In high school, we all have a Konstantine and we all have a Jordan. Andrew has been my hero since sixth grade. I am going to be going into my last year of high school and the music Andrew wrote when he was my age has been the soundtrack of my life for so many years now. He rejuvenates me.
He's one of my favorite artists without even trying! I loved Something corporate and jack's mannequin without even knowing it was him on both. I legittt love JM, I even got a tattoo. I really wish Andrew would just tour with both projects 🥲 at least once. I would give anything. I'd definitely fly to the states just to see him!
I agree I love all three Something Corporate has to be my favorite but I love the newer stuff from Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness I just wish that they played more on the radio
I still think it's amazing that they used to drag that piano on tour. One of my favorite shows in my early twenties was kicking it with these guys in a small venue in Sacramento.
The first and only time I ever heard this song was one morning when I was getting dressed in my hotel room in Rome and this was playing on MTV when I got out of the shower. It was December of 2002 and, oddly enough, I've never forgotten the lyrics ("High school's over"). It was the day I was leaving to come back to the States and this felt quintessentially American. Also -- there, the eff word was not blanked out like it is here.
I remember listen to this song during my last two years of high school! I count down the days when I can get out of that damn prison! This is the song that completely changed my taste 13 years ago. I'm laughing because I'm introducing Andrew to my son and now all I can think about is singing this to my 2 year old lol (which I wont) I forgot how great this was.

So, if I see Jordan, what am I supposed to do? The chorus starts like a command or a warning, like "If you see Jordan, you should...." but then Andrew just states his opinion of Jordan. What do I do if I see Jordan?!? Do I let Andrew know that I saw Jordan? Do I tell Jordan that he makes Andrew sick? Do I pick a fight with Jordan? I don't know Jordan, I don't want to fight him! I have so many questions!
I went to an All Time Low concert the other day and The Ready Set was opening for them. Someone next to me said "I can't wait to see Jordan!" I don't even have to say what I started singing. :D
