It does not accurately depict human trafficking. It is usually carried out by people these kids know and trust... Not random creepy guys, it is doing a disservice to the victims. Tim Ballard has lied for years about this stuff, he exaggerates his accomplishments, does not share where the money is going that he has raised to help victims... There is shady stuff going on. Do some research. It is one thing when movies based on a true story have adjusted some of the storyline so that it can be translated to film, it is a different thing entirely when someone out right lies about what he has done. @@CAC6363the island operation shown in the movie actually happened. 120 people were actually rescued in Tim Ballard’s career. Even if some things in the movie were exaggerated, it’s still trying to bring light to a very real very serious problem. If they showed explicit details of trafficking like assault it would be disrespectful. This is a problem that Hollywood is trying to cover up but means so much to the people involved with this movie that they fought back and still continue to do so. They’re fighting to bring light to a righteous cause and NO ONE can fault them for that.

@@OMAR-vk9pi ITS BASED ON A TRUE STORY, they don't want to show a real reenactment of child sex trafficking in this movie because it would become more triggering and restrictive. So, they made it less triggering. Based means it's about something, it doesn't have to be 100% accurate. I hate when people say it's not accurate because if they show children doing these horrifying activities, the movie would not even come out.

When the movie was made back in 2018, people likely wouldn’t have cared and the movie would have died a solitary death at the box office. But because the studio that made The Chosen picked it up, they had a built-in audience to target with it. And the unusual nature of promoting the movie is creating hype around it.

That's the ONLY people that HATE this movie!!! Take a closer look at the "lifestyles" of some of these people hating on this based-on-a-true-story movie.
