480 employees getting paid vs mentoring 20 women and one possibly alleges assault leaving 480 families homeless. That's 480 women and their kids who depend on Daddy's paycheque. They get to live for the small price of upper management not mentoring strong independent women who could eventually do it themselves. Logically I choose the 480. Logically, I do not think independent women would consider the well being of others and the risk that cones with indulging their preference.

@@ginniserena I'm assuming you are talking about abortion that was decriminalized in the 70s? Is that what you're referencing in 2019? Something that was decriminalized before I was born so has absolutely no effect on today's political climate? Or, are your referencing planned parenthood because you want the federal government to give out free abortions? I'm confused because I thought the conversation was about inappropriate behavior and not abortions. The ever shifting argument positions are confusing to the rational.

So after that, I never talked to her, not even to help her with work unless it’s required. Better Bachelor has a recent video of an article by a woman who started her own company and hired only women to work there. It went bankrupt in 2 years due to all the constantly declining productivity. This was because the staff (it was a media production company) spent increasing amounts of time quarreling over nonsense and divided into 2 camps, which the manager the CEO hired wouldn't put her foot down, and the CEO herself thought it would be detrimental to be hard with creative women. She found out the hard way that women are, in fact, each other's worst enemies. It took 2 years, but she was taught that lesson. The hard way. So much time and energy went toward catfights and bickering (and the inevitable manifestations that follow), work quality dropped off and they fell behind in production. Obviously, nobody is going to contract with a company that does substandard work and can't get it completed on time.

My company removed all women years ago and re-hired a whole new staff & has a strict under-the-table "no hiring females" rule. It was a well calculated & well timed move just before the "me too" movement became mainstream. We hit the re-set button and started fresh again. Now in 2020, all the employee's are men and can safely work from their condo's during the pandemic. Business slowed down a little bit but not to a grinding halt.. and at least all of my employee's have told me their condo's are fully paid off thanks to turning the company around years before the pandemic.

@@gonegirl4690 "Justice Kavanuagh's place in history", did he fight and win some epic battle in a war I'm unaware of? Don't you think that "place in history" is a tad melodramatic for a man nominated purely for his prior views on presidential indictment? Unless of course you refer to his oscar winning endorsement for beer - because that was certainly historic, if more than slightly unhinged.
@mnomadvfx
@mnomadvfx 5 лет назад
@@gonegirl4690 Virtually permanent? Now I know you are being melodramatic. Roe v Wade was established 46 years ago - almost half a century, and it is about to be overturned - which makes your statement about the permanence of anything Kavanaugh has done, or will do somewhat optimistic at best. The only legislature truly virtually permanent is the constitution itself - though I would say it could do with revisiting, considering its age at this point. Circling back to that "place in history" remark, its more likely that people will remember him for being nominated as a Trump defending toady than anything else, just like William Barr - he all but simpered like a court jester to him on national television after his confirmation. On the other hand, his performance at the hearing practically become a running joke about overindulging in alcohol, so he will definitely be remembered for that too - in the age of the internet that kind of stuff never goes away.
@mnomadvfx
@mnomadvfx 5 лет назад
@@gonegirl4690 Also, Trotsky and Stalin were separated less than a year by birth, hardly apt for 'eating their young'. @mnomadvfx
@mnomadvfx 5 лет назад
@@gonegirl4690 I get that 'Eat their Young' is figurative, and Trotsky was neither a follower of Stalin nor even someone that agreed with him for the most part, hence the murder. It could even be argued that Trotsky was a true leftist, and Stalin was no more than a sham leftist using the communist party as a ladder to power. Stalin was a dictator terrified of losing his power through assassination, which makes your statement comparing him to the democrats more than a little strange in light of the fact that the closest US politics has come to him was either J. Edgar Hoover, or Joe McCarthy - both of which were republican I might add. If you really think that the political maneuvering of the american political left rises to the level of a genocidal dictator, you may have some kind of persecution complex going on there, one clearly shared by many on the right. If I have graduated from law school or not was immaterial to my original point about his "place in history", which referred to Kavanaugh's place in history in the common sense rather than that of the law itself. The 99.5% of americans that are not lawyers and/or politicians do not bother with the law, until they absolutely need to, the expensive fees guarantee this much as a constant across the world. Whether it impacts the wider US population or not, they are unlikely to know or care what Kavanaugh has done, or will do beyond the confirmation hearing last year - until it directly affects their own lives, such as overturning Roe v Wade. I never claimed to have been a lawyer in my original post, though you have done so yourself with zero proof to back up your own claim I might add - color me a little bit pessimistic, but I don't quite believe someone who claims to be a lawyer that defended a CEO, and is married to another would be writing random comments and responses on RU-vid. Any of the law related information you have included in your responses could be found using google, if Kavanaugh is as historic and illustrious as you say. Your responses generally come off as catfishing rather than expert knowledge gracing the comment section. Basically a slightly more intelligent white-washed knock off of the old nigerian prince scam.

I am courteous, respectful and mind my own work, but i completely understand why would an executive think it's not worth the hassle. It's not that you can't fight a false accusation, you can and very likely to win, it's just that even if proven wrong, people will never look you the same, people will always think there is no smoke without fire. In rare cases, company will just settle with the women and lay off the accused man, without a chance to fight it off. There is a dangerous assumption here in that their are no unscrupulous women. In effect, women who would lie and bear false witness. Then there is the premise that women don't harass. Lastly the idea that this #metoo will extend to minority women and others when the need occurs, ask Terry Cruise. It makes for a very isolated personal landscape in highly competitive environments. Having had all this occur personally to me while working at IBM in 1999-2000, I say socialize who you want and broker no "discussions" on your position. Because in the end you have to live with you not a company not a team or employees.

I feel qualifications for the job trumps gender, race, etc. I've never used the race card to move up because I believe you earn your place in life and work. At this moment at work I hear people speaking of hiring more women to balance out the work place. That's fine, but hire people that are qualified not because they are a specific gender or race.

An absolute epic fail because it is absolute BS. As for that woman who led off -- you can take your empathy and shove it. Men like me did mentor women in the workplace. What happened is that men like me got thrown under the bus by those very same women that we mentored. As a result -- along with no longer cohabitating with or marrying women -- men like me are no longer mentoring women. Why? Because it's not worth it -- and our freedom these days is more important to us than being a step ladder to a woman's success.

WAAAAAAY too many false accusations going on for men to take the risk. Most of the accusations are for what happened in the woman's brain and nowhere else. Besides that, it's much more likely a man is going to put in the hours and stick with it, instead of say, bailing out to have kids; that makes men more appealing for mentoring since its less likely the mentor will be wasting his time.
