Thank you very much!! Just helped my buddy do this, his old VGT snapped the shaft. I really appreciate the detail and help from you! We got it going. Thank God someone had already done it and the exhaust bolts were not bad. I'll tell you though, one of the turbo hold down bolts was crazy tight. Both were over 600ft-lbs to break loose. Unreal. Took us most of the day and 4 breaker bars(I broke the first 3) and lots of heat and penetrant to git-r-done!
Thanks for the video I just lifted my cab off for the rear up pipes.... after it was all back together the high pressure turbo bearing failed. great damn timing i'd say. I was really hoping to see good news but its basically 75% of the same work to get the cab off...
Wish i could find someone willing to do this same repair in my area. Need it done immediately!! I’m a 5.9 Cummins fella. These dang engines are packed in there like sardines
I pulled the whole engine with the cab on, turbos off first, then engine came out, currently putting the 6.4 back in in my drive way after a full rebuild 😅😂
This can be done without lifting or removing the cab, or removing the transmission. I just took the turbos off a f350 6.4 without doing anything. I'm just here trying to figure out how to remove the actuator from the turbo. 😂
