Just sharing a funny moment I had thanks to you, I have surgery pending and the nurse at my pre-op asks me if I know what clorhexidine is. I busted up laughing and said "Yeeaaa, I know what that is" 😂😂😂
So nice to be able to turn on this channel today and NOT have to worry about whether or not this is some April Fool’s gimmick. Such a refreshing thing to experience!
Bad bait, others that do it should be able to, as long as they don't hurt anybody it's perfectly fine if there's a harmless joke here or there. Unless you're not the joking type then you're probably not going to like parties either.
@Apricotoxy humour is like food, you either get it, or you don't. Everyone has their own thing, and I you've been on youtube for at least 5vyears, it does get repetitive and boring... the first might find funny but when you just want to enjoy and relax, then your limited by a gimick
Hey Nate, I know it's not a competition, but I came to your channel first and decided to give the Hoof GP a shot after so many mentions about that channel from you and the comments in your various videos. I have to say, yours are FAR superior in my opinion. I've been trying to get into his as a way to expand my hoof trimming videos, but his have just become unwatchable. They're like a vlog mixed with a soap opera when all I'm wanting to see is hoof trimming with some solid, friendly, and well-informed commentary. Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work!
i think the highly dramatic and shocking thumbnails kept me from getting in to the Hoof GP channel. I find the better channels on youtube don't opt for the extreme click bait type shots. Thanks for confirming my impression!
I think that it is good that people have different personalities and styles of content creation. While I may prefer one over others, I recognize not everyone shares the same preference. Audiences, through views, likes, and comments, tend to shape how a content creator makes decisions going forward. I like when the person producing videos stays true to their core reason.
I like how your videos are simple and straight to the point and you're very gentle with the cows. I don't have to skip to find the trimming part. Also love how you explain everything so patiently in every video. Special appreciation to the way you give brief recaps, no nonsense there as well. God bless you!
Must have been a really sharp object to do that! It was interesting seeing the two sides of the crack fall away from each other as you slice, which shows that they really were fully separated.
Hi Nate, really enjoying watching what you do. As the son of an Equine Vet I'm very familiar with blacksmithing for horses, but had never been aware of the hoof ailments of cattle. Learning allot watching you, and thanks again! The cows are grateful as well :) The best to you and your loved ones!
Try Hoof GP. He is as gentle as he possibly can. Though blood does appear sometimes mostly cause of nasty cavities in some of the hoofs he works on. I've seen Hoof GP work on the lighter easier to look at stuff and the ugly. He tells us the process like this guy here, and everything recommend checking him out.
@@specificanimeedits hoof GP has become more and more like a vlog more than just trimming. People are neither interested in nor have the time for all of that stuff.
Fantastic video! I was surprised by how small the area of loose horn ended up being on the puncture wound, and I'm glad the other lovely lady has healed up so well! And I appreciated that the angle meant we got to catch a glimpse of the face protection you use!
I love it when there’s updates on past cows! While watching the pressure be relieved is already very satisfying, there is nothing that gives more satisfaction than seeing those perfectly-healed hooves. The product of all the care given to them!
Great job Nate, just love the follow up trims, so nice to see the cows making a full recovery, nothing like a good head scratch on a bale of hay😂thank you for posting Nate, hope your family and beautiful Meadow are well and happy, take care.👍💙🐄
Going down the rabbit hole watching your videos, and the one thing that I can say I said on each video is this...: "poor baby"😢 Though it is mostly just your job, you are doing a good work helping these cows 😄
It is really interesting, there's a lot that can happen. Would recommend his past videos on the different dermatitis and dew claw issues (the secondary floating claws)
Thank you so much for your love of what you do. Because you share that love with us.....you have ignited my love for helping cows. I have decided to go to school so I can do this to! 🎉
I have missed you, Nate! I know it’s time consuming to make your videos but I could watch you everyday and I do by replaying videos. I have found a couple of other cow hoof trimmers if I get desperate but it’s just not the same. You truly have the best voice, narration, and trimming technique of all others I’ve seen. I especially like the fact that you don’t play sappy annoying music in the background. THANK YOU FOR THAT! Can’t wait for your next videos.
Always appreciate the camera views and your intense notice of details. The cleanliness of your trimming is top notch and cannot be beat! Hope your neck is feeling better as a fellow neck issue person... I couldn't imagine doing this kind of work with neck issues... The constant downward looking 😮
Nate, I moved from Pennsylvania to Arizona. During my travels back and forth, I see a lot of “cows” free ranging roaming among all the cactus with no “barn” in sight! How do these cows manage when one of the barbs get stuck in their hoods? I mean the farmer might not see all the cows for a month. After watching all your videos, I feel so bad for those animals out there.
Great video, Nate! Don't worry about the camera angle. RU-vid now has a feature that allows you to zoom in in videos. Up to 8x I think! So we can get all in there and see the affected areas.
It is always a pleasure to watch a true craftsman at work. Nate, you make it look easy. That comes from experience and desire to do the best job possible with very little pain to the cows.
Another great video Nate. You are always great at explaining exactly what’s going on and why you are doing what you do. No fancy gimmicks just good trimming 😁
Thanks Nate the Hoof Guy , and the Ladies of the Barn. You share with us generously, your skill, knowledge and humor; while doing so without asking for anything. Today you win the internet, imo. 🌞🐄 🏆
Nice work guys well done reminds me of when my dad did owe cows hoofs when i was a kid i loved watching him do his work and i would help him i hadxalot of fun with fixing the cows hoofs amyway thanks for sharing kind regards Greg Lee from Melbourne victoria Australia.
For something to be able to cut through that hoof just shows how much a cow can weigh and how much force they step down with. Thank you for sharing this with us Nate!
Nice job, Nate. Even though I grew up in a small town in Indiana, I was never much of a livestock person, and anyway Indiana is more pigs than cows as a rule, but your channel has got me following a lot of cow-centric accounts on Instagram now! It's down to you and your hooves, Nate! 😀 You have single-handedly opened up the World of Cows.
I'm really glad you don't require sponsors. Because it'd be kind of weird to watch you start the trim of a hoof. And then Raid Shadow Legends comes in...
This was my first block removal! 😊 I love how gentle you are with the cattle you treat. And the one you removed the block from really enjoyed the neck scratching you gave her!
You said because the first cow was lame that you knew there was a deeper issue. I would think the crack she had would be issue enough for lameness. Or am I wrong? I love that you are so gentle and only took away the part of the hoof that had to go. I know someone else (cough, cough) who would have been hacking away at it and would have taken down the whole hoof wall. As always, your work is superior.
Oh wow, that second girl didn't like head scratches before, but in this video she didn't seem to mind. Just goes to show how much pain she'd been in before!
Camera angle was not to bad Nate. Im pleased to see your focused on yourself getting the good angles to do a proper job than camera angle. Great job as always.
Just got off a 16 hour shift. Seeing this at the top of my feed was like a banner marking the start of relaxation. Thanks for what you do and how you do it, Nate.
Hi Nate, I've recently stumbled upon your videos and it's fair to say I've become pretty obsessed 🤭 I'm watching a lot of your older videos and while watching this one I came to wonder if any cows ever struggle with their balance when they get a block. Really love your videos!
I love how you take pride in your work and pay attention to the little things too like just taking a second to grind off excessive glue, and making sure the wound is always really clean
5919 is a sweetie. She gave you a quick back glance thank you so I won't do it for her. You're the BEST, Nate AND.... you're an American. I am proud of you!🐄🐄🐄❤
I love a good toe trim. It's my favorite part. I could watch a whole video of just toes being rounded. Hint hint 😉 lol thanks for another awesome video.
The first heifer’s claw, (pedal bone/treated like a white line access) was pretty bad. One way for me to tell other than the line or puncture, is to check where the dew claws are. Her poor hoof was red, and it looked inflamed and rubbery. I feel like that can be one clue to see what you are dealing with. Great video and I’m over the moon 🌝 🐄 💨 that their healing is progressing well! ❤️🩹
