Some of Former First Lady Imelda Marcos collection of shoes, mix of local and imported brands are to be found at the Shoe Museum in the Northern city of Marikina, the Shoe Capital of The Philippines. The museum have some of her flats, high heels, boots and slippers. What's the shoe size? It's 21.6 centimeter or 8.5 inches. Entrance fee to the museum is only 50 pesos (1 usd) and they give discount to Senior Citizens and PWDs, just you need to present your ID. All in the second floor of the museum are former First lady Imelda's shoes. I will soon upload a video of the shoe collection at the first floor. I hope you will all enjoy watching!

It was a reminder of how strong our shoe industry was before. The businesses were bold enough to offer the Former First Lady Imelda Marcos their products so that it could garner interest and investments from foreign dignitaries and businessmen if she used it to attend galas.

One claim that may refute the claim that the shoes are a sign of extravagance of imelda is, they do not have same shoe size…imelda’s size is 8…how come other shoes there are size 4, 5, etc? It may be true that most of those shoes are gifts from shoe makers in marikina as their gratitude to imelda for allowing their products to be introduced outside the country. Not all leaders have that kind of pride for what their country people’s craft.

Those were the times when Marikina shoes are very elegant and at par with world class shoes. She brings so much pride to the Filipino made shoes. Now mga design sa Marikina outdated, I went there 4 yrs ago and dismayed on the design of the shoes and was not able to buy a pair. My sister in law also went to Marikina to buy a shoes and when we look closely it was actually China made shoes being sold in Marikina 😅
@soccreyes4647
@soccreyes4647 2 года назад
It's not surprising that you like quality elegant shoes. You're Barbie Girl. Just kidding. Anyway, about the original Marikina made shoes can still be found in Marikina, you just have to know where to look for it. It kind of costs more than the foreign ones sold in Markina, but it's worth it because it's durable including the belts. I personally have used OG Marikina leather products for going to the office and believe you me, it took years for it to be weathered and broken.

Why is Madam's Shoe Collection even an issue, when every woman who is well and able, collects shoes. Madam was First Lady, and whether we like it or not, she had to be presentable. She promoted the Marikina Shoe Industry. Most of the shoes in her collection were either gifts or samples given to her. Why not make a big fuzz out of Kris Aquino's designer shoe collection or Jinky Pacquiao's thousands of expensive shoes which she flaunts on her vlogs? It is Cory Aquino who demonized Madam Imelda because she (Cory) could never be like the Former First Lady, regal, poised and beautiful. Cory was the opposite, so she vindictively vilified Madam and used all her evil powers to persecute the Marcoses and grab their wealth. Envy reeked all over her Administration. Fate had its way of seeking vengeance. The dramatic twist of fate speaks loudly of the bad Karma that finally beset the Aquinos and the redemption of the Marcoses. The painful deaths of Ninoy and the two Aquino presidents and now, the incurable disease that Kris Aquino's money cannot even seek to cure, these are all elements of Divine Justice. After 36 years of oppression and vilification, God turned the tides for the Marcoses and humbled the Aquinos face down! The Golden Rule. Karma is Real! 🙏🙏🙏❤💚

Marikina is for Marcos... Imelda is so proud of Marikina shoes, that she wears anywhere she goes for display of our quality products... She had all of it for collection which the world accused her of wasting the money of Philippines... That's why we should support her. Mayor Marcy is doing it, so must we... Stop the hate... And it was given to her regularly and wholeheartedly... We must promote things that can damage our qualities as a man of the Phils. especially Marikina...
