Found this in my to-be-converted VHS collection last night.
A segment from CNet Central, hosted by Richard Hart and Daphne Brogdon, circa 1997. Desmond Crisis gets to the bottom of an emerging new trend called "Arcade Emulation," using an application program known as M.A.M.E.. Michael Cuddy, creator of KEM (Killer Emulator) is interviewed.

I remember back in 97 when a buddy showed me his NES "collection" on his 486. I was like "no way". He copied for me Nesticle, Genecyst and a few roms onto 3.5 floppies... Later on, I got MAME and man, that changed my (video game) world. Being able to play SF2 and KOF without spending tokens, form the comfort of my home, priceless...

You probably remember the days of buying 50-pack floppies and having 1/4 of them not work! :P

I was surprised I had it on VHS still, myself. I came across an old tape labelled "Video Games" that started off with an old MTV special at Sega's Gameworks from the mid 90s. This was towards the end of that tape, after all the other video game stuff I recorded was over. I know I have a segment with Gina St. John showing off Mario 64 and a Resident Evil segment as well from Cnet... if only I can find them one day.

Takes me back. I wish they would have a CNET central type show today.

And after all this time, Saturn emulation still isn't all that great.

This show went downhill after it switched from the SciFi channel to USA Network, and lost Gina St John.
