Somebody Beat the Hell Outta Him - Law & Order SVU 

SPOILERS: Its ultimately revealed that it was in fact the mother who was molesting the child and effectively played the biological father and stepfather against each other. Both believed the other father was responsible for the abuse. So while the biological father may of thought he was justified in 'beating the hell' out of the stepfather, in reality he was hurting a person who while acting like a d***, was in fact innocent. It's not revealed what happens to the biological father in the episode, but if real world law is anything to go by he probably went to prison.

@@applefly8 However he was manipulated by the real abuser and in all honesty I feel that the worst he should be charged as an accessory, but then again I'm no lawer.

I just realized that Olivia Benson was the only female detective on the svu squad through seasons 2-12. And Monique Jeffries left in season 2 and Dani beck was a detective on the squad in season 8 as Olivia's replacement but she was just temporary she left the squad in the same season

Olivia has been on SVU since Season 1 and the longest recurring character on the show, along with Fin.

SVU is one of those rare shows where you can recognize which season the aired episode comes from depending on a person's hairstyle. Lol

She's quite a bit thinner here. She's not fat now but definitely gained a few.

This reminds me of a scene from the 1972 disaster movie "The Poseidon Adventure". Ernest Borgnine and Stella Steven play a couple who are always sniping at each other. Ernest Borgnine is yelling about something. Stella Stevens says quietly, "You don't...have.. to shout". "All right", the husband says, "I was just saying..." then is interrupted by "I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME!!"
