Building and restoring horse drawn vehicles involves a number of factors that determine when a wagon or carriage is preserved versus being restored. Foremost is the owner's intent for the vehicle and monetary commitment, but also of importance is the present condition of the vehicle in consideration. Weighing these factors is part of the process in determining whether the wagon or carriage is restored or preserved. This wagon will be a mixture of both: the undercarriage will be preserved while the upper sheep wagon body will be restored. This is the start of the process.
