I continue to be impressed with this band. Melody’s voice on this song was fantastic, it fit her perfectly. Now if they can just keep rocking out and not let the record companies turn them into some kind of pop band.

They are making their own "records" and their Dad is their producer and agent. So far, they don't need the record companies as they have their own studio and doing their thing. And yes, they are now on their first cross country tour.

She has one of the best and original sounding vocals I have heard come out in the last few years, who isnt an image wrapped around an autotune manipulated voice! Reminds me of a Metal Janus coming to a new generation, Hope she continues, and grows as an artist. She has the talent to go all the way with the band! The lead guitarist, and rhythm guitarist has the stage presence and wicked playing ability that shows, and their drummer is just utterly fantastic. This band is over all great and hopefully will grow and stay together and take it to new levels.

They aren't even from the grunge era, when I was a little kid. Not even from the post-grunge era. Not even from the nu-metal era. Not even the later part of death metal. Death metal was popular in my teens and in early 20's. Death metal bands galore in my home-town. The one local band neocracy played with a pro band ammon amarth.

Jimmy Bell Brother, you are absolutely on point. I just turned 60 so as you know, we grew up listening to the best rock and roll of all time starting with the British Invasion from the late 60’s and going all thru the 70’s. It’s a time and quality of music that will never be duplicated let alone topped. And one day out of nowhere here comes Liliac. The first time I heard them I was blown away and thinking that these kids were stuck in a time warp and brought to us from 70’s. These guys are killing it with every single track they play. I can’t wait until they leave California and start touring because I was to see them “Live” so bad. They are classic Rockstars and a very respectable and very humble group. I salute their father for teacher them all the instrumentation and music. He has raised a beautiful family, along with their mother of course. I hope and pray that they stay together because they’re going to the very top of the charts if they do.

Well we already see Melody, Sam, Ethan and Abigail are pretty good musicians. But a lot of songs they've posted don't really show Justin's Musical chops that well. A Song like Perfect Strangers is Keyboard and bass intensive...which would give Melody and Justin a chance to trade licks in the song...all while being glued together by Sam, Ethan and Abigail.

I grew up in Southern California as a teenager and was privileged to be able to see any number of bands then : Jefferson Airplane being one of them. These young people remind me of what I listened to back then. It isn’t often newer bands who come along and play a tune from our era sound good doing it - Lilac is an exception. Thank you for this.

AWESOME !! Just absolutely AMAZING !! Liliac should be performing this tune in the Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival this upcoming August 2019. This classic Jefferson Airplane song was performed at the original 1969 Woodstock Festival and God only knows, NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR Jay-Z or Miley Cyrus at the Woodstock Festival this upcoming summer.

Wow. You impress me more and more with each vid! Although I was only 6 years old when this song came out, Jefferson Airplane, Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Sabbath, the Stones, on and on, are what was playing in the house. Great tribute to Marty Balin! Your band is so tight! And I hate to pull favs...but, Melody your voice is so raw and powerful. I know folks have compared you to Lzzy Hale. And I see the similarities. I think you, however, have bit more growl in your whole range. And so young! Outstanding work...to all of you!!

I've probably watched this video 20 times now. The whole family is spot on, but I have to agree that Melody's voice just breaks out with this song. It's pure rock awesome, and a kind of vocal style we seldom get anymore. I don't say "this cover is as good as the original" easily or often, but in this case, that's exactly what it is, as good as the original. Actually, if I'm being honest, it's better. That's about the highest praise I can give. That, and if Liliac were anywhere close to me, I think I'd be a groupie. As it is, I'm going to have to get one of those autographed CDs so I can say I knew the band "back then".

After hearing this I was really impressed. There is just something that really makes it stand out from the original Jefferson Airplane recording. I listened to both side by side for a bit and in my opinion this version is just tighter and more together than the original. You are 5 people that seem to play as one. The timing is impeccable. You have taken a classic song and moved it forward into this time. Congratulations on an outstanding cover.

The reason probably has some thing to do with the fact that Liliac musicians weren’t wasted off their asses when rewording this song. That was the one problem with the groups of the 60s and 70s, they were truly fantastic players and writers, but many of those groups were flat out terrible I’ve because all of some of the musicians were wasted to the wind. No one plays better when they’re wasted, as many claim to. They, and their audiences just think they sound great because the fans are as blown away as the musicians themselves.

Awesome version of a song I've heard off and on since it came out, yup, I'm old..lol. This made my week. You guys are awesome, and Melody has a voice that will define your originals. Meaning, when we can't see who it is on the radio, we will know by that distinctive voice, and everyone else's perfect vocal harmonies. VanHalen back in the days when bassist Micheal Anthony was with them, he added the harmonies that made VanHalen recognized even when you could't see them.

Holy Moses! Yep, I'm that old... I watched Grace Slick live performing “Somebody to Love” back in 67 (Monterey). After I watched this video the first time I started it a second time and listened to it with my eyes closed. This girl channels Slick here... The powerful voice, the range, the phrasing, the tone... Wow! I don't like any of the pop and hip-hop crap that is produced these days but these guys made me think that there's still hope for music.

Amazing musicians, singer has that certain raspiness to her voice that puts her in a league of her own. Very few woman vocalists have that ability. Keep rocking!
