Update: • kitties who have a close bond with their owner (usually its specifically one) will become very attached and cuddly in hopes it will signal that you will be with them during the birth • a lot of vocalisation also means she may be feeling movement and possibly preparing herself Maybe try and like this so Joey can see? 💗

When my cat was pregnant (both times she refused to go into labor when I wasn’t in the room she literally waiting until I got home from work to go into labor and I had to stay with her in the bathroom for 6 hours until she finally had them. She was doing exactly what your cat is doing being extra cuddly and licking/cleaning me like crazy. So she is definitely very close to having the kittens. And I would try to stay in the room with her so she knows that she is safe with you not just in a box. Love you Joey

Some tips for Sir Joey: If she shows alot of love and affection way more than she normally does, that could be a sign that she is in labour and needs comfort. If she keeps meowing and her meows change, like a more painful meow or scared meow (depends if its her first litter) then it could be a sign that she is in labour. If she paces around the room alot, and hides alot more, she is going into labour and wants to hide If she keeps needing, its just a comfort thing. If she doesnt eat, or eats alot more than she could be going into labour. If she keeps constantly licks in her private area, and you notice a bubble , or clear substance or even blood whenever she sits down and stands up, then she is definitley in labour, the clear stuff is her mucus plug, which is what holds the babies in. WARNING: Some babies may be born hours apart (max 4 hours) after that call a vet.. You may have to help her give birth, or perform CPR on a kitten, then call a vet or animal hospital straight away. She may want to be around other females animals or humans, as its a comfort thing, She may not even want anybody to be near her when she gives birth ❤ My Friends mum is a Vet, and she helped my cat deliver 7 babies, and her other litters as well and told me all those tips ❤ Stay safe Joey! Since you have husky’s you can make a “bird nest feeder” with the hair. You put it outside in like a caged basket and birds use it to help build their nests.

She’s very attached to Joey which is really normal with a pregnant cat normally they get attached to the owners who have spent more time with them cause they know you are trust worthy my pregnant cat wouldn’t allow anyone to touch her kittens unless it was me it’s always really helpful to her cause she knows she’s very safe and she knows that Joey is gonna be with her the whole time so she’s attached to him more and more as if he were the daddy cat good luck Sakura your so precious and I’m sure your kitten will be just as precious too

She looks like her fur is made of silk, she’s so pretty

So my cat had kittens twice and when I learned if you need to keep everything close to each other like keep a litter box close to where you want her to have her babies and her food and water make sure to give her what food and also make sure it's in like a nice shadowy place and make sure that you there's like no one noise like it has to be in a nice quiet place and make sure to put a nice comfy bed in there to and try using like a like pet crate like what you take her to the vet in and when she has kittens make sure to not touch the kittens till there at least a day old don't separate them from the mom also.

Those are signs that she is going into labour, I say yes sleep there, she was very cuddly because of the hormones of loving her babies! They are coming soon! If she is moving a lot, especially her belly then she is going into labour! Good luck to you Joey! And when she is in labour give her a lot of space, and making a lot of rooms for her is an excellent idea, I say a good place to make is one that is very dark and makes her feel secure make it EXTRA cozy so that when the kittens come they can be warm, kittens lose body temperature fast, they need to be warm immediately after birth, baths, and feeding time. I suggest get a heat pad so the babies and Sakura can be warm faster and it is very good to have just in general. I suggest also to get lots of blankets, pillows, etcetera. And do NOT help her with birth, only if you absolutely have to help, help Sakura! Comfort her just before she gives birth, pat her and tell her she’s a good girl, and when you see a baby, give her a lot of space for a good while. Make sure the kittens are getting enough milk and suckling properly, make all of the cats feel safe, warm, secure, and overall love them! Give her lots of cuddles! This is just advice Joey, have fun with parenting kittens with Sakura!

Hey joey! My cat had kittens recently. It’s almost like the birth or a dog. They are very verbal when there water breaks. They will nest in a place and when they are about to give birth they will meow in pain and roll on there backs and they give birth to 3 up to 10 and if the kittens are to big you might need to help her. And if she has her water sack hanging it you might need to break it if it hasn’t broke in 30 minutes. And if it happens do NOT pop it you need to tear it with a cloth. That’s about all I can tell you for now. congrats little Sakura. I hope this helped you in any way

Just a tip for cats: most don't like "big fancy things" and prefer simple things like a couch or a simple corner. They don't usually like large, open boxes (like the one you made) and prefer confined spaces because it makes them feel safe. They also are very independent so they don't like it when you try to get them to go somewhere or do something. They have to be the one to do it on their own. Also, a lot of cats don't like toys. I have two cats and only one of them is playful. I don't know as much about pregnant cats because I've never had one but I've been researching cats my whole life so I know enough about them. Pregnant cats do tend to get really clingy around the time they're going to give birth, but when she does do NOT interfere. Almost all cats like to give birth ALONE, especially since she used to be a stray. She also most likely will only let YOU touch her babies. In all honesty, I wouldn't advise having anyone else come near her babies because it could stress her out immensely. My Twitter is @Hollytops123 in case you have any questions. If she is that means she is going to give birth, sometimes the cats wants to give birth alone and private and if she was panting do not worry it just means she is gonna give birth. All of my cats have given birth directly beside me, I use to take in a lot of strays and when they bond to you it’s like a sort of comfort for them to give birth next to you. All of them ended up getting spayed/neutered and found great homes! When she does give birth be on the lookout for runts!! Sometimes the mother rejects them and you’ll have to bottle feed.

Huskies have 2 coats. An undercoat (the fluffy thick cotton-like hair) and top coat(thinner more coarse hair). They "blow"(starts to look patchy) their undercoat typically twice a year; once when temps turn hot then again when temps turn cold. When they do blow their undercoat, it's best to use an UNDERCOAT RAKE. It literally looks like a tiny rake but it removes the blown undercoat really well.

One time my pregnant cat was being cuddle and wanted to be petted on her stomach . I felt a bump near her (you know what) under her skin . I was worried about my cat then she walk away toward dark part of my closet I let her be worry then 3 minute pass I check . She was giving birth on top of my pile of cloths .I WAS SURPRISE and call my sis and I figure she wanted us to stay and help out . And the bump I felt was her first baby ready to come out .
