LOVVVVEEEEEE their fans, they just want personal space. Plus, they have to put on their nymph suit, mask, makeup, and costume over the suit. Personally, I think it’s unnecessary to get mad at them for the VIP because you don’t NEED to buy it, and most people do know that they are shown on an AI. Just respect them, they have gotten a lot of hate just for having their own opinion and not being scared to tell people to move.

oh, I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to say anything directly to you, I just like pointing out my opinion on things like these incidents where people think they are “ RUDE TO THEIR FANS “ or “ MAKING PERFUME TOO EXPENSIVE “ etc, again, this isn’t supposed to be personal to you, nor anyone I just wanted to point out that they aren’t being or even trying to be anything like that. Some Melanie Martinez fans are horrible and rude to her.They pressure her when she spends days working on albums and songs just for her fans to ask for more.And she tries to make a MV for every song she writes, she even made a entire move which took her years to make and her fans are still pressureing her.And when portals came then her fans started calling her "weird" "creepy" and stuff like that.And Melanie gets so much hate even though she puts so much hard work in her music and ppl aren't even grateful for it they just wait for her to make music so they can start pressureing her to make more and more. And like that one video Melanie wasnt being "mean" or "rude" she just had anxiety and she was uncomfortable with ppl taking her pictures without asking. Ppl shouldn't hate on her for having emotions she's literally a human just like everyone else but ppl do treat her like a robot or a doll. Idk but some Melanie fans are horrible to her. Like ppl we're literally BURNING her merch just because she was uncomfortable with taking a pic with her fans! She even said sorry like 3 times bc she didn't want to be mean but ppl still thought she was being rude. Melanie deserves better she works so hard to make good music!She shouldn't get hate for being uncomfortable with being put in spotlight.I hope some Mel fans that are mean to her see this and they will understand that Melanie isn't a robot or a doll. ❤

The burning of the merch happened before the investigations of fans, which imho, timothy heller might have been raped by melanie martinez, just cus fans wanted to go through the dates doesn't mean it didn't happen. A lot of melanie fans tend to be ignorant of the psychology of rape victims. Am i defending timothy? No. Am i defending melanie? No. But some fans finding out that melanie may have been innocent felt bad for burning the merch. But even i was shocked to find out. Physically sick to my stomach. I think that the mask is really hard to set up and stuff and probably hundreds/1k ppl will buy vip tickets so that’s why she didn’t do a meet and greet- she would’ve done it if she didn’t have a reason not to- back in crybaby tour there’s was maybe 6k ppl coming to her tour but now there’s 35-25k ppl so meet and greets are pretty hard

Mel loves her fans, the real true ones who actually love her for her 🩷 Everyone gets frustrated and overwhelmed sometimes, and I think everytime she was considered “rude” was a totally understandable reaction. I’d be mad if random people interrupted me, or took photos of me without my consent, or complained about things I couldn’t control. Ticket prices are high because of inflation and her label, Melanie has no control over it whatsoever!
